After eating dinner - with only her mother since her father was still busy and Six's stomach was already shouting for redemption - Six went on up to her room and did all of her homework (ugh) and brushed her teeth, changing to her comfy yellow cotton tank top and black pjs. She plopped down to her bed, snuggling under the covers and hoped that sleep would slam Six's head and knock her out.
But like all the time, Six tossed and turned, her eyebrows furrowing as she focused on sleeping. The nice embrace of sleep and also the cold harsh nightmares she might face - or dreamless sleep if she was lucky.
Six heard something click, her eyes shot open. She looked over her clock to see it was twelve of midnight. Her parents should be asleep now and there shouldn't be any noises.
Six frowned, silently freaking out. She shook her head and lied back down her bed, maybe Six was hearing things for being so tired of burning her head to answer her homework. Her eyes still open she turned to the other side and jolted.
"What in the holy cheese!" Six shouted as she sat up straight on her bed.
There was a figure at the end of the room, hidden in the shadows yet Six could still see their figure. They stood and tilted their head to the side, slowly smirking at Six.
"Who... Who are you?!" Six asked while grabbing the nearest object on her bedside table, "I have a pen and I'm not afraid to use it!"
The figure giggled as they grinned wickedly, slowly they made their way out of the shadows and Six crawled back. When she noticed she was at the edge of her bed she stood, still holding out the pen to the figure.
"Oh Six," the figure said and Six shivered as they stepped out the shadows and into the moonlight that seeped through Six's open window. How could Six not figure out it was her... And another question, how is she out of Six's subconsious?!
"S-Shadow Six?... H-How... How are you here?" Six stammered while Shadow Six rose her hand and looked at it through the moonlight, "I just have enough power to finally head out your subconsious," she said as the light passed through her, she frowned, "But not that enough to be fully solid."
Six lowered the pen and furrowed her eyebrows at the shadow child, "What do you want?"
Shadow Six turned to her and smiled, the world blacked out and Six yelped. Light came back and Shadow Six was beside Six. Six jolted back and bumbed on the bedside table. Shadow Six smiled, "Nothing, Six. Can't I visit you in this house? Sweet parents, by the way."
Six's eyes widened and she scowled, "If you think of hurting them you have another thing coming Shadow Six."
Shadow Six chuckled, "You say that to your parents who don't even know your secret yet!" She said while walking closer, "When are you going to tell them that you turn to a monster or eat anything when you get too hungry?"
Six opened her mouth to protest, yet Shadow Six continued, "No one will be safe once the rumble comes. And once that does, horror comes next. Your sweet world will be nothing, and you will have nothing to do to stop it."
Six's face filled with confusion, she blinked, "Wha-."
"Wake up now."
==================
Six woke up and jolted upright, her eyes wide as she scanned the room. She saw it was still dark, moonlight passing through her window... She felt debaffled, wasn't she trying to sleep last night and Shadow Six showed out of no where?... Or did she sleep and dreamed what happened next in a very lucid dream that it felt very real.
Six shook her head, probably it was all a dream. That's all. There is no way that her nightmares was turned to reality. Six decided it, she was just dreaming it all.
Or... was she?...
Six looked up to the ceiling as she tried to remember her conversation with Shadow Six. Yet all what Shadow Six said was unclear, it was like trying to translate a different language to English. What rumble? What horror will come? What will happen to this world, again?
She shook her head while massaging her temples, Six was just dreaming it all, that was it. It's like any other nightmare with Shadow Six, even if that one felt very, very real.
Looking over the clock, it was 3:45 a.m., still early to wake up. But being so shaken from that nightmare Six pushed off the covers and stood up. Her stomach gave a small light growl and she huffed, looking over to her bedside table to see she forgot to put a snack before she went to sleep.
Six sighed in annoyance that she forgot her nightly routine - the hamburger was the setback. The thought of hamburgers made Six's stomach growled again.
She held on her stomach and walked out her room. Six peeked out the door to see the dark hall that is dimly lit from the moonlight. Six turned to see her parent's room was still closed, so that meant they were still asleep. She carefully closed her bedroom door and tip-toed downstairs to the kitchen.
On the way her stomach growled again, yet louder. Six winced and picked up her pace before she gets a hunger strike. She skipped the last step and made her way quickly to the kitchen. Her stomach growled again, it felt like it was slightly stabbing Six's insides, telling her to hurry up or she would feel pain like last time.
Six opened the fridge to see the hamburgers on a lock-and-lock. She pulled it out and picked out the next biggest piece - not even bothering to warm it up, her stomach won't know the difference anyway.
Six placed the burger on a plate and stowed away the rest in the fridge. She quickly ate it before her stomach hurts her more, the pain quickly washed away and Six's shoulders sank as she sighed out in relief. She finished her hamburger and washed the plate, then picked out some snacks, then she walked out the kitchen, leaving everything as it was before she entered.
She walked on to the stairs when in the corner of her eyes she caught something standing in the living room. Six stopped, her heart beating fast as she turned to the living room, only see nothing. This caused a shiver run down her spine.
Maybe my eyes are playing tricks with me, Six mused as she continued to the stairs, she walked on up and halfway, she felt an aura behind her. Six turned back to see nothing. She frowned and quickly went up the stairs making slightly loud noises that may wake up her parents - yet Six didn't care now.
She made it to the top and ran for her bedroom before the aura comes back. Six closed the door behind her and sighed out while leaning on the door. She took a deep breath to calm down her fast-beating heart and walked on back to her bed, since there was nothing else she could do either way.
Six stayed under the covers and grabbed her phone, since she was too creeped out to go back to sleep, she decided to go pull an all-nighter and watch some silly cat videos to lighten up her mood.
Halfway watching the third cat video, Six's eyelids got heavy and she closed it. Taking a small nap.
What she didn't know, there was a shadow that creeped outside her door and slink in the bedroom. Shadow Six formed back once she made it inside and huffed, "That was close," she mumbled while gazing over Six's sleeping form, slowly smirking, "At least I managed to stir fear in her head, even if she believes that our conversation was a dream. That'll just make her crazy," she giggled silently before disappearing into the shadows and out to the night.
Shadow Six looked around and stood on the roof of the nearest house, she then gazed upon the silent neighborhood once again as she saw other small shadows dance though the darkness, causing a small rumble.
"It's almost time. Just a few more days."
