Nero bolted up in bed, shaking and whimpering with tears rolling down his cheeks. He had an awful nightmare. He wiped his tears away and got out of bed, wanting a drink. As soon as he got out of bed he noticed a wet feeling between his legs. He looked down and noticed the front of his pants were soaked. Nero whimpered again, feeling bad. He's 4 years old, he shouldn't be wetting the bed. He suddenly got scared, not sure how his dad would react to him wetting the bed. Nero grabbed his soiled sheets and stuffed them in the closet. He then got dressed into clean underwear and pants and put the soiled ones in the closet with the dirty sheets. He then headed into the kitchen for a drink.

Nero pushed a chair towards the counter and got up on it then the counter. He opened the cupboard and grabbed one of his sippy cups. Before he could step down on the chair, He was picked up and settled on his father's hip.
"What are you do-... Why are you crying?" Vergil asked and wiped away his sons tears. Nero sniffled and said "I had a nightmare." Vergil frowned and bounced his son gently, saying "Wanna talk about it?" Nero immediately and furiously shook his head, not wanting to bring it up or even remember it.

Vergil set Nero down and took the sippy cup from him, heading to the fridge. He grabbed some apple juice from the fridge and filled the sippy cup. As he poured the juice he said "Lets get you a drink and head back to bed." Vergil put the little cap on and turned around, that's when he noticed something was off. He knelt down and gave his son his sippy cup of juice and said "Why are you wearing different pajama pants then the ones I dressed you in?" Nero didn't respond to that, he didn't know how. He just put his head down and let more tears fall. Vergil stood up and calmly said "Come with me." he headed off to Nero's room, Nero following slowly behind his father.

Vergil walked over to Nero's bed. It looks normal but Vergil knew two things: the sheets are either soaked or hidden. He walked over and pulled back the blanket, when he didn't see the sheets, he checked under the bed, but they weren't there. Vergil knew there was only more place to look. The closet. He opened the door and saw wet sheets, pajama pants, and underwear. He grabbed the sheets and turned to face Nero. As soon as Nero saw his father holding his wet sheets, he started to cry and said "I'm sorry! Please don't be mad at me!" Vergil dropped the sheets and picked Nero up, he bounced him gently and said "It's okay, I'm not mad. It was just an accident, no big deal." Nero looked up and said "Promise you're not mad?" Vergil smiled lightly and said "I promise." Nero returned the smile and rested his head on his father's chest.

Vergil rubbed Nero's back a bit before setting him down and saying "Did you clean yourself after the accident?" Nero shook his head and said "I didn't know I had to" Vergil grabbed his son's hand and led him to the bathroom while saying "You need to clean yourself after an accident otherwise you'll get very sticky down there and you could get a rash" Vergil set the toilet lid down and placed Nero on it. He grabbed a washcloth and wet it before pulling down Nero's pants and underwear. He quickly cleaned him up, wanting to get him back to bed as soon as possible, He's only four and needs his sleep. Vergil got his son dressed again and said "Okay, drink your juice and let's head back to bed" Nero nodded and guzzled his juice, which caused Vergil to gently take the sippy cup away from him and say "Don't drink fast. You'll make yourself sick."
"Sorry, daddy." Nero said as Vergil gave him his sippy cup back. Nero drank slowly and Vergil picked him up, carrying him to his room.

Nero finished his juice and Vergil placed him in his bed, he turned around and said "I'm gonna wash your sheets and clothes" As soon as Vergil left the room, Nero grabbed the remote and turned on the T.V. that Vergil has in his room. He switched the channel to Baby Looney Tunes and watched T.V. , smiling. When Vergil came back in the room, he looked at the T.V. for a moment before saying "You can leave the T.V. on only for tonight, because you had a nightmare" Nero smiled and said "Thank you, daddy." Vergil got in bed and held his son comfortingly as he always does when he has a nightmare.

Nero yawned, trying to fight sleep. he wanted to continue watching Baby Looney Tunes but it was getting harder and harder to stay awake. His head would droop down only for it to shoot back up a second later. Nero yawned and as soon as he did, Vergil started to hum a lullaby. Nero yawned again, loosing the battle against sleep. Within mere seconds, Nero was sleeping soundly in his father's arms.
