Magneto's Daughter
After a few hours of silence, Peter taps Erik's shoulder next-to him. "Hey. I, erm...know what you're thinking, and...what Shaw said was true. I'm your son. Nina...is too. -Your daughter, not your son obviously. I'm sorry you didn't hear it from me or..." Erik stares at him with tears in his eyes and ruffles his silvery hair lightly-but doesn't say anything. He smiles over at me. I smile anxiously back, but still, his mouth remains closed. When we land at the school, Erik pulls Peter away by his shoulder and grins. "I have...a son."
"Yes, Dad. You do." They grin warmly, then Dad pulls him into a hug. Watching this, I run over and join in. "And a daughter!" I correct him. Raven rushes over to them. "See. I told you you had more family than you know." Charles smiles at him from in front of his school and Dad releases his new-found children. He faces Charles and crouches in front of him. "Come here, you old man!"
"I'm not the one with four children, Erik!" They embrace each other, and I know Dad is trying to hide his tears. "Wait-Four children?!"
"Oh, yeah..." Peter says, rubbing his hair nervously. "I, erm, have a sister. She lives with my mother."
"Your mother?!" Dad exclaims. "Not to be rude, but...what's her name again?"
"Maximoff."
"Oh, Maximoff! Oh...Maximoff." He smiles dismissingly. "And yours?" He asks me.
"...Kalimoor. Nina Kalimoor."
He steps towards me. "Nina? You..."
"I know. The arrow didn't kill me...I-I can't heal, Dad."
This time, Dad doesn't bother to hide his tears and pulls me into a stronger hug. "Oh... I can't believe it! My baby..." He sobs. "I'm so sorry. After everything that's happened. I can't believe you're alive. I can't...I've missed your whole childhood! Where have you been?"
"Not all of it. I've been in Germany."
"Germany?! This whole time?"
"Yeah. I basically took care of myself. Why do you think I fainted, and was confused because you were in my house?! I didn't want to tell you the truth."
He chuckles and grins broadly; showing his teeth similar to a shark. Counting on his fingers, he says; "Peter. Nina. Peter's sister..."
"Wanda." Peter smiles.
"Wanda. Yes, of course." Dad smiles.
Later, In Our Room
"Hey, Xavier made a blind girl see. He could be Jesus!" Kurt says.
"Ha, ha. Very funny." Willow replies in a sarcastic tone. We laugh again. "I can't imagine Jesus saying 'It's a very groovy mutation' !" She does an impression of the Professor, and I laugh so hard, I feel like my throat is going to burst. This makes everyone lose it, and we can't stop laughing.
"Go to sleep, children!" Erik shouts, stifling a chuckle.
We eventually snuggle down and fall asleep, ready for tommorow. Christmas day. Jean's decorated the place in tinsel, baubles and lights. There is mistletoe at the bottom of the stairs-which will be interesting to see who ends up with who.
I can't wait to wake again and have my first ever real Christmas with my new family and new home.
