Everything was dark. Ebony felt damp soil beneath her. Her eyes adjusted to the dark and she looked around. She was surrounded by trees and ferns. She knew exactly where she was. She was in the forest that surrounds the mansion. Suddenly, there was a blood-curdling scream that sent a chill up her spine. Ebony got up and ran to where the sound came from. After what felt like hours of running, she found a girl on the ground in a pool of blood.

"Excuse me?" Ebony asked shakily. "I heard a scream.... are you ok?"

The girl looked up. She looked about the same age as her. But what made Ebony shiver was that the girl had no eyes, only black pits that looked like black holes about to suck out her soul. Frightened, Ebony ran. She ran and ran, lost. Ebony stopped and screamed. The girl was standing infront of her. She turned around but every time she turned her head, the girl was right behind her, those blackholes trying to steal her soul.

Ebony stopped to catch her breath. She saw lights up ahead. The mansion she thought with a sigh of relief.

She heard a twig snapping and looked behind her. The girl was almost face to face with Ebony. She screamed as the girl pulled out a knife and ran towards the light, away from the forest, away from the girl with the soul sucking eyes and into the arms of her dear aunt Francis. But she kept on running like the lights were only getting further away...
