11:00 PM— a knock comes at the door.

"Siwa! We have a mission. I already woke up the boys, come on!" a voice rang through.

The boy sighed, dragging himself out of bed. The past few days had been rather slow, waiting for signs of power to show within the people he managed. Actually getting sleep was one privilege he was enjoying since things now were slow.

"What is it this time? Gang murder? Suicide? Sacrifice???" he called out, slipping on his shoes, alert yet dazed at the same time.

"No, no. No one's died at all this time." the reply came.

"What? Then why are we going?" he asked, wondering what the purpose was of leaving in such a hurry.

"If we don't, there'll be two dead by sunrise."

«—»

A white flash of light.

It fades into nothing.

9 boys stand in it's wake.

An all too familiar process, except this time the teleportation lady had been kind enough to not drop them in a large empty field. Tonight, they stood in front of a large iron gate, and in the distance lie a large house, which one could label a mansion.

"Why can't we have some sort of classic alleyway murder? Not all this weird shit?" Baumé complained, sitting on the hard pavement and staring through the heavy gates. The two leaders simply ignored him, walking over to the lock and promptly discussing how to open it.

Six boys looked at each other either in boredom or nervousness, whilst one–Minwoo, namely–enjoyed his time fluttering around as a hummingbird, too magical to sit with these average humans.

"Hyun, come over here." Lucien beckoned, Jihyun questioningly walking towards the boy.

"Listen, I have a plan, do you think you can do this?" Lucien asked, then leaning in to whisper something to Jihyun.

"Do you see how cool this manor is? I think it had to have been built at least 90 years ago! I can see the old fashioned style of stonework aHH–" Danjong fanboyed at some sort of thing that no one really knew how to respond to.

"Maybe we should just, I don't know, pick the lock?" Koushi stated, his expression suggesting that he imagined no one had been logical enough to try that. "None of us can." Siwa informed from where he was standing, watching Lucien and Jihyun talk and commenting every once and awhile.

"It's too late for this shit, I'm dead." Haru complained, tiredly laughing at his own misery. "Not as dead as your memes, Haru." Kyungjin spoke, sitting and petting a Siamese cat that was actually Minwoo (he's having too much fun with this). The group turned towards the usually silent boy, surprise evident in their expressions.

"Guys, hide behind that hedge over there. Now." Lucien commanded the nonchalant group, gesturing to a nearby bush. A few obliged, the others giving him questioning looks. "Come on, just do it." Siwa said, walking over to them and shoving them behind it, also hiding himself.

"What about Jihyun and Lucien?" Danjong asked. "They're getting us in. Just wait." Siwa replied, mentally noting that Minwoo was a quite adorable cat. Siwa noticed Haru attempting to peel around the bush, and quickly pulled him back. "Just trust them." he spoke.

"They know what they're doing."

«—»

"You ready?" Lucien asked Jihyun, noting his nervous expression. "No. But yes." he replied. "Same." Lucien sighed, turning towards the small panel where one would enter in a four digit code to unlock the gate.

"Here goes nothing." he said, typing in a random code. The code was, obviously, wrong. And with this, an alarm went off, notifying a guard as to their presence.

Jihyun and Lucien stared at the gate, completely casual about the alarms going off. Almost instantly they heard a pair of footsteps on grass, rushing towards the gate.

"Hey! Who are you two?! What business do you have here?" an angry middle aged man wearing a security guard outfit came into view, pulling out what the pair assumed to be a gun. "Jihyun, you can do this." Lucien whispered as the man opened the gate to reach them.

The man pointed the gun at the two, taking a step forward. "I'll ask again, what d-" his expression went blank as he found a hand pointing towards his head. Jihyun flicked his wrist to the side, and as if on cue the man collapsed to the ground, gun falling out of his grip as he lay unconscious.

Lucien held back a quiet squeal, praising Jihyun and congratulating him. "You guys can come back now!" an overly excited Lucien called out, hugging Jihyun too tightly for anyone's comfort, although Jihyun himself was probably too overwhelmed to notice.

"Did you guys kill him?" Baumé asked, walking over to the fallen security guard and promptly taking his gun. "No, he's just unconscious." Siwa stated, kneeling down and examining the man. He looked up and locked eyes with Jihyun, mouthing a "thank you."

"So we can go in now?" Danjong said, still too excited for the others to understand, not to mention everyone was crowding around Jihyun.

"Yeah, let's g- hEY DANJONG COME BACK HERE"

«—»

The group walked through the grassy front area, lit by only the moon and seemingly almost peaceful. Making their way around back of the house, they found their place of entrance– a window on the second floor.

"How are we supposed to get up there?" Haru asked, eyeing the leaders. "Well..." Siwa trailed off. "Minwoo, you can turn into objects right?" Lucien asked, Minwoo shrugging in response. "Could you be a ladde-" "Hell no." The argument was resolved just as quickly as it started.

Lucien gave Siwa a look, Siwa nodding in reply.

"Ohmygod what is that?!?" Lucien looked away from the window, his eyes up to the stars. The whole group turned to see what he had been so shocked about. "What? What the hell is it?" Baumé asked, not seeing whatever it was.

"Never mind, I was wrong. It's nothing." Lucien smiled sheepishly, the other boys groaning and turning back to the problem at hand.

"Why don't we... hey when did those get there?" Jihyun spoke, pointing to a mass of tangled vines leading from the ground to the window in question. "They seem climbable." Koushi stated, walking over and testing one of the vines.

"How convenient. Guess we can just climb these." Lucien said, grabbing on to one of the vines and making his way upwards. "Well then come on guys." Siwa said, following Lucien.

"Were those really there a second ago?" Danjong asked. "Hell no." Baumé replied, grabbing on to one of the vines and going up next. "Suspicious." Kyungjin commented, looking up at the leaders who were almost at the window.

The group made their way up and into the window, finding themselves in a dark room. Siwa demanded that everyone be completely silent, and as soon as their eyes adjusted to the dark they all understood why.

A small little girl lay sleeping under the fluffy covers of her bed, a few feet away. Clutching a teddy bear and her head adorned with two small buns, a few of the boys had to resist the urge to smile. "She's dreaming about bunnies." Jihyun whispered in awe, loving what he could see now that he had finally gained control of his power.

They made their way across her room, silently opening her door and exiting into the hallway. After closing the door behind them, Siwa turned to face the group. Expecting him to say they did a good job sneaking in here, or possibly explaining the vine endeavor, many were shocked at the words that came out.

"If we don't stop it, that little girl will die in less than an hour." he spoke, Lucien pulling his phone out for some reason and taking a photo of the group. "What? Why?" Danjong asked, looking at her closed bedroom door.

"Her mother is threatening to divorce her father. However, the father doesn't want to give up any of his wealth to her. So, he feels the best way to maintain his status is... to eliminate his wife and child." Lucien explained, putting his phone back in his pocket.

"Our Intentist– he's a man who can feel malicious intent within others– ran into him at a nightclub and freaked out upon seeing what he planned." Siwa stated. "Sounds like a panic at the disco." Kyungjin muttered, Lucien holding back a startled cough. The others all stared in disbelief, Jihyun pretending to gag and Minwoo turning into an anaconda in shock.

"All of you are so dramatic." Siwa sighed, gesturing for them to follow him downstairs.

The group hid in the living room, waiting for the man to come home. They had made sure all the windows and doors were locked, the wife and the daughter were in bed, and the gates were locked once more. Now all that was left was...

The lock clicked, the large wooden front door slowly creaking open. The boys, hiding in the far corners and shadows of the room– except Minwoo, who was really showing off at this point as he sat on a table as an inconspicuous pen– observed the man take off his jacket, set down his briefcase, and go through all too normal actions.

He sighed, glancing at the staircase that led to the second floor, and his eyes landed on his daughter's room. The group tensed, waiting to pounce as soon as he showed the first sign of aggression.

He reached down to his pocket, seemingly about to pull something out.

Instead, a sudden high pitched scream rang through the house, the voice belonging obviously to his wife. A crooked smirk appeared on his face as a crashing noise was heard.

"We need to go see what that was. Jihyun, do your thing!" Siwa whispered to Jihyun, who was a few feet away.

Jihyun jumped out from his spot quickly, the man becoming visibly shocked.

"Who ar-" it was too late for questions as he fell to the floor, sleeping peacefully. "Minwoo! Go find the wife!" Lucien commanded, gesturing for the others to come out of their hiding places. Without a response, the pen on the table morphed into a falcon, rising and flying off at top speed, ignoring the stairs, towards the main bedroom.

The others ran upstairs quickly, following the path. They arrived at the main bedroom, where the wife had previously been quietly resting, and laid eyes on a scene they hadn't wanted to witness.

She lay on the floor, knife sticking directly out of her abdomen alongside a scattering of other wounds. A man dressed in all black knelt over her, pulling the knife out and wiping it clean on his jeans.

He looked over at the sound of the group arriving, and stared at them with hostility. Lucien pulled out his phone, holding it up to the man. "Lucien what the hell?! Put that away!" Baumé said, really done with their leader. He didn't respond, instead covering his mouth in shock and immediately putting the phone down.

The man dashed towards the door shoving the group out of his way. Almost as if he had predicted it, Lucien threw his phone at Siwa, who caught it, and disappeared from sight, chasing after him. "Of course he'd hire someone else to do it." Danjong stated, reliving some memory he probably didn't want to remember.

"Kyung–" Siwa was cut off as the boy he was about to call knelt down next to the woman. "Are you able to use your powers yet?" Siwa asked, concerned for him. "Now or never." he replied, placing his hand on the woman's torso, covering most of the stab wounds.

About fifteen seconds passed, feeling like an eternity as everyone held their breath. Kyungjin looked down, seeing no progress, and took his hands off of her.

"Just heal, god fucking dammit!" he blurted out, grabbing the woman's hand.

And just like that, the wounds began to close as a soft white glow encircled her torso. The blood staining her shirt receded, and the small group gasped as her eyes snapped open in shock.

"What the..." she trailed off as her eyes landed on Kyungjin, who backed away immediately. She sat up and laid her eyes on the group of boys. They waited for her to freak out, to scream or hit one of them.

"Thank you." she instead said. The group was visibly shocked.

"I don't know how, but I'm alive... and I'm assuming it's because of you all." she said. A couple of the boys smiled at her thanks, and soon enough a bit of chatting started as they tried to make an excuse for them being there conveniently at the right time. About fifteen minutes passed, and everyone finally started to calm down.

However, the peace was interrupted by Siwa letting out a startled gasp. "Siwa? You okay?" Koushi questioned, looking at him weirdly. "Jihyun, Kyungjin, Minwoo, come with me." he blurted out, 100% less calm than he normally was. In fact, the amount of panic he showed at that moment was enough to make everyone question what was happening as he ran out of the room.

"Probably needs to take a shit or something" Baumé commented, because who else would say this, honestly?

«—»

Lucien held his breath as the killer brought his knife to his cheek, leaving a stinging line in its wake which trickled blood.

"I swear to god..." Siwa muttered, trying to appear mad but really just seeming scared. The three who were with him simply ran alongside him, following wherever Siwa was headed.

The little girl cried, sitting in the closet in which Lucien had hidden her. "You think that's painful, sweetheart? How cute, considering what I've already done." the man taunted, poking Lucien in the side.

The four rounded the corner past the stairs, still questioning Siwa's expression. Siwa pulled out a pocket knife, getting it ready as he set his gaze on the little girl's open bedroom door.

Lucien held back a shriek as the man poked him, gazing down at the blood staining his shirt from the knife the man had previously plunged into his side.

Siwa stopped a few feet away from the door, gesturing for Minwoo, Kyungjin, and Jihyun to stay quiet.

The man smiled eerily at his victim's discomfort. Pinning Lucien to the wall and rendering him unable to move, he readied his blade for what he had planned. Lucien didn't make a sound. He couldn't show he was scared. He just had to do whatever it took to keep the little girl alive.

"Alright, we go in ten seconds." Siwa stated, listening through the wall. Minwoo took the opportunity to transform into a venomous snake, just in case it was needed. "Ten, nine, eight..." Jihyun started.

The assassin held up his blade, and held it against Lucien's neck. Still, Lucien didn't want to give in to emotions just yet. The man pressed the blade harder, and suddenly that resolution to stay calm was broken.

"SIWA!" Lucien shrieked, really just not wanting to die at this point.

"SCREW THE COUNT" Jihyun blurted as the four rushed in, the first being Siwa, who forcefully drove his knife into the attacker's chest. The man fell in surprise, seemingly unable to breathe. Most likely Siwa had torn his lung. Jihyun willed the man to sleep, as Kyungjin silently healed the stab wound he noticed on Lucien's side. Minwoo turned into a sparrow and quickly flew outside, checking to make sure there were no more threats present.

Lucien ran over to Siwa and hugged him tightly, terrified. "I love you, I love you, I love you." he repeated, Siwa laughing as he hugged back.

"My side hurts, thanks for getting stabbed dimwit." Siwa replied, patting Lucien's head as he buried his face in Siwa's shirt. "Says the guy who didn't get stabbed." Lucien replied. "Well I felt it too, y'know, I nearly had a heart attack." Siwa teased.

"You felt him being stabbed?" Kyungjin asked, curious. "Yeah. I don't think we told you, but we have an enchantment placed on us, where if one of us gets hurt the other feels their wound." Siwa explained, Lucien still not willing to let go of him.

"What happened in here?!" Haru asked, walking into the room, turning the light on, and seeing the leaders being fluffy and the stabbed guy next to them on the floor. What a contrast.

"Lots of things happened." Minwoo, human again, sighed as Koushi stepped into the room and almost had a stroke at the sight.

"They're being gay again." Baumé sighed as he looked at the two leaders.

Their attention turned to the noise of the closet door opening. The little girl stepped out, obviously done crying, and now just worried.

"Is the bad man gone?" she asked. Lucien, hearing her voice, immediately jumped off of Siwa and knelt down to be face to face with the little girl.

"Yes he is, Shinbi. It's okay." he said, patting the little girl's head.

"How does he know her name?" Minwoo asked. "There's a giant-ass sign." Haru whispered back, pointing at a large sign that said "Shinbi" in large sparkly letters.

The boys stayed silent as Lucien comforted the little girl.

"You... who are you all and why–" a deep voice at the doorway caused all the boys to turn around. Laying eyes on the father of the house, their expressions grew blank as they realized he was looking at his young daughter, shocked to see her alive.

"Daddy!" Shinbi yelled, reaching towards him. Lucien immediately pulled her back, keeping her away from the man.

"What are you doing with my daughter? Leave her alone." he demanded, acting as if he didn't look disappointed when he saw the body on the floor.

Before he could continue, his knees gave out and he fell face first on the floor. Everyone turned to Jihyun, who had an accomplished smile on his face.

The sound of sirens approaching in the near distance grabbed everyone's attention. The group ignored them, until a sound they hadn't thought they'd hear came.

"This is the police! Open up! We have a search warrant!" banging at the door came with the voices. "The police?!" Baumé groaned, not wanting to deal with this.

"Go find your mommy, Shinbi. I have to go." Lucien hugged her, and sent her off, confused but nonetheless unharmed.

The group made their way quickly out the window the way they had come in, and slipped past the policemen in the front. After a few minutes of the leaders explaining how the police had apparently been called in advance, the boys settled down and just reflected on what had happened.

"So... fun night, huh?" Siwa asked, looking out the window of the bus that the boys were riding to they would be picked up and taken back to the society's building.

"Yes. Murder is fun. Very." Baumé stated so seriously that no one was sure he was being sarcastic. "Well, Jihyun and Kyungjin can use their powers now." Lucien stated, pulling out his phone as someone called him.

"I wonder what my powers are." Koushi said quietly, looking at his shoulder that a sleeping Danjong rest his head on. "Probably something really cool, I don't know. Maybe you can breathe fire." Haru joked. "We already have a fire breather." Siwa spoke, the others taking a second to realize it wasn't a joke.

"TAETAE WHERE THE HELL A–" "DON'T CALL ME THAT AND I'M BUSY BYE–" everyone turned to the scene of Lucien abruptly hanging up the phone call. "Tae–" "Stop right there son." Lucien glared at Baumé, who put his hands up in mock surrender.

The bus came to its stop, Koushi shaking Danjong awake as the group filed off the bus, gathering on the sidewalk. "What time is it?" Danjong asked, yawning.

"About 1:00 AM, probably." Siwa replied. "Oh, well it's not too late." someone in the crowd said. "Yeah..." someone agreed.

"Who's ready to wake up at 7:00 AM?" Siwa said, the others freezing at his words.

"You're kidding."

"Nope."
