I yawned widely, looking around, Vanessa was still asleep in my bed, I unfurled my wings and stretched.

I changed back human, and shook Vanessa's shoulder, 'no, I'm sleeping,' she muttered, pushing me away.

'Suit yourself,' I said, and retreated a safe distance.

Five minutes later, an entire squad of terrible terrors flew in through the sunroof and attacked Vanessa, she screamed, and instantly shot out of bed, her flailing hands successfully nocking out a terror for about three seconds.

The flock flew out again, having successfully woken their victim, and went in search of others.

'What was that?' Vanessa asked me.

'The seven 'o clock flock,' I smiled, 'wake every dragon on Berk, for fun.'

'Oh man.' Vanessa rubbed her eyes, 'I'm bringing an alarm clock next time,'

I laughed, but those two words had serious impact, next time.

I let her get dressed while I found some bacon and eggs in my ice box, and cooked them over a flame I blew.

I served them to Vanessa with a proud flourish at my handiwork, and then in secret found a small salmon which I swallowed whole.

At somewhat eight to nine in the morning judging by the sun, we left, I flew her over the ocean to dragon island and showed her the passage.

When we got to the end, I stopped her, 'maybe I should go first,' I told her, 'you stay here till I call,'

I stepped out and found Thunder, Flame, Flight, Snag and Shade all sitting in a lava pool, laughing.

Thunder spotted me first, 'hey! Its the Scholar!'

Everyone crowded around me.

'So Scorch... I hear you brought you're girlfriend to Berk,' Snag called out.

'She's not my girlfriend you guys!' I said indignantly.

'Ooh! You only deny it if you're guilty!' Thunder called.

'Is she cute?' Flame asked.

'Flame! I'm not putting up with youre useless pickup lines, I've seen you practice in the mirror.' Flight punched him.

I sighed, 'hey, Vanessa!' I called.

Vanessa shyly peeked around the stone wall and stepped out.

'Hi.' She whispered.

An uproar called out after she spoke.

'Guys! Guys!' I calmed them down and introduced them, 'Vanessa; Thunder, Snag, Shade, and the twins. Thunder, Snag, Shade and twins; Vanessa,' I said.

They all crowded around her, your think they'd never seen a human before.

But soon enough everyone calmed down and started spreading out, I sat with Vanessa, 'what d'you think?' I asked her. 'They're... Lively.' She said, giving me an awkward smile.

'Hey, wanna see something cool?' I asked her glancing at the lava.

'Erm... OK.' He said.

'Look out below!' I called, running and diving into the Lava.

I heard her screaming, I lifted my head above the lava, it slopped down my head, clinging to my hair like mud.

'Scorch!' She screamed.

'Ha!' I did a lazy float, kicking my feet gently.

'Get out.' She said, annoyed that I'd tricked her.

I grinned at her and dived back down.

I was pulled up in the claws of a Timberjack, 'Oi!' I said, Thunder dropped me on the stone floor and I changed, shaking off the lava like a wet dog and then back human.

'We got a surprise for you!' Thunder ruffled my hair. 'Uh huh...' I stared at him suspiciously, last time I got a 'surprise' I got a basket of Gronkle poop over my head by the twins.

'We're going to school!' Thunder laughed. I froze. 'What?' I asked him.

'Yea, we even have the names sorted!' Flight looked enthusiastic, 'I'm Fiona, he's Fred, Thunder's Theus, Snag's Scott and Shade's Sheela.'

'But... Wha-?' I was speechless, Snag walked next to me and looked at me with a grin, 'we'll just pretend you looked happy and said 'great!''

I shook my head and smirked at them, 'think you guys can handle the most deadliest torture man could create? And avoid the Dragon nip at the same time?' I smiled.

'Dragon nip?' Shade looked discouraged. 'Oh.'

'Where?' Thunder asked.

'Down by the field at the end.'

It sorta escalated from there, with he conversation staying at school for ages, then to Vanessa, then Girlfriends, then my girlfriend. And the I decided it was time to go.

'Come on,' I told Vanessa, 'if I fly with a passenger it'll take me two hours at the most to reach you're house.'

Vanessa sighed and said bye, I left gladly and was about to take off back to Berk to pack when Vanessa said; are those guys right? Do you like me?'

I tripped and almost landed in the ocean, clumsily regaining my posture.

'No! Well, yes... But... I don't know.' I said, thankful she could only hear growls, why did she have to ask such a straightforward question?
