I woke up slightly disorientated, as always when I slept upside down. I hung with my wings wrapped around me, my tail wrapped around a thick Oak branch.

I silently dropped to the ground and stretched, a low purr echoing in my throat. I shook my head to get rid of the dizzyness and made my way through the undergrowth, not even bothering to change into a human.

I found a lake nearby, sniffing the air for any human scent. I found nothing, then I rose up, my wings beating heavily, making huge ripples in the water, I splashed with my tail, making as much commotion as I could, driving all the fish to the other side, then for good measure, I shot three plasma blasts into the water, one either side of me and the third in front.

The water bubbled and boiled for a few seconds, then went calm.

Now switching to silent mode, I flew to the other side other the lake where all the fish had been chased to,

I readied myself and dived, swimming through the wanted and sending all the fish into a flurry, when I rose again on the other side of the lake where I started, several fish in my mouth, which I swallowed hole.

Yea yea, I'm a dragon, deal with it.

I changed and went back to my camp, which simply consisted if a spot of burned away bushes where I'd left my canvas and fire stick.

I felt a prickling on the back of my neck, twisting around, I heard a snap.

I sniffed the air for scents, there was a dragon smell here, female Hobblegrunt, typical.

'Come out, fellow dragon,' I growled, literally, the sound emitting from my throat clearly wasn't human.

The hobblegrunt appeared, her skin color changing to a confused orange. 'Your smell... It is different, are you a new dragon?' She asked, 'I think I'm more of an old dragon,' I replied, changing into my night fury form. The dragon gasped, 'night fury?' I nodded, changing back.

The hobblegrunt's skin turned blue with yellow dots, and she changed into a girl, about three years older than me, 'well, I haven't ever seen a night fury before, but you are in my territory, leave now, or I'll use force.'

I growled slightly, 'fine,'

And with that I picked up my fire sticks and changed, the pack wrapped around my scaly neck, I lifted off the ground and flew off.

I did consider blasting a tree on my way out, but decided not to, it would only cause trouble.

Typical, several forests, valleys, cliffs and mountains and I pick the territory of a Hobblegrunt.

Alright, time to go home.

I flew for about three hours, to the far side of Norway, to an island that hadn't been inhabited by humans since the old times,

Berk.

I flew down to the landing port, folding my wings and changing back into a human.

I walked into the village, Berkians smiling and waving as I walked by.

Oh yea, every single one of them were dragons.

Over the years we Berkians had been "rescuing" Dragons around the world and bringing them back to Berk. We tried to bring all dragons here so that our secret would stay on Berk and Berk only.

Berk was possibly one of the most well protected secrets ever, we had guard dragons, who protected our island from exploration boats, ships and planes. we had Hunting dragons which bring us our food, and builders, they build our homes and monuments, landing bays and feeding stations, and many others I could name, like the mages, the bakers, the Hatchers, the messengers, and many others.

I walked along the village, enjoying its familiarity, I'd lived here all my life.

Yes, I traveled around the world, doing my fire breathing, but it was at most a hobby, I didn't wish to gain money for it.

I reached my home, everything on Berk was built in the classical Viking style, so my house was a very large example of that.

A model of a night fury head was placed on the roof, not a very flattering image, but it did good.

I collapsed on a yak skin arm chair in front of the fire, shot a small plasma blast to light it, and relaxed.

'Scorch!' A voice screamed in my ear, I jumped up and flew out of bed. Finding a brown and green terrible terror on my bed, grinning from ear to ear.

'Snag, if you weren't fireproof I'd burn you to a crisp.' I muttered, annoyed.

'You'd never do it anyway,' Snag chuckled, 'so, hows the great fire breather, how many cities have you amazed with your "mysterious" talents?'

'Only four,' I said, 'four!' Exclaimed Snag, changing into a short, waif-like boy with messy brown hair and dark brown eyes that glittered with mischief, a murky green scale imbedded on the side of his neck. 'you disappear for seven months just for four Cities!'

'I was looking for dragons too,' I said,

'Did you find one?'

'A monstrous nightmare and a Hobblegrunt, neither were friendly,' I sighed.

'Oh, well, I went fishing, caught them all myself, you can come over to my place for dinner if you want,' Snag chuckled.

'Sure, race you there,' I said, changing into the black night fury I was and flying through the inbuilt windowless skylight that every house had.

I let Snag go ahead of me, so he thought he'd win, then shot passed him, and reached his small house in the centre of town, changed, and waited for him to arrive.

'Hey! No fair! You're way bigger than me! And your a night fury!' Snag hissed.

'Yea yea, didn't you say you'd give me your biggest fish if I won?' I teased him.

'What? No!' He said.

'No, I'm sure you said you would be betting that.' I said, smirking.

'NO!'
