"I'll be back tomorrow, okay" Sakura stated.
Sasuke nodded his head as he pecked Sakura on the cheek, watching her walk out of the door. She was going to a meeting in another state, and would be flying there, thus leaving him alone.
After his 23rd birthday he asked Sakura out seeing as he would need to be with someone at least, and 2 years later they were considering a child of their own. Deep down, Sasuke didn't want that at all, not even the slightest bit.
He still wanted the love of his life: Naruto Uzumaki.
The raven turned around, walking up the stairs to his room. It was nighttime, and during the night he always kept the window. It was like a habit to keep the window open, just in case Naruto ever returned.
It may have been wishful thinking, but it was a possibility. Besides, he never left the house he had lived in when Naruto and he had that stupid argument.
"It's been such a long time, Naruto" He whispered as he opened the window.
The sky was shining bright, brighter than ever, the wind was howling, and the moon seemed gigantic in the sky.
Sasuke leaned against the window, his eyes closed as he remembered the many nights he spent with Naruto.
Whenever Sakura would ask why he left the window open, or even stood by it at night, he always answered with the fact he loved the sky; it calmed him. In a way, it did, but he stared at it because it helped him remember the blond.
He could hear a small thud hitting the outside of the window, most likely a bird or an animal.
"It's been a while, hasn't it, teme?" A voice asked from beside him.
Sasuke's eyes widened, his heart beating faster than ever. He turned his head, looking at the blond face he missed so much with the beautiful blue eyes. So many emotions hit him at once that he couldn't speak in fear he would yell at the blond.
"It's been a long time, dobe" He finally managed.
The blond smiled at him. Sasuke couldn't help himself as walked over to him, pulling Naruto in, holding him in an embrace. He wouldn't let him go, no matter what. He wouldn't lose him again, ever, not while there was life in his body.
"Where have you been? Do you know how much pain I was in? I missed you so much Naruto, I really did. It hurt me when you never came back Why did you leave me, Naruto?" Sasuke asked as hot tears stung his face.
The blond chuckled at the raven as he pushed away from him as the raven was practically squeezing him to death.
"I thought about what you said that night, about college. I enrolled, and I had so many classes that I couldn't see you, but I found a way to see you at night, never for long. After that my parents made me learn the family business, and never let me out of the house" Naruto explained.
Sasuke stared at Naruto, seeing just how much the blonde had changed.
His hair was no longer sticking out in spikes, now cut a bit shorter, giving him a more mature look. His blue eyes lost that child-likeness, although, he was certain that they had turned a lighter blue. Even the way he carried himself was different then before, but yet the same, as if nothing changed.
After all those years, those nights spent thinking of Naruto, regretting his mistake of never expressing how he felt, flooded his mind. He couldn't go through that again, not now, not ever, so he got onto one knee, holding onto Naruto's hand as if his life depended on it.
"Naruto, will you be mine?" Sasuke asked.
Naruto smiled, pulling Sasuke up from the ground, blue eyes gleaming from the moonlit room.
"Yes"
The End
