For this assignment I had to pick out a few colors and use them as inspiration to write a poem.

Stormy clouds cover the night

Global waters swirl below

My eyes see red

But only in my mind

Without the pacific turquoise of the day

The Storm of Night grows stronger still

The Red I see guides me forwards

Towards the unmistakeable hate I feel

When the rains fall

And the lightning dances through the sky

I will know that the time is right

A perfect murder in a perfect storm

The dagger I wield as sharp as my wit

The point strikes true

My vision of red turns real

Blood flows straight from the heart

The body, I throw

Into billowing waves below

The satisfaction I feel

Only lasts a while

Soon it will be time

To murder again
