Edward reveals he was born in 1901. Nine. Teen. Oh. One. This book was published/set in 2005. In 1918, orphaned from and dying of influenza cause there weren't no Tamiflu back then, one of his adopted family members "saved" him out of loneliness, a process Edward says was very painful. It's all confusing but I think he means he was bitten and turned into a vampire?

We learn about Edward's family and it strikes me that they are the only interesting part about this book so far.

Then it's ruined by Bella describing her "hopeless addiction" to Edward and calling him a "godlike creature."

She finds out Edward has been spying on her, and is too "flattered" to be mad.

He comes in and stares at her while she eats lasagna and then her dad comes home so Edward hides. 

They go to Bella's room. He says she smells mouthwatering and then sings her to sleep. I'm bored.
