11. Here Come Da Judge

I'm sorry but what in the heck is this chapter title.

Jesus has told Mack to walk into a cave or something that's carved into a mountain. Mack obliges. Is he going to speak to Brim? Wait, wrong story.

Once inside the mountain cave, Mack is overcome with sadness, but he keeps walking. He comes into the heart of the mountain and sees a Hispanic woman. Oookay.

They very abruptly start talking together about Mack's children. The woman has an omniscient God-like quality. Perhaps the trinity has become a foursome.

They keep going and I see where this is headed. Mack loves all his children equally. So does God. Therefore, it hurts God when one of his children hates another. He wants Mack to forgive the serial killer. So the serial killer is a child of God?

Then the lady, and I still have NO CLUE who she is, gives Mack a vision of Missy. Missy tells him that she's okay and loves him. It's not overdone or too dramatic. It's the closest thing to a moving moment I have experienced in this book so far.
