What I read in January 2022
What you see pictured here is book #1 in my Goodreads challenge. I have absolutely no idea what it is. I also discovered the cheapest way to acquire it through any means was $12 (and it was an ebook). I refused to pay $12 for an ebook so it was omitted from the challenge.
So now onto what I actually read in January.
1.
I wanted to know more about this event so I got this book from Libby and read it in 29 minutes. The event turned out to be underwhelming but none of my family believed me when I told them what happened.
2.
I got this out of a Little Free Library and actually started reading it over Christmas but it took awhile. I'll let my review speak for itself.
#3
This was the first book of my Goodreads challenge. It was the lowest-rated and the plot was stunning, I couldn't stop reading it. I borrowed it from Libby.
4.
I got in the mood for a particular kind of book and managed to find it on Libby. This book was a perfect romp in the woods and I loved it.
#5
This was the second book of the Goodreads challenge and I honestly didn't love it. It reminded me of my assigned reading in community college.
#6
I enjoyed this book but it wasn't my favorite ever. The books of hers that I think are absolute genius are the funny ones (Flora & Ulysses) and the ones that meant a lot to me as a small child (The Tale of Despereaux). So my opinion of Beatryce might be much different if this was 16 years ago.
BONUS:
I accidentally hate-read 3/4 of this book in one evening on my Kindle. As I skipped some parts, it doesn't count.
I've now been reading Atlas Obscura, an absolute beast of a book, for the past week so that will have to wait till next month.
