Chapter 56: Sunlight and Moonlight

It's not just Tobias's water that I noticed when it covered the whole blue tulip like a bubble, but also the sudden music outside. As if the pixies chose not to dance but played with several musical instruments. I could hear flute, violin, wooden drum, maracas, tambourine, and other unnamed instruments that I'd seen inside Deltora's castle.

Seeing Tobias's green eyes, accompanied by the soft music outside, the sound of the moving water, and our heavy breathing—I couldn't help but ask to further lose not just with his eyes but with his touch . . . those lips.

I knew what would happen between us once we had our time together. Alam kong hindi lang ako ang higit na naghihintay ng mga oras na ito. Alam kong hindi lang ako ang higit na humihiling na matapos na ang malaking pagdiriwang na ito sa Deltora.

Maybe Tobias started it with a tease as he walked into this garden, looking dashingly ravishing, or perhaps I was right all along that this was his way of punishing me for the pain I had inflicted. The king knew how attracted I was to him, how he had more self-control than I did, how my thoughts raced with visions of his neck and the taste of his blood, how I bit my lips when he whispered, and how I wanted to leave marks all over his body.

He knew that I could drain him with my uncontrollable need for him.

As someone who had lost her memory, it's hard to admit to anyone, even to my mate, that while most of our adventures remain vague, I can clearly remember how we shared our bodies, blood, and soul as clearly as his green eyes. The way the warmth of the water enveloped our bodies, the familiar sight of the ceiling with his hair curtained around his face as he towered over me, the screeching sound of my claw marks, my cheeks pressed against the misted mirror from my parted lips, and the way our eyes glowed together with his whispers, telling me that I had always been destined to be on this side of the mirror—with him.

I might have been confused by his sudden appearance in this garden, or perhaps a little bit uncomfortable with the idea that he might discover how I wanted to participate in the Water Festival without asking him. Right now, I knew that it wasn't more important.

With my elbows pressing on the table, his hand on my cheek, and at the back of my neck, his fangs and glowing red eyes, I knew right at that moment that I'd die if I stopped myself from savoring the feeling of his touch.

"You better make me happy right now, Love, or else I'll kill all the pixies in this kingdom."

It was a threat as I could see how irritated he was with those visible veins in his temples and his hands almost trembling by merely touching my cheek and neck. Those words could be a threat to someone else's ears but for me, it wasn't even a request, but a gift that he should have claimed a long time ago.

I pressed my forehead to his, closed my eyes, and nodded.

"Allow me to make you happy, My King," I whispered.

Instead of letting Tobias push me further, I slowly lifted my right thigh, purposely caressing his. I saw how he tried to be unshaken with the light brush on my thigh, but I noticed how he squinted his eyes a little as if he could literally suppress his reaction.

I clung my left arm around his nape and brushed my lips on his ear. "C-can you sit just like on your throne, Tobias?"

He didn't reply but nodded. I wrapped my legs around his waist with one of his arms wrapping around my body. When we reached the chair that almost fell off the ground and stopped with the water tentacles supporting it, Tobias's arms were no longer holding me but settling on the chair's armrest.

With both of us almost half naked, Tobias's poorly loosed knot, and my laces undone, I slowly distanced myself from him. The space was agonizing between us as I witnessed the heavy rising and falling of our chests, but he had been pleasing me the moment I arrived in this world— I knew that it had always been the queen who could give him this satisfaction.

And I am happy to give this to him.

Unlike his usual position, with all his elegance, his legs crossed and hands casually resting across his lap, this time, Tobias was helplessly leaning his back on his chair. He was half-naked, with a completely loose knot on his linen robe, legs partly parted, and arms tightly holding onto the armrest as if he were trying to calm himself.

I took a deep breath as my hands moved to the undone and tangled laces of my fairy dress. I started with the corset and the ribbons on my chest. At that moment, I felt like my eyes could see visions—the movement of slender bodies in glowing light. Before I knew it, my hands were already moving; every brush of my fingertips over every part of my dress felt like magic—as if I had gained the ability, with this feathery touch, to make all the cloth on my body disappear.

The way I turned my head to the right side—as if there was a flick, glitters leaving traces from every tip of my hair, nails, and even eyelashes. Until I finally got rid of my fairy dress, letting it fall to the ground with a thud, showing my complete nakedness in front of the king.

Before I took another step, I unknowingly looked up and watched the shadows of the moving water globe around the blue tulip—giving us the filtered sunlight from the garden through the water until it reached the inside of this flower.

I took a deep breath and slowly closed my eyes, with the dim light filtering through the shelter of water and the small space between the giant petals, I allowed myself to stand there for a moment—enjoying the luxury of sunlight on my naked body.

"It's so warm . . ." I whispered to myself.

I was just interrupted when I heard a noise from the wooden chair, and when I opened my eyes Tobias was no longer looking at me. It was like he didn't have a choice but to stop watching me, now with his attention on his own power—above.

His throat moved, and his right hand found his forehead before he got up and ran his fingers through his tousled long hair. "You are so beautiful, Kezalli. Come now, make me happy . . ."

Tobias held out one of his hands, and my bare feet trailed the small distance between us. But just as our fingertips were about to touch, I slowly got down on my knees.

"Kezalli . . ."

He was about to touch my shoulders, but when I raised one of my palms, circular green lights appeared, binding his legs and arms to the chair, Tobias gasped, cursed, and trembled at my touch. Both of my hands slowly caressed his thighs, completely removing his white linen robe. He groaned and leaned his nape against the backrest of his chair.

I almost choked at the sight of it—thinking about how it could fit inside my mouth. As I reached it, I slowly moved my hand, giving him pleasure. I pushed myself closer; Tobias's chest heaved rapidly. He called my name, his love, groaned, cursed—his sounds of pleasure were music, causing my heart to race.

Just as I opened my mouth, ready to give him more, I heard his voice inside my mind. "Love, at least allow me to grab your hair."

He was already looking down at me with that lukewarm expression. I could see the sweat on his forehead and neck, his chest still heaving, his eyes as red as blood, and his bared fangs. My hand still encircled him, mouth half-open, and lips an inch away from it.

When I agreed, the green light disappeared from around his wrists, and one of Tobias's hands quickly moved to grab my hair. I was about to continue, expecting him to push my head, but Tobias bent down. He tilted my head up,  his head inclined, and his hand still gripping my bushy hair, while his other hand grasped my other hand, guiding me to keep moving. The king then gave me a deep, punishing, dominating kiss as if he'd burn and tear my lips. "You silly human girl. You don't tie your king."

When our lips parted and he wanted to kiss more, I distanced myself a bit.

"Should you tie the queen instead?" I asked, gasping for air.

Natigil si Tobias, ngunit nanatiling mariing nakasabunot ang kamay niya sa buhok ko habang itinitingala niya iyon sa kanya. I pulled my other hand that pleasured him, and I slowly licked it in front of him.

"Y-you—"

I arched my brows. "I should make you happy, right, Your Majesty?"

Hindi na sumagot si Tobias, muling may lumabas na tubig sa paligid na tila lubid, sa isang iglap ay nahila nito ang kama para higit na lumapit sa amin.

In a moment, I was no longer kneeling because Tobias was carrying me in a bridal position. He quickly threw me on the bed and followed me on his knees. He parted my legs with him kneeling in between. Tobias imitated how I held my palm—just like how I summoned my green light—but this time, he used his water to melt the roof cover of the bed, giving us the filtered lights from the garden, passing through his water bubble to the blue tulip's small space until it reached my lying body.

The dim light from the small space of the petal illuminated Tobias's naked frame—giving me the luxury of dreamily watching him. I always knew that he was handsome, but I never thought that he'd be more majestic in nakedness—like a perfectly sculptured god in museums, touched by the hands of an artist with years of experience.

Every detail, every edge, and every movement of his was so intoxicating that all I wanted to do was obey, offer, and melt.

"Lift your right leg, love . . ."

I obeyed.

He reached for my right leg, and he allowed the passing reflection of the water to slowly crawl on it. I covered my mouth with my left arm as he trailed the shadow with his tongue.

As the shadow of the moving water moved from my legs to my thigh, Tobias followed it with kisses and licks, with one of his eyes closed and the other trying to watch my reaction. Everything felt so feathery and teasing as if he was just waiting for me to ask—beg

When he finished his trail on my right leg, he satisfied my left leg and before I knew it, his lips were kissing the sides of my thighs, getting closer.

Hindi na sa bibig nakatakip ang mga braso ko kundi sa aking mga mata habang dama ang bawat paglapit niya. "Why did you stop me? I knew that you liked it. It's fine for me to give you pleasure— I love you and I wanted to give—"

But he cut me off with a kiss on my lips. It wasn't as harsh as his first kiss, but instead, it was slow and gentle, as if soothing me. Now he was towering over me again, with the familiar curtained hair that covered us.

Our lips parted, and his thumb lightly caressed my lips. "This is only for my lips."

And then he kissed my forehead.

All he did was follow the shadows on my body and kiss every untouched skin. All I could remember was how I arched my body to meet his lips, how my head turned, how my legs curled with my moans, how my hands found his hair as my legs trembled in delight, and how I called his name countless times.

"Isn't the moon beautiful, Your Majesty?"

"You are . . ."

I stopped moving and looked down. Tobias brought one of my hands to his lips. "You are. Especially now that you're on top of me."

I rolled my eyes. "The moon. I am talking about the moon."

"The only beauty in my eyes is my queen."

I grinned.

As I moved, Tobias bit my wrist and began to suck my blood. I pressed my other hand on his knee and continued moving above him. "Don't you think they'll see our shadows making love?"

"No . . ."

The sunlight turned into moonlight, the blue tulip lit up like a small magical lamp, incense appeared like white laces dancing around the darkness of the giant flower, and now the silk hanging around the bed, like curtains, swayed as if the flower had its own wind, giving glimpses of our connected bodies sharing each other's warmth.
