Silverkit walked out of the nursery beside his mother, looking around the clearing with wide eyes. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a Clan Meeting!" Goldenstar yowled from Highrock, drawing out various cats from the parts of the grove. "Come with me, Silver; this is it. Your apprentice ceremony!" Ravenpelt murmured to her kit, nudging the gray kit to sit in front of her. "I'm scared Mom," Silverkit squeaked, staying next to her forelegs. Purring in amusement, Ravenpelt stroked her kits back with her tail. "Don't worry, you will do fine," Ravepelt comforted, licking Silverkit between the ears. "It has been six moons since Silverkit has been welcomed to the Clan with open paws, and, in accordance with the will of our ancestors and the Warrior code; Silverkit, please, come forward!" Goldenstar said his tone firm but kind.

Silverkit could feel the weight of the gazes of his clanmates as he slowly stepped forward, shaking visibly as he gazed up at his leader, the moon resting just behind him, making Goldenstar's eyes seem to glow lightly. "Silverkit, it is time for you to receive your right to apprenticeship. From this moment forward, I name you Silverpaw!" Goldenstar said, getting cheers from the rest of the clan.

"Silverpaw! Silverpaw! Silverpaw!" the rest of the clan chanted, making Silverkit now Silverpaw smile with pride, his chest fur fluffing out as he looked up at his leader. "Silverpaw, now as part of becoming an apprentice, you will need a mentor to watch over you and train you into a fine warrior like your father. Shadowclaw; step forward now!" Goldenstar called into the crowd. Silverpaw turned to see a she-cat stand up, looking at her leader with wide eyes. "Shadowclaw, you have proven yourself a loyal warrior, a fine hunter, and a great fighter. I wish for you to pass down what you know to Silverpaw," Goldenstar said, a murmur of approval rising from the crowd as Shadowclaw walked to stand in front of her apprentice, looking down at him with kind, unusual purple eyes, her black fur the color of a moonless sky.

Silverpaw tilted his head up, smiling shyly at Shadownclaw before they touched noses, signaling the bond of apprentice and mentor being made. With a yowl from the rest of the clan, Goldenstar lept from Highledge, signaling the end of the clan meeting. As the others left, Shadowclaw bent down to look at her apprentice with a smile. "You will do fine, that I promise," Shadowclaw said, getting Silverpaw to smile and nod. "Silverpaw! I am so proud of you!" Ravenpelt said as she moved to look down at her kit, a film of tears in her sapphire eyes. Silverpaw could only look down at the ground, unable to help the smile that spread over his face at his new name. "Silverpaw," he said to himself, making him feel a touch of pride again.

"I will train him the best I can," Shadowclaw promised Ravenpelt, dipping her head in respect for the mother. "Thank you, Shadowclaw," Ravenpelt replied, nodding back before Silverpaw yawned widely, making the two she-cats chuckle. "Go get your rest Silverpaw; we start in the morning," Shadowclaw told the silver pelted kit, making him squeak with excitement before he trotted to the apprentice's den, his small tail lifted high.

Only when Silverpaw was in the den did Shadowclaw look at Ravenpelt with an urgency that is understandable for what she was about to say. "Your kit, Silverpaw; is he the one of legend?" Shadowclaw asked Ravenpelt, her purple eyes flashing. "I don' know; Oakfern has said nothing to me about it, though I have overheard him speaking to Goldenstar about Silverpaw. What does he mean?" Ravenpelt asked her friend. "I don't know, though I do have an idea, one that will take place when Silverpaw gets older," Shadowclaw replied, looking to the apprentice's den with wide eyes, keeping the idea silent.

Okay, I know that I did not keep my promise for Chapter Three coming out soon, but I finally got it done; I had just finished the Warriors series after THREE YEARS of waiting for getting my hands on the last book.
