LEVI POV

I started to walk slowly as I clenched my wound. I also checked my surroundings every few seconds. While checking I heard something fast go through the bushes again. I still kept walking straight in case it was some mind game. I heard the fast rustle from all directions but still walked straight.

Then out of the blue he appeared in front of me. Panting and drool trailing down from his mouth to his chin. I gritted my teeth and got my knife ready. He started to walk towards me and I stood still. He stood in front of me and I looked him straight in the eye. I was ready for any sudden action he would at any second.

He leaned quickly for my neck but I dodged and stabbed him from behind. I heard a loud yelp from him but I didn't back down. He turned around sharply and gave me a death glare that I gladly returned. He pounced on me in a second and I was on the floor. I gasped as my wound opened up.

I stabbed the side of Eren's neck and pulled the knife out quickly. He got off me and placed his hand on the stab wound as he tried to gasp for air. I stabbed him in the heart from behind three times. I kept the knife inside his body as I catches my breath and slowly backed away from his body.
He was wheezing as he was slowly leaving the world.

"L-*wheez*Levi."

I looked at him as he tried to speak.

"I-I love *wheez* y-*wheez* you."

My eyes widened as is whole body froze and he closed his eyes. I felt tears prick at my eyes as I witnessed him leave. I quickly wiped them away and sniffled. I crawled next to him and hugged his body. I moved his hair from his eyes and kissed his forehead.

"I love you too." I whispered

There was a saying I used to tell people, it was to make a choice with no regrets. Sadly I did the opposite and regretted all of the things I just did to my lover. Though, I knew that look he had in his eyes all too well. It wasn't his choice to live this way and he didn't want it. I knew that I had just saved him from this cruel world.

I hugged him tightly and pulled out the knife from his back. I placed it inside my back pocket and got up. I lifted his body and placed it behind me with my arms holding his legs while they were at my sides. There was no sign of cars so I started to walk out of the woods into the street.

It took me until the next afternoon to arrive at my home. I luckily still had my keys and unlocked the door. I opened the back door and placed Eren's body gently onto the ground. While taking off my bookbag I picked up my shovel. Before starting my work I looked back at Eren and smiled knowing he would finally be at peace.

I had started to dig a hole the size of his body. Once I was done I picked up his body again and placed him inside. With every pile of dirt that I picked up with the shovel reminded me of the happy and sad times we shared. I felt tears run down my cheeks but didn't bother to wipe them.

When I finished I picked up a huge rock and placed it at the end of the hole. I went back inside and picked up a sharpie. My vision become dizzy but I still kept walking back to his grave. When I was close enough I kneeled down and wrote down his name.

"I miss you and I love you"~Levi

I got up and walked to my bookbag and grabbed the first aid kit. I wrapped the gauze bandage around my whole stomach area and let out a loud breath. I looked back at Eren's grave and cried putting my hands on my head. His blood smeared all over my face but at this moment I didn't care. I would always miss the one who made me feel content and made me feel like I belonged in this world.

*time skip*

It's been at least three and half years after Eren's death. I bought flowers from a local flower shop and placed it next to his tombstone. While placing the flowers I heard rustling in the small forest. A small child with chocolate brown hair like Eren's came out of the bushes. He had the same ears and tail Eren had but had amber colored eyes.

He walked slowly towards me as my jaw was left open. He hugged me and I hugged him back crying into his shoulder. He caressed my hair as I kept crying.

"E-Eren!" I said while crying.

He pulled away and formed a wide smile.

"I love you Levi!" He said cheerfully.

"I love you too." I said and pulled him into another hug.

I promise I'll protect you for as long as I live.
