The skin on Namara's knuckles became torn and bloodied as she rammed her fists into the punching bag. But as soon as the skin was torn off, revealing white bone, it healed over, without a mark. Again and again, torn then healed.  Namara was furious, and it was better to vent her anger on a punching bag than the director of SHIELD. She couldn't believe SHIELD was locking that kid up. If she couldn't get him released into Avengers custody, he was going to grow up in prison. Namara had spent over five years in a HYDRA prison, being an experiment. And as far as experimenting and being locked up, SHIELD may as well be HYDRA.

  "Ackermann!" Fury shouted angrily, pulling Namara out of her thoughts.

  She stopped beating the punching bag, relaxing her stance and letting her arms fall to her sides. Namara glared at Fury, both of her mismatched eyes even in their ability to convey hate. 

  "Miss Ackermann, that is the third time I've said your name," Fury snapped. 

"I'm sorry Sir," Namara said, her voice anything but sincere. "Did you need something?"

 "Yeah, as a matter of fact I do. I need to know why you went to Captain Rogers and somehow convinced him to get the other Avengers on board with the idea of taking the Asset you recovered out of SHIELD's hands."

 "It's simple Sir, Captain Rogers and the rest of his team are fairly decent human beings who aren't on board with the idea of keeping a child locked up like a feral animal," Namara smirked. 

  Fury glared at her, "Well I hope your happy now, because the Asset is being transferred into Avengers custody."

 Namara did her best to hide her relief, thank God Steve had been able to convince the team to take the Kid out of SHIELD. She didn't know how he'd been able to do it, but he had. 

   "But there was one condition," Fury added.

 "What?"

 "A SHIELD agent has to accompany the Asset to the Avengers Facility. Keep an eye on the Asset and make sure it's properly contained."

  Namara bristled at Fury's use of 'it', when describing the kid. He wasn't an Asset, he was a person, and a kid at that. 

  "Don't you want to know which SHIELD agent gets to accompany the highly dangerous Asset, to the Avengers Facility?"

 Namara knew that Fury was drawing this out for a reason, that he was enjoying this. "Who, Sir?"

"SHIELD Agent Namara Ackermann will accompany HYDRA asset 7723 to the Avengers's facility," Fury said.

  She was going to what? Namara didn't want to go back to the Avengers Facility, it wasn't the right place for her, it made her weak. That was where the Kid needed to be, not her. But she knew by the look on Fury's face that if she didn't agree to go, the Kid wasn't getting released. Now that she thought about it, if she went with the Kid to the facility, it would put her in an even better position to make sure he was kept safe.

 "Fine."

 "Very good, then you can accompany Asset 7723 to the Facility's medical ward to conduct some of the tests required for an Asset to properly index them."
