I have been away from the base for a month now. Time goes by fast when you are constantly on the move. My sight thing which I still don't know what to call it has stopped developing. I can now see the glow inside buildings and almost a mile away if I tried.

I have slight control over it since it is different than controlling my powers it's hard to figure out. So far I have been picturing seeing without it and forcing my eyes to do the same. It's a slow process but learning something new always is.

I found out that animals are green, zombies are dark red with orange, werewolves are gold, and witches are purple. I don't know what vampires, angels, demons, or humans are sure I haven't come across any yet. Plants don't have one I don't know why.

I also learned that the more powerful witches and werewolves have a brighter glow. Which makes it easier to pinpoint the alpha or coven leader.

I decided to go back to the base but I got sidetracked. On my way back I overheard some werewolves talking about raiding a human settlement. Me being me is now tailing them. I would have ambushed them right then and there but one of the patrols smelt me so I made a getaway. To stay out of their noses I divided to fly above them.

I shifted into my favourite wings to fly. They are angle wings but black with blue and silver highlights on some feathers. Having the ability to shapeshift means I can shift into anything I want or shift any part of my body including wings. Very handy in fights and very fun.

I have been following the werewolves for two days now. They are not going towards Shilo though and that is the only human settlement or military base in the area to my knowledge. None of the wolves have spotted me yet if any came close I just went invisible. I could have stayed invisible on the ground but I wanted to fly for a change.

I didn't kill them on the first day once I realized they were going in a different direction from Shilo. If there is another settlement I could help them get to Shilo. I need to protect as many humans and good supernatural creatures as possible.

Lazily flying above the group of werewolves I continue to practice my glowing sight. Turning it off and on almost getting it to switch in a second. Stopping I leave it on, blue catches my eye in the distance. Shooting my head up I focus my eyes ahead. On the ground around a big cleared out, area of trees is blue glowing dots moving around.

Guess I now know what humans' colour is, blue, sky blue mostly I guess the darker the blue the older you are. The wolves should reach the humans by nightfall. They are going to need food and plan once they get there. I continue following the wolves as I plan.

As predicted they got to the base by nightfall. They made camp in the trees a mile away from the humans. I landed in a tree shifting my wings away at the edge of the wolves' camp. Standing at the ready I smile as more than half of the wolves leave to hunt.

Waiting till the hunting party is out of earshot before dripping to the ground. The remaining wolves turn their heads at the sound of my drop. Growling they all stand stalking my way. Keeping my sent hidden I stand to my full height. I freeze at the cold metal in my throat. "Move and I will not hesitate to kill you," the wolf says behind me. Smiling internally at my prediction of the scout showing up. I was my hands signally I will not attempt anything, yet.

"Why are you here and who are you?" the Wolfe asks pressing the knife a little more into my throat.

Swallowing to play off as nervous I also said my heartbeat slightly knowing they could hear it. "My-my name K-Kaindra. I-I saw you-your fire and thought I could come and me-meet some new people." I say stuttering in my speech.

The wolf presses the knife more drawing a drop of blood. "Now why would a human come out here in the dark just to meet a group of travellers when their settlement is safe and sound." He sneers in my ear.

Dropping my act I speak in a calm voice "maybe because I am not from the settlement and have been following you for days now." spinning out of his grip I grab his knife kicking out his knees I stand behind him placing the knife at his throat with immortal speed. "And I don't like it when I hear of fellow supernatural threatening humans. Tell me what you guys are trying to gain by killing the humans?" I speak in a deadly calm spinning the knife on his skin drawing blood.

The other wolves shot out of their seats reaching for weapons or shifting. "Come any closer and your friend here will be dead before he could scream," I say glaring in their direction. They stop in their tracks scowling at me.

"We need a new place to stay safe as our old territory is not due to the new infections on the land." a lady speaks watching my hand for any movement.

"Where is the rest of your pack then, the children and elderly?" I ask watching them as I continue to spin the knife in the wolf's throat.

"This is our pack" another wolf speaks displaying his fangs.

Smelling the lie in their words my gladness deepens. "This may be all your pack but one this small does not have territory," I say. Their eyes widen in shock at my blunt statement. "Why hello, Alpha thank you for gracing us with your presence" I smirk, and he growls at me walking to the front of the group.

"Who are you and what are you doing with one of my pack members?" he barks. I smirk digging the knife a little more making the wolf hiss.

"I was just walking when I overheard you talking about killing this lovely human settlement and then taking it for yourself. Being the nice person I am I have to help them wouldn't you agree." Say some would say I am childish with how I am acting but I was bored and this is the perfect outlet.

"No I would not agree now scream human" he snarls bearing his fangs.

Tapping my chin with my other hand I pretend to think. "Nope, I don't think that will happen wolf. Now scream before this gets bloody." I say stepping into my protective side.

He growls at me taking a daring step forward. "I will ask one last time, leave now before I decide to not be generous," he says stopping in front of me. I glare up at him as he snarls in my face.

"No"

He growls before lunging at me. I stab the dagger into his packmate's throat slicing it open as I dive out of the way. I shift my eyes to their blood-red elongating my fangs as I snarl at him. He growls louder seeing his dead pack mate at his feet. "You will pay for that" he screams lunging again.

"I've heard that before," I say exasperated rolling my eyes. Vamping behind his pack mates I grip the blooded blade in my hand driving it into another wolf. He howls out before collapsing to the ground.

The others turn at the sound spotting me standing over another body. "Vampire" one of them whispers. I smile nodding my head.

"Bones point to the fella on the left," I say bowing. Dam this is fun. The other wolves reach for their weapons falling into a fighting stance. Beaming I follow suit preparing for the onslaught.

Pulling out my new sword from its sheath I hold it forward with excitement. The moonlight shines off of its black blade showing the care put into it. Excited to get my first shot at using it I wait for the first wolf to move forward.

A wolf from the right leaps at me with an axe. Blocking the attack I make quick work slicing into the wolf's side spraying blood onto the ground. The wolf screams out in pain collapsing to the ground and bleeding out quickly. "Whos next?" I asked turning back to the group.

Fifteen were in the group originally, thirteen are left now. A small group but a deadly one to humans nonetheless. Two more come at me shipping at my fave with claws instead of weapons. Ducking I drag my sword upwards on the closest wolf creating a huge slash from their middle to their shin. The drop a few seconds later leaving the next one wide open. Spinning my sword in my hands I slice at their throat with lightning speed decapitating them. Their head rolls a permanent look of shock is left on their face.

It moves like this till only the alpha remains. Fuming at his dead pack at my feet he shifts into his wolf. Steadying my breathing I spin my blooded sword loosening my wrist in preparation. Normally the alpha is the first to strike in a show of their strength to the pack that they are a worthy leader. This alpha is either weak and cowardly or trusts his pack to do all the dirty work for him.

Charging at me angrily he leaps into the air. Sighing I dive under him the sting my sword into the air successfully impaling his abdomen. Dropping to the ground he whimpers in pain. A cowardly alpha he is. "What a coward making his pack members do the dirty work well you just stand by watching, you don't deserve to be alpha," I say stalking up to his cowering form. Calling an alpha unworthy is the worst thing an alpha can be told by anyone.

"Don't try and reason with me I would have reasoned with your pack but you only wanted power and safety. In your next life remember this leadership is not bought by fear or power it's by the responsibility and selflessness one shows to others. Learn and remember that as I give no mercy to ones who don't show it to others." I say he whines at me helplessly as I drive my sword through his neck.

Pulling my sword out of his dead body I pull the blood off of it till it's shining clean. Pulling the blood off of myself I begin to walk to the human settlement sheathing my sword. Night fell a long time ago but people should be on the watch for any surprises.

Walking up to the front gate the sentries tell down to some people below. The gate opens a little showing some people milling around it. "Hello who might you be and what is your business here?" a man asks as I stop a respectful distance away.

"A traveller from Shilo base I heard there was a settlement here and came to see if you guys were alright I say kindly to the man.

"We are doing quite alright as you can see. Would you like to come in it is quite late?" he asks motioning behind himself.

"I will take up your offer sir thank you. Tomorrow after some rest I would like to talk to you about how you are faring and any concerns or issues you might have that I could assist you with." I say nodding my thanks and walking forward.

"Tomorrow we can discuss. My name is Mike I am the leader here. What is your name young one" he asks kindly guiding me to an open path with some huts.

"My name is Kaindra sir. Thank you for letting me stay for the night" I say as we walk.

He shakes his head waving my thanks off "you don't have to thank me it is only right with everything going. It is safer behind walls than in the open, especially for one so young as yourself, " he says.
"This is where you will be staying the night I do apologize for not having anything better but with the short amount of time this is all we could manage."

Looking at the small tent I smile waving him off "This is better than sleeping in a tree I quite like tents. We can continue this discussion tomorrow goodnight Mike and thank you again" I say honestly smiling gratefully at him.

Smiling at me causing more wrinkles in his aged eyes he says "Oh it's nothing. Tomorrow at breakfast we can continue it is in the small building on the right with the noise in the morning you should be able to find it." nodding one last time in thanks I make my way to the tent smiling back at the kind old man one last time before turning in.
