plot- (second story part to 'the worst one yet') what if when nico stabbed kronos he unknowingly help him?!

other things- (this happened before the chapter pirates) (small spoiler for the sun and the star chapter preview) hope you guys enjoy this chapter! read on!

1st person pov (ben's pov)

     don't tell anyone this, especially nico, but ever since I was kidnapped last week I've been having nightmares, they all started the same, I was back in the warehouse, I was tied up, nobody was in the room, then all of a sudden a monster that has brutal golden eyes, black curly hair, and an unnerving, long pointy beard. He's 9 feet tall. he was staring creepily at me.

     "Who are you?" I asked scared, "what do you want?"

     "Who am I?" the monster repeated the question like I should know the answer.

     the monster's voice was cold, and kinda scratchy. I felt death and destruction from him, like he's killed people before and he'll do it again.

     "what I want," the monster said circling me, "is for you to help me."

     "With what?" I asked struggling against the ropes.

     "to escape," he answered, "to be free."

     "free from what?" I asked.

     "you know," the monster started, ignoring my question, "I tried to have your older brother help me, then you wouldn't be in this mess, but your brother refused. your brother didn't help me, so know you have to."

     it hit me like a brick, I knew who this monster was.

     "kronos," I whispered to myself.

     "That's right ben." kronos said, "you're smart, and powerful, that's good."

     I then jumped awake, and I'd been having that same exact nightmare since that day. the same exact nightmare, over and over and over again.

time change...

1st person pov (nico's pov)

     It's been a week since both ben and I got kidnapped, I know that ben's been having nightmares and I wish he would talk to me about it, everyone at camp knows about it, ben doesn't know this but he's screaming in his sleep.  I know what it's like to get nightmares, I could help him, if he would tell me.

     "what should I do?" I asked will.

     I was in the infirmary with will trying to get advice.

     "I would say to let him come to you when he's ready," will answered, "don't force him to tell you."

     "but what if he doesn't tell me!" I exclaimed.

     "give it a week," will replied, "in one week, if he doesn't tell you about the nightmares, ask him, but if he doesn't want to tell you don't make him, just let him know that he can talk to you if he wants to."

     "Okay..." I said sadly, I know ben's not going to talk about it but I want him, and I hate waiting on people.

time change... (same pov)

     It's been a week and ben still hasn't told me about his nightmares, time to go ask him about it.

     I walked to our cabin and opened it, I saw ben reading again, 'why does he like to read so much?' i walked in front of him.

     "hi?" he asked after I said nothing and just stared at him.

     "I want to talk to you," I told him.

     "so talk?" ben replied.

     ben put his book down and sat up.

     "I know about the nightmares." I told him.

     "Oh." ben said looking down.

     I bent down to his level and looked at him.

     "I get nightmares too, all the time." I told him.

     "Really?" ben asked, his voice sounded, disconnected kinda in a way like he was remembering one of his nightmares.

     "yeah," I answered, "I get them almost every night, but I usually talk to Mr d or will about it, and I want to let you know that you can tell me about your nightmares."

     ben shook his head, "okay," he said, "I would like to talk about them."

     I sat next to him, "I'm listening."

time change...(same pov)

     ben told me about his nightmare, oh my gods, why didn't he tell me earlier, luckily he told me that talking to me about it helped and that when he has another one he'll let me know.

     I asked Ben if I was able to talk to will about his nightmares and ben said I could, so I'm currently explaining ben's nightmares to will.

     "I thought you destroyed kronos though?" will asked, "how could he still be able to manipulate the dreams?"

     "I'm not sure." I answered, "maybe I should talk to Clovis?"

     "That sounds like a good idea," Will said, "but make sure to ask ben before you do, wanna make sure you can tell Clovis about his dream."

     "of course." I said. I had planned to ask ben before doing it.

     I then kissed will goodbye and went to find ben, I saw him talking to Lilly, they were laughing.

     "hey, ben!" I called to him.

     ben then ran up to me, "what do you need?"

     "I want to talk to Clovis about your nightmares if that's alright with you," I told him.

     "Sure." ben said.

     "okay," I told him, "have fun hanging with Lilly."

     "I will." ben replied.

     I then made my way to the Hypnos cabin.

change of pov

1st person pov (clovis's pov)

     I was sleeping in my cabin when nico woke me up.

     "what do you want?" I asked him.

     "I want to talk to you about ben." nico answered.

     I sat up, "okay?"

     nico then started telling me about ben's nightmares, my gods, they sound horrifying.

     "do you know why kronos is able to manipulate his dreams?" nico asked me.

     "I'm not sure." I told him, "id have to watch him sleep to possibly figure it out, but he would have to have a nightmare."

     nico ran his hand through his hair, "should I see if he wants to do it? I don't want to make him have more nightmares than normal, but I want to figure this out."

     "ask him," I told nico, "if he doesn't want to do it don't make him, but at least give him a choice."

     "Alright." nico said, he then stood up and left my cabin, I then went back to sleep.

time change...(same pov)

     about ten minutes after nico left he came back in and woke me up, next to him was ben.

     "hi ben." I greeted sleepily.

     "hi." ben replied.

     "nico," I said, "go get me a coffee."

     "no." nico replied, he sounded offended that I bossed him around.

     "fine," I said, I then woke up one of my siblings to go get me a coffee. I then looked at ben.

     "I want you to lay down on this bed and just sleep," I told him, "I'm just going to observe your dreams, and when it seems like you're having a nightmare I'm going to enter your dream and see if I can help, okay?"

     ben just shook his head, he then laid down where I told him to and closed his eyes, my sibling came back with my coffee and I dranked it, I then stared at ben, he started twisting and turning.

     "he's having a nightmare!" nico exclaimed.

     I grabbed ben and entered his dream.

(ben's dream, clovis's pov)

     I entered ben's dream, I saw him tied up in a chair, he was talking to someone but I couldn't see or hear them, suddenly kronos appeared in front of ben, they were talking to each other but I still couldn't hear what they were saying, suddenly I saw annabeth, she appeared behind ben, she had her dagger, she was getting ready to stab ben with her dagger, I suddenly came to a huge realization, I then left ben's dream.

(end of ben's dream, still clovis's pov)

     I looked at nico, fear filled my eyes.

     "what's wrong?" nico asked worried, "what did you see?"

     "go find percy, now!" I told him.

     nico shook his head and ran out.

change of pov

1st person pov (nico's pov)

     I don't know what Clovis saw, but he looked scared and he made me go get percy, right now percy was at sword training, so I ran to the arena.

     "percy!" I screamed.

      he looked at me and I ran to him.

     "nico?" percy asked, "what's wrong."

     "It's ben!" I exclaimed, "Clovis, he- he said to get you!"

     I wasn't able to think straight right now, my brother was in danger, I just know it.

     percy shook his head and we ran off to the Hypnos cabin.

short time change because I'm lazy...

1st person pov (Percy's pov)

     nico and I ran into the Hypnos cabin, I saw Clovis standing next to a sleeping ben.

     "what's going on?" I asked confused.

     "percy!" Clovis exclaimed, "where is annabeth?"

     "I don't know why?" I answered.

     suddenly Clovis yelled at nico to watch out, nico and I turned around and Annabeth stabbed nico with her dagger, nico fell down, and he screamed in pain, I looked at annabeth, her eyes had turned glossy blue.

     "annabeth?" I asked, "what's wrong?"

     Clovis put his hand on my shoulder, "that's not annabeth anymore."

     suddenly annabeth's eyes returned back to gray, she fell down, I caught her, she was freezing, I stared over at nico, he had the dagger sticking out of his heart.

     "oh my gods." Clovis said, "nico's dead."

     suddenly nico started to laugh, although it didn't sound like his laugh.

     "fools." nico said, but it wasn't his voice, it was someone else.

     nico slowly stood up, he stared at us, his eyes were a glossy golden.

     suddenly ben woke up and stared at nico.

     "nico?" ben asked, "what are you doing?"

     ben saw the dagger sticking out of nico's heart, and ben's eyes widened.

     "ni-Nico?" ben stuttered.

     "hello ben." nico said, he sounded evil, nico grabbed the dagger and pulled it out, "if feels so good to be back."

author note: that's the end of this part!!! sorry, I haven't uploaded in a while, I've been very busy, but hopefully soon and I can start to get on a better schedule. bye for now!
