1. if anyone ever needs a prank to be done in secret they go to leo who has a contract that makes sure that person can not hurt leo for their prank if it gets messed up. and nobody ever tries to prank leo because leo has every prank suplie you can imagine and if you prank him once you better watch your back.

2. the stolls will break into other cabins when kids are sleeping and whisper something they should and then if the campers listen the stolls can't help but laugh that their plan worked and then Chiron will make them do the dishes for a month.

plot: nico was tired of all the pranks Percy had been playing on him, so why not get some payback? nico got the help of leo and made it look like a fake kidnapping. telling everyone but Percy to not freak them out. however, what happens when nico actually gets kidnapped while Leo's setting up? read to find out.

3rd person POV...(Nico's pov)

     "Jackson, I'm going to kill you!" nico yelled when he saw his hair that morning.

     nico woke up and walked into the bathroom and what he saw made his blood boil. he. was. blond! there was a note on the bathroom mirror. it said.

     "hey, nico. hope you like your new hair color hehehehe. signed Percy Jackson."

     nico crumbled up the note and stormed out of the bathroom. ben had woken up.

     "hey ni- what happened to your hair?" Ben asked.

     "Jackson." nico growled, "stay here and don't go into Percy's cabin."

     nico then stormed out of the cabin. he stormed to Percy's cabin and pushed open the door.

     "I'm going to kill you Jackson!" nico screamed.

     "uh oh," Percy replied.

     "you've done it this time." nico told him.

     "nico! it was just a harmless prank! I swear!" Percy pleaded.

change of pov...

3rd person pov...(will's pov)

     will was having a peaceful morning when Ben ran into the infirmary.

     "Will you have to help!"

     will stood up immediately and walked towards Ben, "What's wrong?!"

     "Nico's gonna kill Percy!" Ben said.

     "what? why?"

     "Percy pranked nico again by dying his hair blonde!" Ben answered.

     will didn't even reply, he just ran towards Percy's cabin. he ran in and saw Percy in the corner. nico was standing in front of him, his hair blond, unlike his normal black hair.

     "nico! nico! nico!" will yellled, "calm down. we can just dye it back!"

     "fine." nico growled, "you're lucky Percy."

     nico stormed out of Poseidon's cabin and went into his. will turned to Percy.

     "lay off on the pranks will you?" will asked, "I'm tired of saving you from nico."

    "fine. ill find a new victim to target." Percy said.

     will walked out of the cabin and headed towards Nico's after stopping by the aphrodite cabin for hair dye. he walked into the Hades cabin and saw nico sitting on his bed with his knees to his chest. a coping mechanism will have noticed nico uses a bunch of times.

     "hey," Will greeted, "you okay?"

     "I hate Jackson." nico mumbled.

     "come on. let's get your hair back to black." will told him, "although you do look cute blonde."

     nico moved off his bed, "over my dead body."

     will smiled and walked into the bathroom. nico followed him and sat down. will then began to apply the dye to Nico's head. they let the dye set and then nico washed it out. soon enough nico was back to having black hair.

     nico and Will were cuddling on Nico's bed after this whole ordeal.

     "hey," Will quietly spoke

     "hi." nico replied.

     "Can I ask you something?"

     nico nodded in response.

     "When I walked in you were doing the thing you do to comfort yourself. want to talk about it?" will asked.

     nico sat up and faced Will, "Percy has been playing pranks on me every day for the past two weeks. and today was the worst. I don't mind bugs in my bed or trying to scare me by pretending to be a ghost. sure it's annoying but I can deal with it. but breaking into my cabin while I'm sleeping and changing my hair color? that just pushed it over the top. you don't do that to someone."

     will sensed there was something more, "That's not all is it?"

     "no, there's more."

     "you don't need to talk about it-" will started.

     "I want to. talking about it helps." nico interrupted, he took a deep breath, and began, "So, around a week after I left camp after Bianca died I was walking around New York trying to find my way to the underworld when this guy grabbed me. he was strong and I was weak from not eating and I was just younger than him. he pulled me into an alley and started beating me. he then thought it would be funny to dye my hair blonde for some reason. I don't know what would've happened if a cop hadn't shown up when he did. I was scared. Besides thorn, I had never been in a situation like that. I didn't know what to do. so I ran off, away from the cop. luckily I found a store and bought some hair dye with the money I stole from the man's pocket. I guess Percy dying my hair blonde reminded me of that. I shouldn't have acted the way I did though."

     "Can I hug you?" will asked.

     nico nodded and Will hugged him. will ran his hand up and down Nico's back soothingly.

     "you didn't deserve what happened that night and Percy shouldn't have done what he did," Will told him.

     "yeah, I know...thanks." nico replied, then an idea sparked, "Hey...would you be mad if I retaliated and pranked Percy back?"

     "What type of prank?"

     nico whispered his prank in Will's ear. will thought it over.

     "I'll allow it. but just this once." will said.

     "Thanks." nico spoke.

     "you were going to do it anyways weren't you?"

     "you know I would." nico told Will.

     "I'll let everyone know," Will replied.

     nico smirked and stood up. he kissed Will on the lips and left the cabin.

change of pov...

3rd person POV...(Nico's pov)

     nico made his way towards bunker nine. he knocked on the door and leo answered.

     "hey, nico. can I help you?" leo asked.

     "I need your help for a prank." nico answered.

     "come in." leo said.

     nico walked inside Bunker Nine and leo closed the door.

     "What type of prank are you planning to do?" leo questioned, "and remember my policy, any prank business is strictly confidential, meaning you don't tell anyone I helped you and you definitely can't tell them about my supply stock. do you agree to my terms?"

     "yes leo, I agree to your dumb terms." nico told him.

     "Hey! One of my terms is to not be mean to me." leo reminded him.

     nico growled and turned to face leo, "I need you to kidnap me."

     . . .

     "uh, what?" leo asked. his confusion was evident.

     "I need you to kidnap me." nico repeated, "I'm playing a prank on Percy as payback. I want him to think I got kidnapped because I was too angry with him and decided to go and try to fight monsters to calm down. found some monsters I shouldn't have messed with and, BOOM! kidnapped."

     "ah, a revenge prank." leo spoke, his eyes glinting with mischievous, "follow me. I think I got all you need."

     "perfect." nico smirked.

     leo walked to a wall in bunker nine and pressed a button. the wall opened up to reveal a wall full of pranking equipment.

     "This is a lot of stuff." nico noted.

     "all the things you need and more." leo agreed nodding.

    nico started grabbing things and set up outside the bunker in the woods. leo helped

     "I forgot something. I'll be back!" leo said.

     leo walked inside the bunker and nico was left alone. while nico was alone he heard a noise in front of him.

     "leo?" nico asked standing up, "nice try. you can't scare me."

     leo walked out of the shadows, "Man. I thought I'd get you this time."

     "nope." 

     they finished setting up. go time.

change of pov...

3rd person pov...(Percy's pov)

     Percy was in his cabin when an arrow flew through his window. Percy stood up and looked at the arrow. it had a video camera connected to it. Percy picked up the camera and sat back down on his bed. he turned on the video and was terrified of what he saw.

     nico was breathing heavily, his face was bloody, and he had a swollen black eye.

     "to anyone who sees this. I need help. i-i was angry and I decided to take it out on some monsters. I came across something I never should've. this thing is bigger than anything else I've ever faced. I'll probably be dead by the time this is seen by anyone."

     just then nico was knocked out and grabbed by a big monster-looking thing. the monster picked up the camera and spoke.

     "Demigods of camp. if you want this demiboy back come find and fight me in the hills hidden by all. by sundown."

     Percy turned off the video and sighed. he has to fight this monster alone. he needed to. it's his fault nico got caught and now Percy's going to save him.

change of pov...

3rd person POV...(Nico's pov)

     after nico shot the camera into Percy's window he ran up to the hill to wait for Percy to arrive. once Percy did nico would jump out and scare Percy making him realize this was just a prank. And hopefully, this will get him to stop playing pranks for a while.

     however, while nico was waiting he heard a noise behind me. he spun around and unsheathed his sword. nico was greeted by a very tall man, probably around 14 feet tall. the man was just shadows, black shadows.

    "whoah." nico whispered.

     "Are you nico di Angelo, son of Hades?" the tall man asked, his voice echoing.

     "Perhaps. who are you?" nico replied.

     "I am Sephtis, your father's sworn enemy," Sephtis answered.

     "good for you." nico said.

     "you will come with me and be my prisoner. to which your father will have to beg me to let you go." Sephtis told nico.

     "no thanks." nico replied.

     "you do not have a choice sone of hades!" Sephtis yelled.

     Sephtis reached out to nico and engulfed him in shadows. nico felt himself get dragged away while losing consciousness.

change of pov...

3rd person pov.,.(Percy's pov)

     Percy ran up the hill and saw no sign of a monster or nico, only some residue on the ground. he waited for around thirty minutes when he decided it was time to tell someone. he ran down the hill and towards Annabeth's cabin, Athena's. he knocked on the door frantically.

     "yeah?" annabeth asked.

     "Nico's missing and I tried to get him back but the monster didn't show up and now I don't know what to do." Percy answered.

     annabeth, let out a laugh which concerned Percy, "Percy, it was just a prank. nico was getting back at you."

     "but he wasn't up there. no one was. only this residue type thing and Nico's sword was on the ground." Percy explained, "annabeth, please. it might've been a prank originally but I don't think it is anymore."

     "fine, I'll go up there with you." annabeth told him, "come on."

     "thank you," Percy replied.

     percy and Annabeth then both walked up the hill. percy showed annabeth where the residue and sword were. annabeth bent down and looked at the residue. a look of concern showed on her face. she stood up and faced Percy.

     "This isn't good." annabeth said.

     "what is it?" Percy asked.

     "this residue belongs to Sephtis." annabeth answered.

     "Who?"

     "Sephtis, he's the Persian god of death. his name means eternal death. He and Hades have a long-standing feud and have for a while." annabeth explained.

     "Oh." 

     "come on. we need to tell everyone." annabeth told him.

change of pov...

3rd person POV...(Nico's pov)

     When Nico woke up he noticed shadow handcuffs on his wrist. the room was mostly dark but when he tried to shadow travel away it didn't work and the handcuffs shocked him. suddenly the tall shadow man walked in. nico tried to remember his name. seppy? sephits? Sephtis! nico stood up and glared at sephtis.

     "What are these?" nico asked, "why can't I shadow travel away?"

     "these," sephtis said motioning to the handcuffs, "along with everything else was specially made to keep you here. now I can exact my revenge."

     "you must be an idiot if you think my father will beg for my release. my father doesn't beg for anyone, especially if it's just for his children." nico spoke.

     "oh, he'll come." Sephtis growled, "Believe it or not but Hades does care for you, his spawn."

     "I doubt that." nico replied rolling his eyes.

     "it's time to call Hades." sephtis announced.

     sephtis took out a coin and a hose, suddenly the room exploded in lights. nico squinted for a few seconds and blinked. sephtis already had a rainbow started by the time nico could see again.

     "o iris, goddess of rainbows. take my offering and call Hades." sephtis said.

     "Hello?" nico heard his father ask.

change of pov...

3rd person pov...(hades pov)

     hades was overseeing the deaths of the day when a rainbow screen appeared in front of him.

     "oh great. which brother wants to bother me now." hades mumbled, "answer."

     the image started clearing.

     "Hello?" hades asked.

     "Greetings hades." a voice said, hades recognized it to be his archnemesis, sephtis.

     "sephtis! what do you want?" hades growled.

     "Oh, I just thought you'd like to know something that I know." sephtis answered.

     "And what is that?" 

     the image shifted and what Hades saw made his blood run cold. he saw his son. nico di Angelo standing up glaring at sephtis. nico's face was all bloody and bruised and he had black shadow handcuffs on his wrist.

     "what's your endgame here sephtis?" hades sneered, "you think you can kidnap my son and then just call me? let nico go. now."

     "oh I don't think I will." sephtis spoke, "if you want your son back you'll have to come to my palace and beg for me to let him go."

     hades didn't even respond, he just waved away the call and got a murderous look in his eyes.

change of pov...

3rd person pov...(will's pov)

     will was in the infirmary wrapping Lilly's wrist. She tripped and sprained her wrist. luckily with her being a child of Apollo, she should be fine in about two days instead of two weeks. Besides, Will, lilly is the most clumsy kid at camp, just like her brother.

     "thanks will," lilly said.

     "no problem." will replied.

     Then Annabeth and Percy ran in.

     "where's nico?" annabeth asked, her voice frantic.

     "Isn't he at the hill? he's supposed to be up there waiting for Percy."

     "I already went up there." Percy said, "he's not there."

     "but his sword and signs of sephtis are." annabeth spoke.

     "sephtis was there?!" will asked.

     annabeth nodded.

     "We need chrion," Will told them.

change of pov...

3rd person pov...(nico's pov...)

     nico was tired of being bait for people and getting kidnapped in general. he was glaring at sephtis who was smiling evilly.

     "why are you smiling?" nico asked, "you saw my dad. he's not coming."

     "oh, he is." sephtis told him, "now, time for some fun while we wait for Dad."

     "oh great, I know where this is going." nico thought to himself.

     and he was right. nico couldn't help but scream when it felt like his body was being torn apart. because it was. then nico felt his body being set on fire, he screamed bloody murder while sephtis just smiled at his pain.

     "youre sick!" nico yelled at him.

    sephtis didn't say anything. he just continued to torture nico.

change of pov...

3rd person pov...( will's pov)

     will, Percy, and Annabeth all ran to the big house where Chiron on Mr. D were playing pinocle.

     "chrion!" will exclaimed.

     "what's going on?" Chiron asked.

     "sephtis is here." annabeth answered, "and he took nico."

     "styx." Chiron cursed, "call everyone."

     "Everyone?" annabeth checked.

     "Everyone," Chiron ordered,

     annabeth obeyed and walked away taking out her demigod-proof phone.

     "what are we going to do?" Percy asked, "I've fought gods before. it is NOT fun."

     "We have to negotiate." Chiron answered, Chiron caught the glimpse of worry on Will's and Percy's faces, "Do not worry you two. we will get nico back."

     Chiron stood up and motioned for Mr. D to follow him. the two of them entered the big house. percy sat down on the steps of the big house.

     "I'm so sorry Will." Percy said, "This is all my fault. if I hadn't pranked nico he wouldn't have felt the need to retaliate meaning he wouldn't have even been on the hill meaning sephtis wouldn't have had him."

     will thought hard and chose his next words carefully, "It isn't your fault Percy. you made a mistake and you definitely shouldn't have pranked nico, but you had no clue what would've happened and for all you know, nico would've ended on up there anyway. but I do demand you do one thing to make it up to nico."

     "what is it?! id do anything!"

     "apoligive." will told him, "and stop playing pranks on him."

     "I was already planning on doing both those things," Percy replied.

     "good." will speaks, "Oh, and, doesn't think too hard about why nico reacted the way he did. it wasn't you, just something else."

     "he deserved to act that way." Percy talked, "I realized after nico came into my cabin that it was too far."

     "Can I ask why you did it?" will asked.

     "I don't know. the schools told me it would be funny." Percy said, "I should've known better. the number one camp rule is, never listen to the stolls."

     "yep." will agreed.

     suddenly annabeth returned to the big house and so did the whole camp. everyone headed inside. annabeth and the rest of the athena kids started coming up with a plan. and that's when...
