author note: hey yall! enjoy this chapter! (spoilers for house of hades)

1st person pov (ben's pov)

     looking back, I shouldn't have shadow traveled onto the pirate ship since I can't stay awake after shadow-traveling, even if it's just a short distance. when I landed I ended up passing out.

     I woke up and looked around, I was in what looked like a jail cell, I had a bracelet on my wrist, it was gray and black, across from me was Percy, he also had a bracelet on his wrist, this was green and blue, he had a bandage wrapped around his leg, 'what happened to him?' i thought to myself.

     I saw Nico in the jail cell next to Percy, he had the same bracelet I had, he was sleeping. I heard a noise from the door at the end of the hall, it was the pirate from earlier. I think his name was blackboard but I couldn't fully remember.

     "I be glad t' see at least one o' ye be awake." the pirate said.

     I stood up and walked up to the bars in front of me, "what are you going to do to us?"

     "if yer hearties don't give me back me ship ill throw ye in the water wit' the sharks." he answered.

     "they already told you it was destroyed!" I replied.

     "Silence!" Blackbeard snapped.

     I jumped back at his scream, I saw Percy move, Blackbeard turned around and faced him.

     "ahoy sea serpent." Blackbeard mocked.

     "What happened?" Percy asked, he sounded disoriented, he looked at Blackbeard, "oh wait, I remember now."

     "here," Blackbeard said throwing bread at Percy, Nico, me, and the cell next to me.

     'why did he throw a piece of bread in the cell next to me, there shouldn't be anyone in there unless he took more people from camp.'  i thought to myself.

     black beard then left the room.

     "who's in the cell next to me?" I asked Percy, he was staring at the bread.

     "hi." a voice to the right of me said, I recognized the voice to be Leo, he sounded upset.

     "what are you doing here?" Percy asked, "I thought you were in new york for a quest with Jason and piper?"

     "the pirates saw my camp half-blood shirt and snatched me," Leo explained, "im sorry, it's my fault you guys are in here."

     "what do you mean?" Nico asked, I don't know when he woke up, but he's up now.

     "when the pirates captured me they made me tell them where camp was." Leo answered, it was obvious he was trying not to cry.

     "Why did you tell them?!" Nico exclaimed.

     "I had to!" Leo said, "they were going to kill me! I didn't know they were going to take anyone, they told me they just wanted their ship back."

     Percy stood up, "well we don't have their ship! Polyphemus destroyed it!"

     "Well, I didn't know that!" Leo yelled.

     leo was standing next to the bars, I saw that he also had a bracelet on, it was a bronze color.

     "What are these bracelets for?" I asked trying to change the subject.

     Percy and Nico looked at the bracelets for the first time, they apparently didn't realize they were wearing them before.

     "they block our demigod magic." Leo explained.

     "I didn't know that was possible." Percy replied.

     "Great!" Nico exclaimed, "we can't even use our demigod magic to get out."

     "what are we going to do?" I asked, I was scared.

     "well figure it out ben," Nico told me, "we always do."

time change...

1st person pov (will's pov)

     I was freaking out! Nico, Percy, and ben all got taken hostage by the pirates who want their pirate ship back, but we can't give them their ship back because it was destroyed! could things get worse?

     we contacted Catherine and hazel for what seemed the fifth time this week telling them their brothers were in trouble, once again.

     "I swear, ben is like a younger Nico." Catherine said, "it's always them two getting in trouble."

     "How are we supposed to get them back?" I asked.

     I had Chiron call the stolls to camp since they're the son of Hermes, and they're pretty good at tricking people.

     "We have an idea," Connor said.

     "what is it?" Annabeth asked, her eyes were red from crying, I can't blame her though, she's worried about Percy since he was shot, and we're not sure if he's okay or not.

     "We get hazel to use her mist abilities to trick the pirates into thinking the ship is here but it's not, like she did against that sorceress" Travis explained.

     "it might work." Chiron said.

     "it will work." hazel spoke up, she sounded confident, "it must."
