other: the songs in this chapter are all from the Nickelodeon Henry Danger musical episode besides the fact that I changed a few lyrics. dialogue is mine though wherever somebody is singing, the text will be slanted like this

plot: there is a musical curse over camp half-blood from Apollo. can the demigods stop the curse?

3rd person pov. . .(no specific pov. . .)

     Percy awoke to birds chirping and his demigod-proof phone ringing. he picked it up yawning and answered it to hear Annabeth, singing?

     "Percy, you gotta get out here."

     "why are you singing? why am I singing?"

     "Just brush your teeth and get out here."

     "Can you smell my breath through the phone?"

     "What? no, listen. Someone put a musical curse over the camp."

     "Really?" Percy sang-talked asked

      "Really!"

     "Has it infected everybody else?"

     "Go outside and see for yourself!"

     Percy climbed out of his bed and completely forgot to brush his teeth, he rushed outside and saw the camp in chaos.

     Chiron left the big house, "Something's going on. There's a musical curse over camp half-blood."

     "I'm stuck in a song." Clarisse sang, "There's a musical curse over camp half-blood."

     Mr. d looked up at the sky, "gods up there, tell us can you hear us?"

     "I'm doing this against my will." Nico sanged as he left the Apollo cabin.

     "yeah!" ben sanged, "theres a musical curse over camp half-blood."

     "This is so not chill." Leo sanged, "There's a musical curse over camp half-blood."

     everyone joined in in amazing harmony, "Hey gods up there, did you hear us?"

     everyone turned to see Connor trying to leave camp.

     "Conner where are you going?" Chiron asked sanged.

      "i hate to be a jerk, but i gotta go to the store. you know, stealing everything."

     "but Conner havent you heard?" Mr. d asked, "we're singing every word!"

     an Athena kid joined horrible off key, "like thisssssssss"

     "It's totally out of our control." everyone singed.

     "Sorry fam, I gotta roooooooLLL"

     "Not a key change!"

     "If you're just tuning in," Jason sang flying through the sky holding Leo in his arms, "There's musical curse over camp halfblooded!"

     "My first name is Leonidas"

     "Good Gods, Leo. There's a musical curse over camp half-blood."

     "Leonidas Valdez!"

     "hey there gods, can you save us?" everyone sang once more.

     suddenly Apollo appeared in the sky, "We interrupt this program for me! Citizens of camp half-blood, it is I, Apollo the Grand! In case you didn't notice, there's a musical curse on the land. My bad, or good. 'Cause this is the way that it should be. I have control of all of your voices. I'm blasting a special low-frequency. And now, camp half-blood is perfect. Musically extra perfect! Just like me!!! Tata for now."

     Apollo disappeared and everyone looked around, "Oh nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo."

     "What did I miss?" asked frank and hazel stepping out of the hades and Ares cabin. 

      "What are we gonna do?" Annabeth, Nico and will sang.

     "I'm trying to find Apollo." Annabeth sang her face in a book.

     "What are we gonna do?" the three sang again

     "He's gotta be hiding somewhere." will sang

     "What are we gonna do?"

     Percy walked over to Annabeth who was with the seven and Nico and will and ben.

     "Finally!" piper exclaimed.

     "Sorry it took me so long."

     "Ooh, Perce, you'll never believe what happened." Leo sang.

     "No, I know."    

     "There's a musical curse over camp half-blood."

     "Yeah, I know."

     "And you'll never believe who did it."

     "Apollo?"

     "Apollo!"

     "Yeah, I know!"

     "Ooh, Perce, you'll never believe how he did it"

     "he took control of our voices."

     Percy sighed, "Yeah, I know."

     "And then put out a weird kind of frequency and now we have to sing." both of them.

     "Leo!"

     "Yeah??"

     "Thanks for filling me in."

     "Sure!"

     Percy walked over to Annabeth and turned to his friends.

     "okay, so why does Apollo want a musical?" Annabeth asked will

     "i dont know."

     "hey, wait!" Percy exclaimed, "we're not singing!"

     Percy jumped on a bench and began to sing again, "we finally broke the curse! and now I'm singing again. . ."

     "thats because theirs small breaks between songs with just talking." Leo explained.

     just then Nico spoke up, "Please, be seated."

     "everything okay Nico?" Annabeth asked.

     "When I was a boy I auditioned for a musical. it was a musical, about cats!"

     "Was it Cats?" Leo asked.

     "It doesn't really matter, Leo. I'm trying to tell a story here. Please listen. Thank you! Anyway, on the day of the audition..." Nico took in a breath "I wore underwear. Underwear with cats, like in the musical. That's how I knew this role would be mine stat!"

     ben tilted his head, "What's stat?"

     overlapping conversation began as they all tried to explain what stat meant, Nico put his hands an his hips.

     "Are you guys done? I'm kinda pouring my heart out here. Anyway, I meow's Oh, I meow's Like I'd studied cats at Yale Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow
Meow and I shook my tush like my tush had a bushy little tail."

     "Do cats have bushy tails?" Percy asked.

     "What's with all the side chats?" Nico asked.

      Annabeth stood up and walked over to her friend, "It's just that we can tell what happens in the end."

     "Ha! That I doubt."

     "You didn't get the role. It went to someone else who tried out."

     "Irregardless..."

     "Not a word."

     "Ever since that day I've had a hatred for musicals. So whoever caused this curse."

     "You know it was Apollo." will said.

     "Yeah" Nico spoke. then he sung, "So Apollo-"     

     "Oh god, I smell a high note. Plug your ears!" Leo ordered

     "Will pay!."

     a near by vase shattered and an Demeter kid exclaimed, "Ay! That was my favorite vase!"

     "come on, lets head to the big house to figure this out." Percy lead.

     all the counselors, Mr. d, and Chiron headed into the big house.

     however while they were planning, Apollo so thoughtfully greeted the camp with his presence where everyone was singing will working.

     "Listen to them sing. I'm bursting at the seams! They're having so much fun! Do you know what this means?" Apollo sang.

     "They're hungry?" asked the strange person next to him that had nice dress pants and a black blazer and white hair, thier name? thier name was canzoni.

     "No, they love me!"

     "Oh, I'm hungry!"

     Apollo pointed canzoni to the amphitheater, "there go get some beans
Stop singing, just go!"

     ben was waking towards his cabin and froze and spoke, "Apollo?"

     "Well, no need to be star-struck! Even though the star is here!" Apollo exclaimed, "Well. I just came by to see how much everyone is loving the musical gift that I've graciously given to camp! So..."

     "I'll sing for the group!" ben exclaimed dragging Apollo towards a group of campers.

     ben began to sing, "We hate it, we hate it. We hate your stupid curse. We're sick of all the singing. And think you're the worst"

     "We're sick of all the singing And think you're the worst!" all the campers joined in

     canzoni appeared right next to Apollo, "That's not what he wanted to hear!"

     "I don't understand! How could anyone not find delight in this musical utopia?"

     "Want an example?" ben asked.

     "Sure."

     "These campers, these kids. They're stuck here in your trance. They wanna climb the wall. But they are forced to dance."

    campers joined in again, "Instead of playing football. we are forced to dance"

     "Well, it's not my fault that some people are boring and don't understand the concept of whimsy!"

     Percy and everyone rushed outside, "Step aside, Apollo!" 
     

     "Enter the heroes!" the campers sang

     Apollo looked up and down, "Well, well, Percy! the seven! So nice of you to show"

     "Sorry, but Apollo, it is time to go." everyone from the big house sang.

     "The heroes tell Apollo that's it's time to go!"

     "That's right." Percy said.

     "Yeah!" Leo agreed.
     

     Percy stormed over to Apollo, "Listen, Apollo, we've all had a wonderful magical sing-songy day."

     Apollo smiled and Nico came over.  

     "Not."

     his smile dropped.

     "That's right, Nico. I was being sarcastic." Percy and Nico circled Apollo with thier swords out, "Nico and I Will decide to not fight you. If you make this curse go away"

     "Hot." Nico added

     Apollo stared at them, "Well...You've stated your case And I'll swear to your face You'll stop singing At eight on the dot."

    Nico was taken back but happy, "Oh, great."

     "Not!"

     "Then you'll be fought." Percy said.

     campers began to sing, "The heroes and the villain couldn't strike a deal. So they are squaring off to fight, like, for real. His arm is drawing back. Here comes the punch attack. One, two, three"

     Percy tried to punch Apollo but it turned into jazz hands.

     "Oh..." Apollo said with fake sympathy.

     "I said..." Percy started

     "Does this happen often?" Apollo asked.

     "I think you know it doesn't!" Percy exclaimed.

     "I got this. Face kick!" Nico exclaimed.

     when Nico tried to kick Apollo however it turned into a single person kicking.

     "Sorry, boys, but you don't have a chance. The only fights in musicals are fights through dance!"

     the campers formed a circle around the fight and sanged, "They cannot hurt apollo 'cause--"

     Nico turned to them, "We got it, we got it!"

     "Sorry."

     "Also, before you try stab me with your perfect looking swords... All weapons in musical theater are props!." Apollo informed.

     Nico and Percy ignore Apollo and try to stab him anyways, their swords bended like foam because, they were!

     "That does it!"

     Percy and Nico threw their swords away and kept trying to fight Apollo as the campers sang, "At this point they know That fighting will not work They'll have to find another way To beat this jerk Apollo set the rules Our heroes look like fools"

     a big giant dance number came, there were turns and leaps and even a nice kickline that turned to Nico and Percy kicking themselves in a place they dont wont to be. Apollo stepped out of the kickline.

     "Listen, I could do This little song and dance all day. But I could use an intermission. Just like on Broadway." Apollo stepped to the other side of camp, "canzoni!"

     "Me?"

     "Catch me!"

     Apollo ran at canzoni and canzoni gracefully lifted him in the air. they both then disappeared from thin air.

     "Exit the villain!" campers sang.

     "Alright, we defeated Apollo and he ran away! 'Cause we defeated him." Percy said.

     "Not true and you know it!" campers pointed at Percy.

     "All right, fine."

time change. . .(15 minutes later (fun fact: thats how long intermissions are in theater.)

same pov. . .

     everyone sat in the big house. Percy, will and Nico were sitting at a table while Leo and Annabeth paced trying to plan.

     "how are they supposed to fight Apollo?" Nico asked skeptical.

     "like this, watch." Percy stood up and walked over to Leo, "hey, Leo, what are you doing right now? Something super smart, I bet."

     "Aw, well," Leo starting singing, "I'm hacking into the mainframe. So we can go find what's-his-name. Using this appliance, science science science. Breaking only one or two laws."

     "It really is impressive, how else can I express it?" Percy sang.

     "Aw! That's why you have Valdez!"

     Leo and Percy put thier shoulders on each rother, "Doodlee-doo."

     "Doodlee-doo?" Nico asked.

     "Yeah, what's with you?" will added

     "The more you compliment 'em, the faster they'll work. Watch. Hey, anna, bet you're pretty close to tracking Apollo down, huh? My little genius."

     "Aw, well, I did a scan of the whole camp The night that everything went down Soon I'll know the source, and after that of course can Show you on the map with a star."

     "Man, you are amazing. Really trailblazing!"

     "I really like your brain dude, truly is insane dude!" will added.

     "And not being sarcastic, your hair looks fantastic!" Nico said.

     "Aw! That's why you have anna."    

     "Doodlee-doo." everyone sang.

     Nico looked at Percy, "Well, how do you know if you compliment them, they'll work faster?"

     Leo and Annabeth both stood up up at the same time. "Done!"

     Percy gave them a smug look, "A-Doodlee-doo"

     "so, how do we stop Apollo?" Nico asked.

     just as Annabeth was about to explain Apollo appeared in the big house.

     "Hey boys! Nice running into you outside. What a show. Exclamation mark!"

     "Mind if I?" Nico asked.

     "Go for it." Percy answered

     "Cool, hey Apollo, not a fan-" 

     "(Yeah!)"

     "So Percy and i-"

     "(Yeah!)"

     "Are gonna find a way to make this curse ka-plop" 

     "(Yeah!)"

     "Hey, dude?" 

     "(Yeah!)"

     "You gotta stop!" 

     "Yeah! Yeah, you know, as I was doing it, it felt kind of annoying."

     Apollo now sang, "Anyway, You tried to punch me yesterday. But Apollo don't play that way
So if you wanna fight, then you'll do it for show. Here's how it's gonna go. 6, 7, 8! Meet me there tonight" Apollo pointed to the amphitheater, "We're gonna have a singing fight. You can bring anyone you know. Out-sing me and the curse will go"

     "Did I hear you wrong? You and us are gonna fight by song?" Percy sanged.

     Apollo nodded, "But you can bring a friend with you. Out-sing me and the curse is through. And we're gonna perform it. It'd be a shame to do it alone Yeah, we're gonna perform it
To the campers at here. Well, well, well, meet me here tonight We're gonna have a singing fight
You can bring anyone you know Out-sing me—"

    canzoni began to vocalize with Apollo.

     "shut up canzoni!- Out-sing me (Yeah) Out-sing me And the curse will go [No, no, no, no] K, thanks, bye!"

     Apollo and canzoni disappeared and everyone stood around.

     "i-I'll be back." Nico said running out of the cabin.

time change. . . (about an hour later. . .)

same pov. . .

     "hey, its almost time to fight Apollo, anyone know where Nico is?" Percy asked.

     "no." will answered.

     just then Jason and Leo ran in the big house followed by Clarisse, Lilly, ben and Travis Stoll.

     "we've got breaking news!" Jason sung exclaimed

     "I'm Leonidas Valdez!"

     Jason sighed, "That's not the breaking news It's about the musical curse we've been captured in. Listen to these people who-"

     "Saw di Angelo as he ran."

    "Just today!"

     Leo dramatically pointed to ben, Lilly, Clarisse, and Travis Stoll, "Take it away, witnesses!"

     "As we were working with campers. We saw the Captain in a mood most dark And we could see that he was trying to flee. He went beyond the camp border!"

     "Woo! Bravo!" Leo exclaimed

     the beat sped up and Jason sung. "Leonidas Valdez, do you know what this means?
Apollo cursed the camp and Nico has fled the scene!"

     "That. does. sound. bad." 

     everyone looked at each other and suddenly Apollo and canzoni appeared back in the big house.

     Apollo began to sung, "I heard a little rumor. Nico has left the campy His timing is a mess I mean, it really is a pity, See, I challenged him to fight with me. By song to end the curse And now he's skipping town. So flaky, the worst Canceling on me is evil and For that, I will not settle So, Nico, if you don't show tonight I'll change the curse To thrash Metal!"

      everyone in the camp began hitting thier heads up and down screaming/singing, "THIS IS THE WORST! THIS IS THE WORST! SO MUCH DARKNESS SO MUCH SADNESS WHY DOES ANYONE LIKE THIS MUSIC?!"

     they stopped singing and Jason grabbed his throat, "Oh, thank god."

     "That was fun!" Leo smiled.

     now at the dinning hall piper, hazel, and Austin were working on lunch as punishment for somthing they did last week"

     "The table's set!" piper sung

      "bring the baguette!" hazel joined

     Austin then joined. "Let's eat while the soup's still wet"

     the three of them sang in harmony, "It's time for lunch. Lunch!"

     all three of them collapsed on the table exhausted, piper looked up at hazel in exaction and sang softly, "Can you pass the salt?"

      "I do not have the strength"

     "This musical exhausts me."

     "I'd go to any length to make it stop"

    piper and hazel sang together, "Make it stop"

     "Oh, pish-posh." Austin said sitting straight up, "If you want to change your mood. Just listen to this dude. As I recall my bygone theater student days"

     piper rolled her eyes, "Oh."

     "During my time at Julliard. I learned things every day."

     "Austin, it was one online class." hazel said.

     "Well, be that as it may One that online schoolyard We'd sing and dance and play And I'll always remember the thing my professor would look at us and say: It doesn't matter if you can sing or if you can't To make yourself smile, just sing for a while About the things you want. how about this? piper, tell me what you want and it'll get them for you."

     piper sat up, "anything?"

     piper stood up on the table dramatically, "i want a pony, a cruise on the Caribbean sea, A new car-"

     "What?"

     "Okay, this is all a bit extravagant" Austin said.

      "Extravagant? That's what I'ma name my pony!"

     "work!" piper and hazel exclaimed hand-fiving each other.

     normally hazel wasnt, but this did seem fun, "oh yeah, I am! You got yourself into this mess, buddy. And it's hazel's turn. I want a purse, a kimono, one that costs a ton. you know, I also want a pony (Right?) So fun! Ooh, an emerald necklace That would take the cake."

     "frank got you one last year!"
     "It was fake. That's what I want Yeah, yeah, yeah That's what I want Kimono, emerald, pony"

     piper joined hazel in the last part, "That's what I want Yeah, yeah, yeah Ask and ye receive That's what I want What, what?"

     Percy was off looking for Nico and he found him at McDonalds, Percy put on a disguise and walked in, "here's your happy meal."

     Nico opened the box and was hit with a dark that made him fall fast asleep. Percy ripped off his disguise and dragged Nico to blackjack.

     "Hey, good news!" Annabeth said, "Percy just sent me a text that says Thumbs up, I got neeks."

     "That's great!" Leo and will exclaimed

     "That's great? Is that all that you guys have to say?"

     will walked over, "Sorry, we just finished our list of singers to come help Percy and Nico song-battle Apollo —"

     "And it is awesome!" Leo joined will at that part

      "Oh, cool. who?"

     "Oh, I think you'll recognize a couple names." Leo said.
     "Yes, a few might ring a bell"

     "Clarise, Thalia, ben, Lilly, Travis and Malcom!"

     "What?"

     "Clarise, Thalia, ben, Lilly, Travis and Malcom!"

     "Well, I know how this is going to go"

     "No!" will exclaimed, "It'll be great, it'll be grand Charlotte, don't you understand? campers love helping us. So applaud your brilliant boys, Leo and William!"

     Leo put his hands on his hips, "So, you gonna clap for us?"

     "No." Annabeth walked away then turned back around, "why dont you just sing with them will?"

     "huh. i guess i could. okay."

     Nico was tied up and blackjack to stop him from escaping. and he was angry

     "Oh, God, please don't tell me that you're about to sing a pump-up song, 'cause it's not gonna work." Nico said as he heard music began to play.

     "remember when you fought Minos bro, You put that ghost to bed."

     "(Please don't do this)"

     "kronos, Gaia and giants! Bro! Get out of your head!"

    "It's just that this cuts me to the core." Nico sang

     "I know. But now's the time to meow it's the time to roar! 'Cause Nico You are the best! (I do appreciate the compliment!) You're Nico And I will not rest 'til I see you try to win, baby Nico We're gonna see How super a hero you can be. you went through Tartarus Bro Just sayin'"

     "I mean it really was insane though Bro, bro, bro i had a went through literally Tartarus."

     "We're gonna win again this time somehow." Percy sang

     "I do have a beautiful voice!"

     "He's gonna hear me meow!"

     "'Cause you're Nico You are the best! (I'm gonna not fight you on that one!)

     just then they reflew into the camp boarder stopping thier amazing bro song. they landed at the amphitheater where will and everyone was waiting. then Apollo and canzoni appeared.

     "Hey camp half-blood, its me Apollo I wanna thank you for performing Your local spotlight of the singing."

     Nico, will and Percy began to sing, "Fight song Fight song This is the fight song This is the fight song This is the fight song There will be fighting in this song .Fighting that is done through song."

     canzoni stepped forwards, "first round, will solace-"

    "Fight song"

      "Little will, let's see. Can you sing as high as me?." Apollo asked

      will sanged as high as he could but he couldnt beat Apollo.

     "This is the fight song."

     canzoni stepped forwards again, "Round 2"

     "Fight song"

     "Nico."

     "Fight song"

     "Well, neeks let's see. Can you sing as long as me?"

     Nico fought to outlast Apollo but he fell to the ground from now air. will helped Nico up and they sang more.

     "This is the fight song."

      "Percy"

     "Okay, let's see. Can you sing as low as me?"

     "Please! My name's peruses, I've got testosterone built into my name." Percy sang really low and turned to Apollo, "Beat that." and he did. "Uh, let me try that again." Percy went so low he ended up cracking, "Don't look at me!"

     "Riffs!"

     "Yeah, yeah"

     "Beat box!"

     "Scat!."

     the three heroes collasped.

     "what are we going to do?" Nico asked, "we cant beat him. i never should've came back!"

     "we need a way to end the musical." Percy said.

     a lightbulb turned on inside wills head, "how do all musical ends? a cheesy finale! it usually starts with the main character who's coming over a big challenge."

     Nico knew what this ment, "no."

     "its the only way." Percy said.

     "fine." Nico stood up and went to the center of the stage.

     "ready to go again already?" Apollo laughed.

     Nico ignored him and stood infront of the whole camp, "Uh...It takes more than one voice to make harmony."

     "Oh no!" canzoni exclaimed

     "We all have a choice for our destiny."

     "He's singing a finale!."

     "So if everyone here would just sing with me. We'd all be free in harmony."

     "Oh my gods That was even more cheesy than I expected." Percy said.

     "It was perfect. That's exactly how musicals end." will replied

     "Why don't we go back to those one-on-one singing battles, huh? Gregorian chant anyone?." canzoni then tried to get Apollo to Gregorian chant but Apollo didnt.


     "No! We all have to join in and sing with Nico." will said

     "Yeah, there is no way I'm singing anything that cheesy." a Ares kid said.

     "I'll sing with you!" Apollo joined in shocking everyone.

     "shut up Apollo!" canzoni snapped     

      "no i will not shut up!" Apollo snapped, "It takes more than one voice to make harmony. We all have a choice for our destiny."

     will and Percy joined Apollo and Nico on stage, "So if everyone here would just sing with me. We'd all be free in harmony."

     Nico turned to Apollo, "Wait! I know that voice Why do I know that voice? Were you once in a musical? A musical about Cats?

     "Was it Cats?" Percy asked

     "Doesn't matter, Perce!"

     "I was, like 80 years ago. How's come?"

     "You were beautiful. Meow, meow"

     "Meow, meow"

     "What the...?" will started

     "Can I sing with you?" Nico asked Apollo

      "Oh, so you'll listen to him just because he's got the voice of an angel? he did this!" Percy exclaimed

     "Meow... I mean, yes. We gotta sing!"
     "It takes more than one voice to make harmony. We all have a choice for our destiny. So if everyone here would just sing with me. We'd all be free in harmony."

     "Make it stop! My plan!" canzoni yelled

     "its working! Everyone! sing along!"

     canzoni let out a large scream then popped out of existence. Apollo collasped and will caught him laying him on the ground.

     "dad, what just happened?"

     "I'm sorry everyone." Apollo said, his eyes watering, "i didnt want to do it. canzoni made me. he said he was going to hurt my kids if i didnt. besides, i love musicals."

     will hugged Apollo, "its okay, canzoni is gone. he cant do anything."

     "i should've caught on sooner!" Nico exclaimed.

     "how would you?" will asked.

     "canzoni means songs in Italian."
