Spoiler: for the fourth book from the pjo series and mark of athena.

plot: ben and nico are training to get stronger, but what happens when something horrible happens?

1st person pov(nico's pov)
     

     Ben asked me to help him with his Skelton training so I told him after lunch I'll help him. So after lunch, we made our way into the forest. We went towards Zeus's fist.

     "You need to focus," I told Ben, "focus on raising skeletons and not passing out."

     "Im trying." Ben said, "it's hard."

     "It's not that hard, it just takes practice, you'll learn. I did." I reassured Ben.

     "Im not you." Ben said sitting on a rock, "what if I never learn? What if I'm always a pathetic weak loser?"

     "Who put that idea in your head?" I asked him.

     "No one." Ben replied, it was obvious he lied.

     "Tell me." I told him, "because whoever said that lied to you Ben, you're learning, you're getting stronger. Way faster than me by the way. You have to believe in yourself." 

     "It was an ares kid," Ben said, " Clarabelle."

     "Well, I'll have to have a talk with miss Clarabelle." I told him.

     "Don't!" Ben exclaimed, "it will only make it worse!"

     "fine." I said, "now get back to training." 

time change...(same pov)

     ben and I have been practicing for two hours now, taking breaks in between of course, when we heard screams coming from camp. ben and I looked at each other then took off running towards the screams, we saw campers from the apollo. ares. and the hermes cabin all fighting, I ran up to my boyfriend, will solace.

     "What is happening?" I asked.

     "I don't know!" will answer, "all of the cabins were hanging out when all of a sudden they started attacking each other! they looked like they were possessed!"

     "eidolons?" ben asked.

     both will and I stared at ben, "what's an eidolon?"

     "Really?" ben asked, he sounded annoyed that we didn't know what he was talking about it, "Eidolons are daemones (spirits) or ghosts that possessed the living."

     "How did you know that?" will asked.

     "I would also like to know that." I told him

     "because I read," ben told me, "and I listen when the seven demigod tells us stuff."

     "I listen!" will exclaimed.

     "I was more talking about nico." ben said.

     "I listen." I told them.

     ben and will were going to argue about what I said but we were torn away from our conversation when we heard leo yelling from across the camp.

     "What are you three doing! why arent you stopping the fight!" leo yelled at us.

     we then suddenly remembered what was happening. will ran towards his sunblings (will makes me call them that) and started talking to them, while I raised some skeletons, ben just stood there, not sure what to do.

     "Raise some skeletons!" I told ben.

     "I'll try!" ben said.

     while ben was struggling to raise skeletons, percy, annabeth, leo, and I all ran to the ares campers to try and get them to calm down.

     I had sent my skeletons to get control of the hermes kids, suddenly all the aphrodite kids ran out of their cabin.

     "they're possessed by eidolons!" piper yelled, "charm speak them."

     suddenly all the aphrodite kids started charm-speaking the campers who were possessed, suddenly ben was able to raise a couple of skeletons to help, but he ended up collapsing.

     "go!" percy told me.

     will and I ran to ben, will picked him up and brought him to the infirmary, will started looking over ben while I ran out to help everyone else.

     after a couple more skeletons being raised and the aprodite kids charm speaking we got the eidolons to swear on the river sticks that they would never come back to camp.

     we don't know how the eidolon's got into camp but we made sure to stay on gaured. I went and checked on ben after the battle, I saw him eating some apples.

     "I did it!" ben exclaimed when he saw me, "I raised skeletons and was able to stay awake for a little bit longer!"

     "I saw." I told him.

    "soon ill be able to stay awake the whole time like you!" ben said.

     "you sure will."

     will let ben leave the infirmary and the three of us went and helped clean up the camp from the battle, we then headed off to dinner and continued with our normal stuff.
