previously on the first attack: nico was walking down new york city when a man, around 6 feet tall with red hair and brown eyes, grabbed nico, nico gets kidnapped but saved by Will, Annabeth, and Percy.

1st person pov (Ben's pov)

I told nico I wanted to leave camp by myself for the afternoon but he refused to let me go alone...

"Why can't I go alone?!" I asked annoyed, "You do it all the time."

"yea, and I get kidnapped!" nico answered, "that's why!"

"I want to go for about an hour, that's all," I told him.

"I'm sorry Ben, but no." nico answered.

"I'm going," I told him.

"no, you're not." nico replied.

"you can't stop me," I said

"Ben, I'm telling you no." nico spoke, "why do you want to go anyways?!"

I looked down, "I want to see my dad."

"Hades?!" nico asked, "why do you want to see him?"

"not hades," I told him, "my other dad, he's in jail and I want to visit him."

"you could've just said that." nico replied, "You still can't go alone but I can go with you."

"I guess..." I said.

"alright," nico replied, "go get ready."

and with that, I ran to get ready.

time change...(same pov) (who do you think Ben's dad is?? hint: you've met him in one of my chapters...)

when I was ready to leave nico told Will where we were going (with my permission) for safety. We then headed into the woods and Shadow traveled to the jail where my dad was.

nico and I headed inside and walked up to the front desk, there was a lady sitting there, she had black hair with green highlights.

"Hello." she greeted.

"I'm here to see Mr. Turner," I told her.

"I let him know, head into the room, number twelve."

"thank you," I said.

change of pov...

1st person pov (Nico's pov)

Ben and I headed into the room the lady told us to, we walked to table twelve and sat down. Ben was fidgeting with his hands and his leg was bouncing up and down.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

"I'm fine," Ben answered, "I just think it's a little weird that you're meeting my dad for the first time while he's in jail."

Ben let out a soft laugh.

"if you don't mind me asking," I started, "why is your dad in jail?"

"he's done a lot of bad things, but recently, he kidnapped someone, along with my mom and two brothers," Ben told me.

"you have more brothers?!" I asked shocked, "How come you never told me this?!"

"they're really annoying, besides, they're my half brothers, they came when my dad married their mom." Ben explained, "They're also twins."

"Are they like the stolls?" I asked concerned.

"yes." Ben answered, "but worse."

"worse?!" I exclaimed quietly.

Ben just nodded his head. then a prisoner was brought in through the doors, I recognized him, he was around 6 feet tall with red hair and brown eyes. when he saw me he smirked at me.

the man was brought to our table and the officer walked away.

"Hi, Dad." Ben greeted.

"you..." I said looking at the man.

Ben turned to me, "You know him?"

"Ben, how do you know this man?" I asked him.

"I told you," Ben answered, "he's my dad."

"Hello, nico di Angelo." the man greeted.

"how do you guys know each other?" Ben asked looking back and forth between each other.

"Ben," I started, "I'm the reason your family's in jail."

first person pov (Nico's pov)

"Ben," I started, "I'm the reason your family's in jail."

Ben stared at me, "What?"

"I'm the one your family kidnapped," I said.

"that's not your fault," Ben told me, "that's theirs."

"Ben," his dad started, "how do you know him?"

"he's my brother," Ben answered.

"aw great," Ben's dad said, "so he was Hades."

"wait what?!" I asked, "Does this mean..."

"how was I born?!" Ben exclaimed.

"If I had to guess," I told him, "probably the way all of Athena's children were born. through the brain, that's how Kayla was born too."

"so I'm a brainchild?!" Ben asked.

"seem like it," I told him.

"I'll have to talk to Dad about that," Ben said.

"so, we done here?" I asked Ben seeing as we were now completely ignoring Ben's other dad.

"yea," Ben answered.

we called the officer over and told him we were done talking to Ben's dad, we then left the jail and went to Mcdonald's for some food.

time change: two weeks later...

1st person pov (Ben's pov)

I decided that today I'm going to go ask my dad, hades not the other one, about me being a brainchild. I shadow-traveled to the underworld and instantly drank Gatorade and ate Cheetos, nico told me that helped him when he used to pass out from shadow-traveling.

"Hey, Dad." I greeted.

"what are you doing here Ben?" hades asked.

"am I a brainchild like Kayla and the Athena kids?" I questioned.

"What?" hades said.

"you know what I said," I told him.

hades facepalmed, "I was hoping you wouldn't find out about that."

"why?" I asked.

"I don't know." hades told me.

"Okay then." I laughed, "Bye."

I then shadow traveled away.

author note: hey yall!! this is the end of the chapter, this might be the last chapter for a while. I'm running out of ideas and someone asked for a squeal to another one of my fanfics so I'm going to try and work on that. I also want to work on more of my other fanfic ideas, so yea, I'm going to leave this story as ongoing still because I have no plans to end this story. bye for now!!!
