"No, you're not, Neeks. It's okay to still love somebo-"

"I don't love Percy. He... He's a liar and a traitor, I tried to trust him again but I can't, Hazel. It'd be wrong..." Nico sighed, sitting next to her in his dorm bed.

"Is this about Bianca?" Hazel asked, taking one of Nico's hands.

He shook his head, "It's about... After. After the war."

Hazel furrowed her eyebrows, "I thought that's when you started trusting him again?"

Nico felt tears brim but he held them back, "No, that's when I started pretending things were okay when they weren't."
