"U-um, Reyna?" Nico hesitantly moved from left foot to right foot.

"Yeah?" she asked, not looking up from her homework because she know eye contact bothers him.

"I-I, um, have something to tell you."

"Go ahead." she beckoned with her hand.

"I g-g-gay."

She shrugged, "Okay."

Nico was shocked. Should he be mad? Should he be assuaged?

"I-I just thought you should know. . ." his voice steadily trailed quieter.

Reyna shrugged again, "Okay, cool, thanks. Hey, do you know the first eight numbers of Pi? I only know 3.14."

Nico flinched. "U-um, no."

She sighed, "'Kay, thanks anyway." She continued working.

Well, Nico thought. I guess I just made it harder than it was. . . He turned around and went back to his room, thinking on how to make coming out to his crush easier. But the boy never makes it easier.
