"Mommy what happened?"

We had all stopped at the sight that greeted us.  The kitchen was a mess, and the cabinet was completely torn off.

"Where's Poppa?" Nolani asked.

"Nolani, Poppa is not coming back."  Mommy said.

"What?!" Neil shouted, he is 14, did I mention? "Poppa is gone?!"

"He left," Mommy sounded sad,"He's not coming back at all, he's left us all."

And in that moment my life fell apart.  My family is so poor.  Poppa was our only hope of survival.

"He couldn't!"  I shouted, and ran back into the living room.

I sat down on my mat and started to cry, Poppa was gone, how would we live?
