A/n: Okay i'm doing the car one this time around. I LOVE car omo and I have more car prompts dw so ill do one with nick as well but for now its charlie
Tbh idk how to characterize charlie's parents so thats why i chose this lmao
For zoehellozoe TYSM!!!
"A spring trip?" Charlie questioned, groaning. "You're leaving me again? How long this time?" He questioned, jutting out his bottom lip in a pout to draw out a laugh from his boyfriend.
Nick did indeed laugh, "it's just five days! Not even a week long! The reason I came over is because my mum actually wanted to know if your parents would be okay with you joining us?"
Charlie paused for a moment, shocked. He'd never gone on a trip with Nick before. He'd never gone anywhere that far away without his parents, either—they probably wouldn't like that idea. But Charlie did. Nick's mom was super nice and fun, and spending time with her and Nick would be awesome, he had to admit, "I would love that, actually. You didn't like, beg her for me to come, did you? I wouldn't want to be in the way. Or, you know. Like, burden her. Especially if this was like, a planned trip for just the two of you, then i'm getting in the way of mother and son time—"
"You're overthinking things, babe!" Nick laughed.
"I think it's called being considerate" Charlie teased.
Nick laughed, "Well, I actually didn't ask my mom at all about you coming. She's the one who suggested it. I'm the one who said we didn't have to bring you, because I know she might try to embarrass me with baby pictures or something. But she insisted that you'd be a good addition. I'd probably be bored without you anyways. Mum has friends where we're going, so she said it's only fair for me to bring someone too. Besides, my mom loves you."
The fact that Nick's mom had thought about him and genuinely wanted him to come really made him happy. He would love to get to know her a little bit more, "I'm cool with coming. I think it would be fun—I just have to get my parent's approval first. But they don't even like me staying the night at your house. They definitely aren't going to let me go on a road trip across the country with you."
Nick sighed, his mood deflating, "Darn, you're right. This is a big ask. But do you think it'd be worth a shot?"
Charlie opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by a voice from across the room, "Yes."
They whipped their heads over, and it was Tori, still in her pajamas, leaning against the door frame with a diet lemonade in her hands. She took a sip from her straw, not breaking eye contact with her brother.
"Tori!" Charlie exclaimed, "don't sneak up on us like that! I have so many questions right now—did you just wake up? Why are you wearing that?"
"It's Saturday" was her simple answer, "eight am, eight pm—what's the difference. I'll wear what I want when I have nothing to do."
"Okay. Well, why do you want me to go on the trip?" He questioned, raising a brow.
She shrugged her shoulders, "it'll get you out of my hair for a week."
Charlie rolled his eyes, "thanks. Well, I guess if Tori thinks it's a good idea, maybe it's worth asking."
She nodded, "besides. You need something like this. You get so bored and lonely, it's honestly pathetic" she joked, "anyways. I approve of Nick. It's like I told you before—he's my favorite. So I trust that his mum can't be half bad either" she turned around to leave, but not before sending a small smile Nick's way.
Nick's eyes widened with surprise. He was utterly speechless for a good five seconds, stuttering around his words before he finally got out, "I'm her what?"
"Oh—Yeah, Tori likes having you around. Says you're the perfect boyfriend for me. What, is that a shocker?" Charlie asked, smirking at the look on Nick's face.
"Um—yes!" Nick cried, "here I was, this whole time, thinking she didn't like me!"
Charlie laughed, "She doesn't give much away, does she?"
Nick ran a hand down his face, "i've been worrying for nothing—for some reason Tori's approval seems more important than your parents."
"The siblings are always scarier" Charlie told him, "because if you break my heart, my parents will hate you. But they can't actually do anything about it."
Nick's eyes widened in shock, "okay, what does that mean?!"
"Tori has her ways" Charlie laughed, "I think it's like that for any family, really, as long as you have a good relationship with your siblings. We would do anything to protect each other. Besides, it would look petty for grown ups to have beef with a teenager. So, being scared of someone our age makes more sense" he said as he stood up, "i'm going to go ask my mum if I can join you guys on your trip now. If she says yes, prepare to help me pack."
"Yes, okay! I'll come be emotional support. And to answer the what where how when and why questions" Nick told him.
"I bet the real reason Tori wants me gone is so she can hang out with Michael alone" Charlie said.
"They're definitely together, right?" Nick questioned.
"She won't disclose any information. But my vote is yes" Charlie told him, "now, let's go ask my mom if I can go. Fingers crossed."

It didn't take as long as Charlie thought it would to convince his mom to let him go. She was apprehensive about it at first—but Charlie had been going out with Nick close to a year now, and their parents had seen each other loads of times, and even became good friends. So, they trusted Sarah quite a lot. His mom was more-so worried about how being that far away from them for that long would affect him—which is fair.
However, his dad had helped ease his mother's worries, saying that Charlie was always trying to get out of the house anyway.
She was reluctant, but she did agree, and even called Nick's mom to discuss some things.
The conversation had went well—or he assumed it did, because here he was two days later, loading his bags up into Ms. Nelson's car on Friday afternoon. Nick was by his side, having just finished locking the house up.
Charlie finished off the energy drink he had been chugging, tossing the empty can into the outside trash can.
"Alright, boys. Let's get this road trip started!" Sarah said, "David will be house sitting, so we can expect to come home to a mess" she joked. Well—she said it in a joking tone. But they all knew there was a lot of truth to that statement, "i'm so glad you could join us, Charlie. I've missed having you around lately. Nick is rather boring" she teased. They climbed into the car, and Nick got in the back with Charlie.
Charlie laughed as his boyfriend scoffed, "i've missed coming over! But my mom wanted me to put more focus on my school work because it was the end of the term."
Sarah nodded along, "I guess it is difficult to multitask. It's good to focus on your work, but it's also good to learn how to balance these things. A few hours of studying, a break to see your friends, or boyfriend—and then maybe a refresher of what you studied in the morning. I never make Nick stay at home just because of work. He would explode" she said.
"Is this bully Nick day?!" He questioned, though his lips were curled into a smile.
"Bullying is needed" Charlie said, "what would I have done without it?"
"You'd probably be mentally stable, at least" Nick joked.
Charlie nodded, "yeah. Or maybe had a decent high school experience."
Sarah looked at them through the read view mirror. She knew Charlie had been bullied pretty severely in the past, but she also knew kids these days made jokes about their trauma to ease the pain. Or to cry out for help. She wasn't sure if she should comment on it, because they were laughing and she knew Charlie didn't like to open up about it anyways—Nick vented a lot.
The road trip continued on very normally from there. Charlie had loads of fun talking to them. The car was filled with laughter and light banter for a long time, but it wasn't too long before Charlie felt a light pressure growing in his bladder. He grew silent, retreating from the conversation as his eyes darted anxiously around the car and then outside his window. There were no signs of rest stops nearby, the road stretching out in front of them with what looked like miles.
As he peered over to Nick, he noticed that his boyfriend didn't look like he needed to use the restroom at all. To be fair, Nick hadn't chugged an entire monster energy drink before leaving. But Charlie had barely gotten any sleep the night before, extremely anxious about the whole road trip. Which, he realized quickly was all pointless worrying because he'd had an amazing time so far.
Sarah's voice cut through the one-sides tension in the car, "everything okay back there, Charlie? You've gone rather quiet."
"Oh, yeah" Nick said, "are you having an energy drink crash out?"
Sarah cut her eyes at Nick, "a what? I swear, you kids come up with new terms every day."
"Energy drinks can only help him for so long before he's left with less energy than he started out with" Nick explained.
"Oh! Well if you're tired you can take a nap" Sarah offered kindly.
Charlie nodded, "thank you...I don't know if i'm actually tired enough to fall asleep" he was pretty tired, but he didn't want to fall asleep. He would just wake up more desperate. He'd rather have it build up gradually than hit him all at once. He didn't even need to go all that bad yet, the problem was that he was anxious about asking for a stop when it was clear that he was the only one in need of it. He didn't want the car to be stopped just for him, and he didn't want to waste any time.
Besides—what if she said no? Asked him to just hold it? What if she got annoyed? Or maybe Nick would start teasing him. There were too many possibilities, too many factors that could go wrong. He wasn't a stranger to bullying, but that didn't mean he was a fan of it. He didn't want to risk having two of the people he cared about most think he was weak, or couldn't hold his bladder for over an hour. He would be fine until someone else needed a stop, he was sure of it.
—————————————————————————-
Charlie shifted in his seat as a pang of urgency swept over him. They'd been in the car for almost two hours now, and Charlie's need only got worse during that time frame. At this point, he couldn't stop shifting around in his seat. Logically, he knew that since it had been two hours, both of the other people in the car probably had to go too, at least a little bit—but obviously, they didn't have baby bladders like Charlie, because there were no outward signs to prove it.
It should have been easy to ask—literally all he had to say was 'Ms Nelson? Do you think we could make a rest stop soon?' It was a simple ask, not an outlandish request. Everyone would have the opportunity to empty their bladders, and they'd be on their way, back on the road in an instant. But for some reason, the thought of speaking up made him feel sick. His mouth clamped shut, and he curled into himself, sinking against his seat.
His knees jiggled and he tapped his foot against the car's floor. He wasn't sure if he could make it until one of the others spoke up—if they ever did. He wasn't sure if they preferred to just hold it until they got there or something, but he didn't think another two hours was possible for him. But speaking up wasn't easy—it never had been for him, at least.
He didn't want to be silent—it was torture. He hated himself for being this way, but it was his nature, he couldn't help it. He'd always been reserved, and especially quiet in public settings after the bullying got really bad. He didn't like speaking up for himself. He didn't like having any attention drawn to him. There was too much room for error—too many possible ways he could make mistakes.
And he was making another mistake right now, by not speaking up. He was going to sit quietly in the back seat, his bladder agonizingly full, just because he was shy. What if he wet himself? Made a mess in Sarah's car? That would not only be humiliating, but she would likely be cross with him for it since he could have just spoken up—he wasn't a toddler!
"Charlie? You alright, babe?" Nick mumbled, nudging him on the shoulder, "you're very quiet and fidgety. Just checking in."
At that moment, realized that he wasn't being all that subtle about his need to go. This was his chance, though. He could tell Nick about it, and maybe encourage him that it was okay to ask for a stop, "I'm fine" he blurted, before tensing his shoulders and adding timidly, "I just uhm, need to pee pretty badly."
"Oh. Okay—that's not a problem" Nick told him gently, before raising his voice, "mum? Can we make a rest stop? Charlie has to wee."
"Nick! Oh my God, why would you tell her?!" Charlie groaned, hiding his face in his hands. That's not at all what he had wanted to happen.
"It's not a big deal!" Sarah laughed, "i'll stop as soon as I find somewhere. You don't need to hold it, sweetheart. I think it'd do all of us some good to get out of the car for a while anyways."
Well, that hadn't been as big of a deal as Charlie thought it would have, but if they didn't get to the rest station in about five minutes he was worried that they may have a mess on their hands. He really had to go, and his bladder was getting more and more impatient as the seconds ticked by. It eventually grew so bad that he had to shamefully jam his hands between his legs to hold himself, leaning forward as he tried to find a more comfortable position for his bladder to rest in.
"Damn, Charlie—how long have you needed to go?" Nick asked, worried. He'd never seen Charlie this uncomfortable before.
"Like—almost two hours?" He cringed as he said it.
"Charlie" Sarah spoke softly, "you didn't have to hold it that long, baby. I would have stopped for you—I always will make a bathroom stop if anybody needs one. I'm sorry you felt like you had to hold it."
Charlie shook his head rapidly, "mm...it's not you, I swear it's my stupid brain. I wanted to speak up but-b-but I just couldn't—and oh my God, i'm so sorry. I'm not gonna make it, I'm—i'm-I—" he began to panic as he felt the fabric of his jeans slowly soak until his hands got wet. He squeezed his legs together tightly to stop the flow, but the dark stain continued to grow and spread across his thighs. Nick watched in absolute shock as his boyfriend pissed himself. He hadn't expected that at all. Neither had Charlie, to be honest.
"It's okay, honey. We're almost there. Don't worry, just five more minutes" Sarah told him, completely unaware that Charlie was pissing full-force into his jeans as she spoke.
Charlie let out a broken sob as Nick spoke up, "Mum, he isn't going to make it. He's going, like—now" he told her, panic lacing his voice as his features scrunched up with worry.
Charlie cut his stream off, holding on the best he could. He felt like he was going to explode. His pants were wet—considerably damp, all over the front. But his backside was still dry, and so was the seat of the car. He held himself tightly, "c-can you just pull over? Like, on the side of the road?" He questioned, his voice high with anxiety. Sarah complied immediately, turning on her blinker to get over to the side. Charlie was unbuckling before the car was even parked, bursting through the door as soon as the car stopped. He tumbled out, falling to his knees into the grass.
That jolt was the straw that broke the camel's back—he couldn't hold it anymore. A burst of warmth flooded his jeans once more, and this time there was no stopping it. He accepted his fate as he cried tears of humiliation and relief. It felt so good to finally let go after all that time, but so embarrassing to know that he was wetting his pants like a toddler in front of his boyfriend, and his boyfriend's mother. He was sure they were watching him. In fact, he heard rustling behind him and a gentle hand on his shoulder. Nick was leaning next to him, talking.
But Charlie couldn't hear what he was saying. Maybe it was words of comfort. He couldn't tell—his ears felt like someone had shoved cotton in them. His vision was blurred from tears, and his throat was dry and clamped up, a lump forming in his throat as he attempted to keep all of his emotions at bay. Eventually, he willed the tears away, closing his eyes and slumping into himself as he felt the last few trickles of pee leave his distended bladder.
He sat there in his mess for a few moments, a puddle of piss surrounding him. The dirt beneath him soaked it up as quickly as it could, but he had pissed faster than it could soak all of it up.
As Nick stood there, watching all of this unfold, he was utterly speechless. He felt so bad for Charlie—and disappointed in himself for finding what was happening oddly hot. It was kind of cute how he sat, collapsed on his knees, overcome with desperation. Giving in to the feeling, making a mess of himself. Nick could explore those disgusting thoughts later—for now, charlie needed him.
He wrapped Charlie in a hug as he helped him stand up. Charlie came back to his senses, repeating the same apology over and over again. Nick shushed him, running a gentle hand through his hair, "shh, shh...babe, it's all okay. It's alright. Nobody's upset with you. I know you're embarrassed, bur it happens to the best of us. Come on, let's get you changed, okay? I'll hold up some towels to hide you while you get into a pair of sweats, yeah?"
Charlie simply nodded, completely and utterly overwhelmed.
As soon as he finished changing, they climbed back into the car. They sat closer together this time, cuddled up in the back seat. Charlie laid his head on Nick's chest, looking down at the floor, ashamed as Sarah talked to him.
"You know Charlie, this isn't a big deal. We don't have to tell anyone about this—besides, I should have scheduled a stop, shame on me if you think about it. I should have been considerate that you may not want to speak up, a lot of people your age wouldn't have either. I know I wouldn't have. I was rather shy—but as you can see now, i've grown to be a talker" she joked. It pulled a smile out of Charlie, and that made her happy, "you can always ask for a stop, alright? It doesn't matter if the trip is ten minutes or ten hours—I will stop for you, honey."
Charlie's smile was shaky as he replied, "Yes. Of course, thank you. I don't...know what I was thinking" he chuckled nervously.
"It's like that sometimes. Happens to the best of us" she told him, "don't let this make you all awkward, either. We can go on with our day like nothing even happened. How's that sound?"
That sounded perfect. Charlie wanted to forget the whole thing already. He knew it would keep him up at night though, probably for the rest of his life, "Sounds amazing" he smiled. After that, they settled into a comfortable silence, until Charlie's phone pinged. He took it out to see he had gotten a text message.
Nick: just between you and me...you looked kind of cute like that.
Charlie blushed, giggling at the message.
Charlie: i'm telling Isaac you have a piss kink
Nick: DONT YOU FUCKING DARE.
