Nice Guys

The following story is a purely fictional piece of work that uses the elements of satirical humor, exaggerated scenes, and candid dialogue for your entertainment. It also mocks and makes fun of the sexist, demeaning, and cliché stereotypes of bad boy themed books on Wattpad.

Viewer discretion is advised.

Summary:

Hakeem Brown and Rashaad Patel were the stereotypical Prince Charmings in every Cinderella remake ever told. Hakeem being a smooth-talking, future neurosurgeon in the making, while Rashaad was bound to be the next George Clooney of Bollywood.

But yet, not every girl in Whitney Hills High School wanted a knight in shining armor these days. Especially their crushes and two of the most popular girls in school: O'Dallas Price and Annisa Abdullah.

So how does one take two of the most unnoticeable, worst dressed, average-looking nobody's in the entire school and turn them into badass Greek gods? Well, you find yourself an actual badass Greek god of course. Otherwise known as Emmanuel "Manny" Lockwood, the most notorious bad boy around.

With risky deals, crazy stunts, and a huge step out of their comfort zones, Hakeem and Rashaad are instantly taken under the wing of the school's greatest troublemaker and learn what it takes to be bad boys in order to win the girls of their dreams.

'Cause after all, who would date a nice guy?

Now before you try to skim through this note, (you think you slick, but I see you), I just want to point out a few little itty-bitty things about the book real quick.

First off, I am not a perfect person. Even though I take AP Language & Composition, I was only born with two eyes, one brain, and so much patience as to reread each chapter over again (and remembering to use spell check). So if you see any mini grammar errors like run-on sentences, commas in the wrong place, etc... I apologize in advance. This is a first draft after all.

Second, I feel like this goes without saying, but please don't copy/steal my book in any way, shape, or form. Fanfictions are fine with my permission, but I've worked really hard writing this story and developing all the characters within it. So you'll just be a loser and a jerk if you even contemplate trying it.

You've been warned.

Lastly, this book does contain some strong language, suggestive content (nothing sexual, but it does get a little steamy from time to time), and I guess what'd be considered "violence" (that is, if you count a food fight as violence). It also tackles emotional and controversial themes such as racism, sexism, bullying, ethical and moral behavior, and many other themes you'll notice as you read the story.

So if you came here looking for your stereotypical bad boy story, just click on the top left corner of your screen. 'Cause shit is about to get real (and hilarious).

Oh and one last-last thing, I finished a good quarter half of this book before I began publishing each chapter on Wattpad, so for my current readers (people reading as I'm posting these chapters), I'll be uploading every 5-6 days until it's done. And as for my future readers (people reading as this book is already completed), I hope you enjoy it and thanks so much for taking time out of your day to read this jumble of words.

I really wanted to create something special and unique on Wattpad because everybody seems to
keep writing the same shit with the same types of characters and I was tired of it. So if you're reading this, I bet you are too.

Appreciate ya.

So in the process of making my book cover, I also created these "character profiles" of everyone that's important to the story so you can get a better grasp of what these people look like. I designed these using multiple apps, editing techniques, and Adobe software.

It's almost like they had a "promo photoshoot" and autographed it themselves, some of them using their "nicknames." I included full names, age, race/ ethnicity, and zodiac signs so the girls will never be confused (y'all know the type of people I'm talking about).

But, I digress, here they are:
