Maids in Holiday: Chapter 2

_CHAPTER 2_

June's POV

I managed to come to the staff room just in time. Yes, I was a maid, working at "Holiday" resort, a small and cozy resort in a small town of England. I had to work here to save money for my study. I came from a country in Asia called Vietnam two years ago. I got a scholarship, but it wasn't enough for college. "The Music Academy" wasn't inexpensive and neither was the life in England.

"Where have you been?" April showed up, asked me with a look full of investigation. She was my best friend and she was English.

"I went for a little guitar" I said. Well, if you had been wondering, my real name wasn't June. My name was Nguyet Anh, but since it was so difficult for everyone to spell my name, April decided to call me "June" as I was born in June. She always said that name would make us more like sister, you know, April and June.

While April was busy complaining about how I kept disappearing mysteriously, I quickly tied my hair up and put on the familiar uniform. It was a blue dress with an apron having the word "Holiday" on it. It looked like the uniform of J.Lo in "Maid in Manhattan", if you had seen it.

"So, how is your song anyway? Any new idea? I still think the part you wrote last week was fine, I didn't understand why you didn't like it." That how April was, always thoughtful and cared about every single detail.

"It was...ummm....great." I awkwardly answered, cursed myself for shuttering

April stared at me for a while, her eyes suspiciously scanned over my face. She was like a detective, with sharp mind and being able to read me like an opened book.

"What?" I asked in defend.

"Did you realize that you blushed when I asked you that question?"

"I didn't." I protested and turned away so April couldn't see my face anymore.

She crossed her arm in front of her chest, raised her eyebrows.

"Now you're turning away so I can't see your face. Don't lie to me, girl. Spit it."

Sometime I just wished April didn't understand me that much. I couldn't hide anything from her, couldn't lie to her even for the small lie. She was walking in my mind, always knew what I was feeling and what I was thinking.

"Okay, Okay. I met a guy. He crossed by when I was playing my song. We talked about some music stuff and that is it. Nothing more."

But that actually wasn't the entire story. I couldn't tell April that "a guy" here was Niall Horan. Yes, Niall Horan from One Direction, could you believe that? The fact that he was in our resort was unbelievable, but the compliment he gave me and the time he spent sitting next to me was more like a dream than reality.

Anyway, I wasn't one of their fans. April was, however, and I knew perfectly that she would force me to meet him again, and again, and again if she found out about our little meet. It wasn't that I didn't find him adorable, or attractive, or charming, or any good adjectives you could think of to describe an Irish boy like Niall Horan, but if he had come to our resort, it meant he needed some rest and some fresh environment. The last thing he wanted was some random girls destroying his quality time.

"Sooo? How is he? Is he handsome? Is he funny? What's his name?" April immediately attacked me with tons of question.

"April, relax. I only met him for thirty minutes. I even forgot to ask his name. Can we just stop talking about him anymore?"

"What? You forgot to ask his name? I can't believe you, June. You met a guy and you seemed like him but didn't bother to ask his NAME? OMG, you must be one in a million. Name is the mosy basic thing, June."

April continued afterwards, talking with the speed of a machine. I quietly listened to her, guilty crawled in my stomach and onto my feeling. Despite that, I told myself that I didn't lie to April. I just...didn't tell the truth.

"April..." I shook my head and stopped her "I just didn't want to...."

"My dad doesn't pay you for chatting and gossip." Before I could finish my sentences, a voice sour like lemon came up behind us.

"Not again!" April rolled her eyes "Why my life is like in High School Musical? Here come the Sharpay."

I turned around and saw a blonde hair girl, with fashion clothes, wearing glasses, as always. She was Tina Harrison, daughter of "Holiday" owner. Every summer, her dad forced her to come here, learn how to run this place and how to be a manager. She was very annoying, with all the bad attitude and the superciliousness.

"Welcome back, Ms. Harrison." I smiled to her. Unlike April, I didn't like messing with her. After all, Tina was the daughter of our boss.

"Ellen wants to meet the two of you in her office. Be hurry, she doesn't like waiting." Tina raised her voice with us before walking away in her high heels.

"I can't understand why you're always nice with that stupid girl." April asked after Tina had gone.

"I just don't mean like you, Grumpy. Now, hurry up, Ellen is waiting for us."

Ellen was our manager. She was very nice, but also very strict. She usually didn't meet any staff in her office. Did we do something wrong already? It was just the beginning of summer job.

Niall's POV

"So, little Nialler, my sweet, kind and wonderful Irish boy?" Louis appeared out of nowhere, sat down next to me with a dramatic smile.

"What do you want, Louis Tomlinson? If this is about me cleaning your room, then I have to say first, there is no way I'll do it." I laughed at him. Louis was trying to make some kind of puppy face with me, but I knew him so well.

We were sitting in the garden of "Banana Zone", that was the name of our very big villa. It was very unique and funny when "Holiday" resort named every villa after fruit. I swore that I had seen Zayn checked if there was any villa called "Avocado Zone".

"I want to know the name of the girl you're thinking about. You know, the girl that you met early this morning." Louis said.

"What girl?"

"The girl makes you smile for nothing since you came back from the resort's restaurant. The girl makes you sit in the garden, in the position near my room, play again and again that melody and wake me up from my beautiful sleep. Louis wants to know her name." Zayn walked out, still wearing his pyjamas and his hair was a mess. Gosh, I totally forgot that the garden was near his room.

"Thank you for showing this weirdo how weird he had been." Louis said and high-fived with Zayn. Did I really act like that this whole morning?

"There is no girl."

"Right." Louis rolled his eyes. "And I have no ass at all. Tell us, kid."

"Don't be silly. I told you, there is no...

"Liar!" Both Lou and Zayn cried out.

"No, really. There is NO GIRL." I tried to be innocent and pretended that I didn't know what they were talking about. Seriously, if they knew about "My guitar girl", they would never leave it alone. Sometime I thought these lads should be in CIA or FBI because they could find out anything just by looking in my face. Wait, or I was the easy-to-read type?

And by the way, I had decided to call her "Guitar Girl" because only when she had walked away did I realize I forgot to ask her name. I was so stupid!

"Should we call Liam and Harry? This is an emergency." Louis showed a face of seriousness which I thought it was absolutely hilarious. "His nose is going to be lenghthen as Pinocchio's nose."

"Yes, we should, Dr. Tomlinson. I suggest we should tickle him until he tell us the truth. Kids don't get to lie, and those who lie will get their punishment."

They started chasing me around the garden and screamed like zombies, followed me steps by steps until they knocked me down of my feet.

"Stop playing, lads." Liam came downstairs with a command voice, saving me from a deep lost. "Lou, clean the ketchup on your face. And Zayn, why on earth are you still wearing your pyjamas? Go upstairs and change. Our maids are coming and I want to have good impression."

"Cool, I always want to have private maids. I can play "Hide and Seek" with them." Louis said in excitement.

"You haven't had private maids before, Lou. And I bet they are too busy cleaning your mess that can't have time to play with you, you naughty kid."

I said and ran away before Lou could catch me. I wondered how the maids were. I seriously needed some other besides these violent, weird and cheeky friends.

A/N: Hope you like it!!!!!! Leave a comment so that I can know how you think about my story. And let's guess who are "The private maids."
