Backstory: Giovanna Florentino was born in an Italian family in Hamilton, Ontario. She started modeling professionally at age 15 and had become well-known around Ontario by the time she was 18. After graduating high school, she moved to Toronto to pursue her modeling career. She has done a variety of photo shoots for magazines in-studio, in her home, and some in exotic locations. When Instagram became popular in the mid-2010s, she started to use the platform more often to promote her modeling. In 2014, she met William Nylander, who had just been drafted onto the Maple Leafs. The pair became very close friends and starting dating in early 2015. In 2018 they became engaged and they married in 2019.
