Yet within the walls bound
Sooth shall be found
One thought to be gone
A foe of dawn
Amidst darkness' flock
Stainless' instrument gifts unlock
At the touch of noon
On the August moon
Stir will purity's scourge
Jewel of all lost in a thawed forge.

"DAD!" VICTORIA GRUMBLED for the hundredth time, begging her father to let her go to battle. She had been pleading for over a week but he always found a way to avoid her either by answering his phone which by the way never rang or he literally locked her out of his office for a whole day.
"Tiger its too dangerous and you are underaged. What kind of leader would I be breaking the law?" her father Reynold said in his 'don't ask again' voice, and she let it go but it wasn't over... at least not yet.
"Or is it because you're ashamed of me?" Victoria regretted it as soon as she said it. She couldn't ignore the fact that this was the fifth time he was not allowing me to go this stupid war against the supernaturals from Blood City. She didn't even know why it was going on in the first place.
"I can tell what you are thinking... and we'll discuss this when I return." Her father said as he walks into the arsenal.
"If you return," she muttered but it was obvious he had heard her. But he just sighed and continued walking.
She had to find a way, even if it meant leaving without her father's permission. She began to walk to her room when she spotted a platinum blond talking to another person.
"Rio!" She called out. The white-haired person turned to look at her, revealing his dazzling smile. He said goodbye to the person he was previously talking. She walks up to him and releases her secret weapon on him- puppy dog eyes.
"No!" He exclaims.
"But I haven't said anything yet,"
"Whatever it is, my answer is still no," he says folding his arms
"I just need you to talk my dad into letting me go to the battle."
"No. I have said no three times already," he says and begins to walk away.
"Rio wait!" Victoria calls, and he turns to face her. "Please! For your best friend in the whole wide world." She says looking deep into the dark black eyes of Rio.
"Fine." Rio finally says, Victoria jumping for joy, causing him to chuckle.

The sound of armor, clanking of swords, packing of quivers, rented the air. The warriors were all busy getting ready for the battle. Victoria heard it was supposed to take place at New Peak valley which was a safe distance from the Aurora's Haven; which was the name of their little town.
Victoria was outside the arsenal with Rio longing to finally go to battle, when her father notices them, and gestures for them to come in.
The arsenal felt different to Victoria. It still looked like the normal reinforced steel wall with barrels and boxes of weaponry arranged everywhere, but she was it in a different way now. She was walking in as a warrior...well that was if her father agreed.
"Hey, daddy-O. I see that you're set to go," Victoria sweet talks her father, signaling Rio to talk.
"Tiger, my answer is still no," He says cupping her face in hand.
"I wasn't going to ask" Victoria lied.
"Really, then why is Rio here?"
"Fine. I was hoping you would reconsider if you heard what Rio had to say." she says, her eyes widening in hope.
"We've been over this, you're all I have left after your mother died. I can't lose you too; I don't think I'll be able to survive it. " Her father said and Victoria swore that she saw Rio glare at her father, but it so quick and wasn't profound.
"Okay dad, I won't ask again,"
"Someone's gotta give me a hug or else I am gonna tear up," he says and pulls her into a bear hug. "I'll miss you my wild tiger" he continues. Victoria loved her dad even though he could be a jerk sometimes. He never got angry at her. She guessed he learned that from her mom.
"You more." She says and releases herself from the bear hug before finally exiting the room.
She doesn't walk far as she stops just a few meters from the door and brings out her phone.
"Fifteen minutes past eight. I still have five minutes before they leave," She says to herself and quickly runs to where all the cars were parked. Getting there, she puts on her mask before entering one of the cars to hide.
"We leave in two minutes!" a voice yelled from outside and she begins to hear marching footsteps. She quickly realizes that all the warriors had gotten into their various cars and the engine began to rev, and before she knows, it started to move.
"I am sorry dad," She says to herself having mixed feelings of guilt and excitement.

They finally arrived at the battleground, and for the first time, Victoria realized that she was actually at a battle, and she started to feel afraid. She had gotten down from the car with her disguise still on. She grabbed a bow, a quiver filled with silver-tipped arrows, and a dagger.
The valley looked like it wasn't very deep, with signs of life everywhere. Several birds and insects moved about the lush vale, searching for food. Hopefully, Victoria wouldn't end up on their menu. There were no trees or a large water source, but only peace in the place; it felt like being on her bed, except ten times better.
Below, the grasses were so tall as if it would rise up and tangle the army and herself. She felt terrible that the battle was going to destroy the serenity that resided in the valle, though there was no turning back. Truly, this place was a fraction of Elysium. The enemy would soon arrive and they would have to combat to the grave.
"Stay on guard, we don't know what to expect from those dogs... I mean werewolves." Victoria heard someone from the far front shout.
Suddenly, a dangerous scent filled the air and Victoria could recognize it very well.
"Werewolves... but they aren't alone, and they are close." she hears and can't help but fill agog... and a little frightened.
The ground began to shake and in no time about five hundred or more werewolves and other paranormal creatures emerged from the other side of the valley like sand in the desert. Victoria spotted some of the warriors in human form, but they looked different - their hands were glowing.
"CHARGE!!!" She heared and they all made a battle cry before running towards the shifted and unshifted enemy combatants.
As both sides clashed, blood and began to scatter everywhere with weapons at alert killing the enemy, arrows flying overhead.
She was finally doing it-finally at the battle. She couldn't say that she didn't feel guilty for disobeying my father, but the feeling that she had was indescribable.
The main reason (or let's just say one of them) she was doing this, was to feel close to her mother. She was a warrior too, but sadly she died in battle. All Victoria wanted, was to be like her-the fighting part and not that of dying.
Many vampires were using their own abilities, though she hadn't gotten hers yet (sucks right).
A werewolf charged at her, but she jumped over it, landing on it's back before she took hold of its neck, and yanked off its head; its blood spilling on her face, some entering her mouth which she spits out. The feeling of that blood on her face felt like...she couldn't explain. It felt like a victory.
Victoria's victorious thoughts are short-lived when another supernatural charges towards her, and she instantly kills it by using her bow to drive an arrow into its skull. She then flings her dagger at another, which sunk deeply into its side.
She did it-she actually killed people. Well, if you think about it that wouldn't a proper thing to think about, but it was. She had yanked off the label she was given - weak, useless, and a disgrace to the vampire bloodline.
"Merompia!" A voice yells from behind Victoria. She ducks just as a blue light flies over her. Unfortunately, it hits another vampire, causing him to explode. She turns around and launches one of her daggers at the witch. The dagger hit her right in the chest, sending her falling to the ground. If she hadn't jumped away in time, She would have been dead. This was not a joke.
Victoria could hear the pharanoic sound of warriors battling, with their cries of protest and anguish, and of arms clanking. The once serene valley, was now a devastated wasteland.
The enemy warriors were coming at her from all sides; there was smoke and dust everywhere. She could smell sweat and blood. She didn't even know which was winning.
Victoria was still fighting another supernatural when her disguise came off but she didn't mind. She was having the time of her life, but as she saw her father, she stopped. He was fighting a werejaguar and had just tore it in half.
He starts looking for his next opponent until his eyes settled on her making him stop in his tracks. He had fear radiating from every part of his brown eyes.
"VICTORIA...behind you!" He yells running towards her but as he almost reached me, a werewolf came out of nowhere jumps on him, sinking its fangs into his neck and it's claws into his chest. Everything slowed down. She didn't know what to react. Many buzzes filled her head.
"NOOOOOO!" She screams, running to him. She falls to her knees as she reached his side, placing his head on her laps. She couldn't hold back the tears. She turned to see that the werewolf was gone.
"Father, I'm very sorry." She cried. "I shouldn't have come. I am an awful daughter."
"No, you're not." He says in a brittle voice. "It was your bond that brought you here. You were meant to be here... it was your fate and this is mine."
"Don't say that. You won't die." Victoria utters in a wobbly voice.
"Don't worry, I'm not scared." He says touching Victoria's face. "You will always be my tiger...my kidemónas." He whispered as his eyes closed and his hands became limp.
Victoria whispered. "Your guardian."
She gives a shout of agony when something pierces her in her arm. She loses all sensation in her body until everything gets blurry till it all goes black.
* * *
Victoria is awoken by the rustling of leaves and her head was spinning.
"What happened? ". She questions herself as all her memories flashed through her brain, and she starts breaking down but is interrupted.
She begins to hear a hissing sound and before her eyes is a serpent. It had a long, squamous black body. It was clearly blind and tracking her by scent. It possessed sharp, fanged teeth that were a green and dripping toxin, that made wherever it fell on, to sizzle. It was obvious that its venom could kill even a vampire. Victoria knew she was going to die, she was going to join her father.
All she could imagine was the snake ripping her stomach into pieces. She didn't know why, but she kept imagining the snake ripping her to pieces ... She tried to remember which organs were down there and assumed that the whatever it hit when it strikes at her would be a vital organ and she would bleed to death. She briefly hoped that she was strong enough that its fangs wouldn't penetrate anything major, but at close range, that was improbable.
"Could this day get any worse?" She cried to herself.
The snake began to move towards her and she tries to get up but she then notices that she was tied and couldn't get loose. The serpent drew closer, rising up and opening its mouth to devour her, so she immediately closes her eyes.
"I'm gonna die!" She kept muttering to herself.
Still waiting to be eaten, she hears a slash and a green liquid splashes on her face, which makes her open her eyes only to see a male werewolf with the not so scary serpent, limp in his mouth which he drops.
He must have been the one that abducted me. She thought to herself.
She looks around for something to use to free herself and fortunately for her, she finds a shard of glass and hides it.
She stares at the ground and then she hears the cracking of bones and she knew he had shifted back but he hadn't dressed. He touches her chin and raises her head so she could see his face. He was blond and slim. He had this vicious but calm look in his blue eyes.
"You're truly a beauty," He speaks as he twirls her red hair around his index finger . "you'll make a nice gift to alpha Marcus," He says and she turns her face away from him.
"Who are you?" Victoria questioned. "How the heck did I get here? And what do you want with me?"
"You're asking too many questions, but as a gentleman, I'll answer them one by one"
"Well get on with it."
"I'm Jason de Vries, I am a member of the werewolf clan of Blood City as you've noticed and I have kidnapped -- girl napped -- you know what I mean," he says as if he had just won a noble prize.
"You better have a good reason for bringing me here," Victoria says as she cuts through the rope.
"Oh! a chippy one I see," he begins. "Well you better listen and do as I say," he says smirking.
"Like that's gonna happen," She says giving him death glares while he just stands there smiling at me.
"We leave very soon"
"To where?"
"Blood city, where I will deliver you and be free," he said as if it was a desire and she didn't understand why. Maybe abducting someone was so much work.
"Not on my watch," she says as she finally cut through the ropes.
She begins to run as fast as she could but unfortunately for me, she trips and couldn't gather enough speed in time.
"That bitch, she's gotten away," Jason says as he shifts into his wolf and goes after her. It was a bit difficult to catch her as she was a vampire. Lucky for him, she trips so he manages to nip her hair. But as he grabs it, she goes all crazy on him and they engage in a fight.
He scratches her face but she heals almost immediately and gives him a body blow which sends him flying into a tree. As he enters the tree, he is immediately held and dragged away.
"Let me go" I boomed while struggling but it comes out as barks.
"Who is there? " he hears the vampire girl yell.
"Help" He manages to silently bark and a gas filled the air which makes everything go blurry till I fall into a deep slumber.

Back at Victoria's home at Aurora's Haven. Rio has just finished his patrol around the town when he finally noticed that he didn't see Victoria in the library as he moved around. He was very worried that what he was thinking had already happened.
"Victoria!" Rio yells as he knocks on Victoria's room door. No one answered, so he kept on knocking until he got fed up and barges into the room, but there was no one there. Her table was tidy but her wardrobe was slightly opened as if it wasn't shut properly.
Rio opens the wardrobe looking for her warrior outfit, but he doesn't see it. His worst fear has become a reality; Victoria snuck out to the battle.
"Brian!," Rio yelled continuously causing a dark-haired guy and some other guys arrived at the door of Victoria's room
"Brian, are there any cars left?" He asked pacing around the room as if calculating a difficult math problem.
"No" Brian answered nervously.
"Horse?"
"We don't use horses, Rio. Why?"
"Because Victoria snuck out with the other warriors to go battle," he says
"How?" One of the guys asks
"If I knew, I won't be worried, would I?" He says with complete annoyance dripping from his tongue.
"Sorry." The guy apologizes but Rio barely pays attention.
"We'll have to go on foot. Get your things, we leave in ten minutes." Rio says stomping out of the room, the others following.
* * *
"Who is there?" Victoria yells.
"Looks like that Jason guy is gone," she says still trying to catch my breath.
"Now time to find the way out, and that would be?" she asks herself turning around trying to navigate her way out.
"I guess I'll have to get to higher ground," She says and begins running
While running, she begins to hear high pitched sounds that she couldn't understand. She sees two green creatures and out of instincts follow them.
"Excuse me,"
"Hello, can you hear me?"
The creatures look back at her and then disappear. Victoria begins to run away out of fear and while running she is welcomed by a cloud of gas that made her feel dizzy but she continued to run. Suddenly she falls down and goes into a deep sleep.
