The second leg of Billie's tour had wrapped up, and she was finally home for a brief break. Thanksgiving was just around the corner, and though her family would celebrate with a vegan feast, the event she most looked forward to was Zaine's fifth birthday. Mars had taken Zaine to Brazil for the celebration, giving him the chance to meet Vera and Mars's father for the first time. Billie had stayed behind, her mind heavy with the news she hadn't yet shared.

She was pregnant.

It wasn't just a gnawing suspicion anymore—it was real, confirmed by the ultrasound photo tucked inside her jacket pocket. Telling Mars had been one thing, but telling her family and friends was another entirely. Billie hadn't told anyone yet, wanting to gather her thoughts before facing the whirlwind of emotions she knew would follow.

That afternoon, as the autumn sunlight spilled through the windows of her family's house, Billie sat quietly, watching her dad at the piano. He was playing something soft and familiar, humming to himself as his fingers glided over the keys. She loved moments like this—quiet, intimate, and safe. This was the place she needed to be to say the words aloud.

She shifted in her seat, nerves prickling at the back of her mind. Her dad looked over at her, smiling warmly.

"Hey, babygirl."

"Hi, Dad," Billie whispered, scooting closer on the bench. She fiddled with the sleeve of her sweater, taking a deep breath. "Um... let's say that hypothetically, I did something life-changing, right? How would you react to that?"

Her dad stopped playing and turned to her, his brow furrowing slightly but still soft with affection. "Depends on how life-changing, sweetheart."

Billie's heart pounded in her chest as she slipped the ultrasound photo from her pocket and carefully placed it in his hand. "Baby life-changing."

Her dad looked down at the picture, his fingers tracing the grainy black-and-white image. He blinked a few times, processing what he was seeing. Then, slowly, he looked back at Billie, his eyes wide with surprise.

"Are you...?" He trailed off, a mixture of wonder and disbelief in his voice.

Billie bit her lip, nodding. "Yeah. I am."

For a moment, her dad just stared at the photo, his thumb brushing over the tiny outline on the screen. Then, a slow smile spread across his face, and his eyes softened with emotion.

"Oh, Billie." He pulled her into a tight hug, holding her like he had when she was a little girl. "That's... that's incredible, sweetheart."

Billie let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding, melting into her dad's embrace. "I was so scared to tell you," she admitted, her voice muffled against his shoulder.

He kissed the top of her head. "You don't ever have to be scared to tell me anything, baby. I'm proud of you, no matter what."

They sat there like that for a while, her dad gently rocking her back and forth as she let the weight of the moment settle. When they finally pulled apart, her dad glanced at the photo again and smiled.

"So... does this mean I get to be a grandpa?" he asked, a playful twinkle in his eye.

Billie laughed, wiping her eyes. "Yeah, it does."

Later that day, Billie knew it was time to tell the rest of her family. Thanksgiving was just two days away, and if she didn't say something soon, someone was bound to find out on their own. She gathered her mom, Finneas, and a few close friends—Alex, Zoe, and Quen—into the living room. They all sat around, chatting and catching up, unaware that Billie's heart was racing.

Her mom was the first to notice something was off. "You okay, baby?" she asked, leaning in closer.

Billie took a deep breath, glancing around at the people she loved most. This was it. No going back now.

"I need to tell you all something," she began, her voice shaky but determined. "I... I'm pregnant."

The room fell silent for a beat, and then everything happened at once.

"Wait—what?" Finneas blurted, his eyes wide in disbelief.

"You're pregnant?" Zoe gasped, covering her mouth with her hands.

Her mom looked at Billie, her expression unreadable for a moment. And then, tears welled up in her eyes. "Oh, Billie," she whispered, pulling her daughter into a tight hug. "I'm so happy for you."

Billie clung to her mom, relief washing over her. "Thank you, Mom."

Finneas still looked stunned. "Holy shit," he muttered, running a hand through his hair. "I mean, wow. Congratulations, Bill. That's... big."

Alex leaned forward, grinning. "Does Mars know?"

Billie nodded. "Yeah, she knows. She's... she's scared too, but we're figuring it out."

Quen laughed softly. "I can't believe it. Billie Eilish, a mom. That's wild."

Billie smiled, a little more confident now that the truth was out. "Yeah, it is."

Her mom wiped her eyes and took Billie's hand. "Whatever you need, baby. We're here for you. All of us."

The warmth in the room was overwhelming. Billie felt loved, supported, and—for the first time in weeks—hopeful. She knew there would be challenges ahead, but at least now, she wouldn't have to face them alone.

That weekend, Billie FaceTimed Mars from the comfort of her childhood bedroom. Zaine's birthday celebration in Brazil had gone off without a hitch, and she could hear the little boy's excited voice in the background as Mars answered the call.

"Hey, mama," Mars greeted, her voice warm and soft. "How's everything?"

Billie smiled at the sight of Mars on the screen, her curly hair tousled from playing with Zaine all day. "Hey, baby. I told my family today."

Mars raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? How'd that go?"

Billie grinned. "It went... surprisingly well. They're excited. And supportive."

Mars's face softened with relief. "That's good to hear. I knew they would be."

In the background, Zaine's voice called out, "dada, come play!"

Mars chuckled. "Sounds like I'm being summoned." She looked back at Billie, her gaze tender. "I love you. And I can't wait to get back so we can figure all this out together."

"I love you too," Billie whispered. "Tell Zaine I said happy birthday, okay?"

"Will do. Talk soon, my love."
