Also, this is really short but I just wanted to update for all of you.

The Avengers sat in the Quinjet on their way to Sokovia, a tense silence surrounding them. The Hydra base brought back bad memories for all of them, but especially for the Maximoff twins. This was the start of what could've been a long path of poor life choices, the place where Wanda manipulated Tony into creating Ultron, the place where they were tortured and experimented on, enhancing their natural mutant powers.

Wanda clenched her hands in her lap, glaring at her feet. Pietro noticed the tension in his twin and wrapped an arm around her, kissing the side of her head as he murmured in her ear. "It will be okay, sestra."

"Will it though?" Wanda sighed, leaning into Pietro's touch. "This is the place that created us and now they are back at it with more of our people. I can't help but feel as if - "

"It is not our fault, Wands. Don't even say that." Pietro whispered firmly. "How could we have known that they would continue their experimentations? Or that we didn't completely wipe them out?"

"We could've been more thorough." Wanda's hands fidgeted in her lap as she looked back up at her brother.  "We could've -"

"We could've done a lot of things, but we didn't, and now we have to live with the reality we created. We will help whoever those monsters have captive." Pietro assured his sister. "That is what we will do."

Wanda nodded, resting her head on Pietro's shoulder, closing her eyes. She had to mentally prepare herself for the harrowing task at hand. Facing her captors and abusers once more. 

Could she handle it? Or would she lose control?

"Alright Avengers, we are here." Captain America announced as the Quinjet landed in the woods surrounding the imposing Hydra base. "Everyone know the plan?"

"Yes, Cap, we've gone over it at least four times." Quicksilver muttered. "I think we've got it down pat."

Captain America gave the young speedster a look before staring at his team. "We get inside and we have a look around. If that was telekinetic abilities we saw on the video, then they have some big guns with them."

"Luckily, so do we." Iron Man replied, nodding at Scarlet Witch and Vision. "Of course, we would have bigger guns if Thor was with us, but now isn't the time to think about that."

"Avengers, let's get to it." Captain America led the charge off the plane, everyone but Banner making their way towards the Hydra base. Bruce was staying behind to run the coms. 

The Avengers made their way through the woods towards the Hydra base, keeping radio silence as they did so as to not alert the enemy incase they were scanning for opposing communication signals. 

They got to the edge of the clearing and spread out along the tree line, hiding in the trees and bushes. The Avengers looked to Captain America for leadership and the star spangled man nodded, leading the way to edge of the base. Once there he looked to Vision who density shifted through the wall. A quick fight was heard before the door was opened and Vision stood there, beckoning the Avengers into the courtyard. 

They followed the synthezoid into the courtyard, all exchanging looks before splitting off, heading through different doors into the Hydra base.  Quicksilver went with Scarlet Witch into one door, keeping pace with his sister as she scanned the area mentally.

"I am not picking up many minds here." She mumbled to her brother. "It is low staff, which is odd."

"Yeah, you'd think they'd increase staff, especially if they do have a telekinetic around." Quicksilver muttered. "Boy, have they changed since we were here."

Scarlet Witch didn't reply, instead stopping in her tracks. She grabbed her brother and levitated both of them up onto the catwalk that run above them, hushing her brother as he went to speak. She pointed down to the space below where a moment later, what seemed like two teen boys walked by, pushing a gurney with a suspicious lump under a blanket on it.

"Man, this poor sucker never stood a chance, eh?" The one pushing the gurney said to the other, who hummed in response. "You alright? You have been very...silent."

The one not pushing the gurney froze in his place, going rigid. "We are not alone, brother." Nodding to his companion, his hands sparked with blue energy at the same moment his pal disappeared in a flash.

"Pietro - " Scarlet Witch was cut off by a swooshing motion knocking her off guard. She blinked and she was no longer on the catwalk but on the floor below, kneeling next to her brother before the two teen boys who up close look eerily familiar. Using her hex to activate her distress signal, Scarlet Witch addressed the two teens. "I see Hydra is back at it with experimenting on Sokovian citizens."

The boy with white hair laughed. "Hardly."

Scarlet Witch furrowed her brow. "Tell me then, where have I seen you two before if not Novi Grad?"

"Have you tried the mirror?" The white haired one smirked. Scarlet Witch stayed silent, confusion running through her. "Oh, I see. The great and wonderful Wanda Maximoff is having trouble putting two and two together. Well, let me help you, okay?"

"Brother." The white haired one turned to the brunette, who shook his head. "We do not have time for games. The Witch alerted the rest of the Avengers of our position. We need to leave. Now."

Quicksilver snorted. "Like we are going to let that happen."

The brunette stared blankly at the twins. "You will."

"Like hell - "

The brunette's eyes started to glow light blue. "Sleep."

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch passed out instantly, the last thing they saw was the smirking face of the white haired teen and the cold look on the brunettes as he watched their heads bounce off the concrete.
