I am hyped for this story's direction.

"You want to do what?" Tommy asked, a brow arched as he stared at the Avengers, everyone gathered in the lab. "Do you really think that is a smart idea?"

The brothers were changed out of their Wiccan and Speed outfits, now in SHIELD sweat suits, sitting on lab benches while the majority of the Avengers stood around them, Bruce and Tony setting up the equipment for the testing. 

Rhodey looked to the other Avengers, deciding to answer for them. "We don't really have any other choice. Vision could only see part of your abilities when he connected with Hydra's servers back in Sokovia. We need to take the power dampeners off to see the full extent of your powers."

Billy and Tommy exchanged a look. "And you trust us not to take you all down and leave?"

"No." Sam scoffed, gesturing to Wanda. "We trust her to keep you two in line."

The twins eyes went to Wanda, boring into her. She stared back, using the look her mother would use on her and Pietro when they were being defiant. The boys looked away. 

"Alright, we're ready." Bruce announced, him and Tony having finished setting up the lab equipment.

Pietro glanced at his sister as he approached the two brothers with the key to the dampening cuffs. Wanda sent him a nod. Pietro turned back to the twins. "I am taking the cuffs off now. Try any funny business and it won't end well."

Tommy snorted. "For us or for you?" Pietro ignored him.

The cuffs fell off, the brothers breathing easier. 

Bruce approached the twins, attaching electrodes to their bodies. "This is to monitor your internal systems as you use your powers to get a sense of how they work."

"Yes, we know. This is not our first time being lab rats." Billy snarled. "Hydra made sure of that."

Wanda and Pietro flinched. Tony and Bruce were all business, however, and continued on with the tests. "Alright, Speed, let's start with you. Vision says your powers are similar to Quicksilver. Is that true?"

Tommy smirked. "I - " He disappeared in a blur, the tablet in Bruce's hand along with him. " - don't  - " Sam's goggles disappeared from his head. " - know - " Bruce's tablet was placed in Wanda's hand. " - you - " Sam's goggles were placed on Rhodey. " -tell - " Tommy stopped next Billy, not a hair out of place, all of it having gone down in a fraction of a second. "- me."

Billy rolled his eyes. "You could have just answered the question." 

"Yes, but a demonstration is much cooler." Tommy stuck his tongue out. 

"Speed." Bruce took the tablet from Wanda, typing on it for a moment. "Can you do anything else?" The white haired teen nodded. "What else can you do?"

"I can cause explosions by generating hyper-kinetic vibrations, which I doubt you want me to show you in your precious lab." Tommy chuckled. "I can also make myself intangible enough to walk through solid objects."

"Show us." Tony demanded.

"Yes, sir." Tommy spoke mockingly, vibrating his molecules until he was intangible. He then walked through the table Billy was still sitting on. After he re-stabilized himself, he looked at the gathering of Avengers. "See?"

Tony and Bruce looked at one another. "Anything else?"

Tommy nodded. "Yeah, I can also lift a literal ton with both my upper and lower body."

Bruce and Tony took down a couple of notes, stating that they needed to test further outside in a safer environment or in the training area. Turning to the second twin, Billy got the hint. He hopped off the table. "My turn?" Tony nodded. "Alright. What do you want to see first?"

"Vision told us your powers were...complex." Bruce spoke delicately. "What does he mean by that?"

Billy looked to Tommy, who shrugged. Billy sighed. "My powers...they are  complex."

"Explain." Tony commanded.

"How about I demonstrate?" Billy didn't wait for an answer as his eyes started to glow light blue. "I want Bruce Banner and Tony Stark to switch bodies."

Tommy's eyes widened. "Wiccan - "

"What? I know you were tired of them bossing us around," Billy shrugged. 

Pietro snorted. "Like that even did anything." Wanda raised a hand to stop her brother from talking. "What is it?"

"I...I sense a change." She turned to Bruce. "Stark?"

'Bruce' glared at Billy. "Kid, I don't know how you did it, but you better put me back in my body before Pepper gets home tonight or she will have a fit."

Natasha shrugged. "Doesn't prove anything."

Wanda sighed. "Stark, tell me the vision I showed you back in Sokovia, when I was with Hydra."

'Bruce' answered. "The Avengers, all dead. And it was my fault. I could've prevented it if I had built...a good Ultron."

Wanda turned to look at the rest of the Avengers with a satisfied look before looking at Billy. "Okay, switch them back."

"I want Bruce Banner and Tony Stark in their right bodies."

"Ah, much better." Tony sighed in relief before glaring at Billy. "Kid, what was  that?"

Tommy answered for his twin. "My brother can warp and change reality to his will simply by speaking it into existence."

Pietro scoffed. "Yeah, right."

Billy smirked. "Pietro Maximoff is in dimension sixteen."

"Wiccan!" Tommy scolded as Pietro disappeared from view. "Bring him back here."

"Ugh, fine." Billy sighed. "Pietro Maximoff is back in dimension six sixteen."

Pietro reappeared with a crab hanging off his arm. He shook the animal off, the crab scuttling away into the lab. The speedster stared at Billy with fury in his eyes. "You little twerp."

Bruce stepped between them. "Quicksilver, we need more data. Let us collect it." Pietro grumbled, but agreed. Bruce turned back to the twins. "Alright, Wiccan, is that all you can do?"

Billy chuckled. "No. I can teleport, fly, control some elements, heal, transmutate, I am telekinetic, telepathic, and clarivoiyant."

The Avengers exchanged a look, Natasha speaking up. "Well, boys, I think Dr. Banner and Tony have got what they were looking for, for now."

Billy and Tommy nodded. "So what happens to us?"

Before any of the Avengers could reply, Steve strolled into the room, being the only one absent from the testing. He slammed a photograph down on the table next to the twins, a frown on his face. "You two explain this."
