chapter one
I love Wanda Maximoff. She my baby. Same with Billy Kaplan. I love he.
Wanda Maximoff sensed the mortal danger her twin was in and left her post at the center of the church. She propelled her self using her hex powers to send herself flying to her brother's side just in time, landing in front of him and the hail of bullets. She flung her hands up and created a force field, protecting her twin, Clint Barton, the civilian child, and herself from Ultron's attack.
Once the bullets stopped flying at them, she turned to her brother. "What the hell were you thinking, Pietro? You easily could've picked up Barton and the child and gotten them to safety! No need for the sacrifice play."
"Sorry, sestra."
"You should be sorry, you numbskull! Just get Barton and the child to the air craft, and don't die, okay?"
Pietro kissed Wanda's cheek. "I won't, I promise."
"Maximoff, get back to the church." Natasha Romanoff called through the comms.
Wanda squeezed Pietro's hand, giving him a pointed look before flying off back towards the church.

The Avengers and the Maximoff twins were standing on the helicarrier, watching as Wanda, Tony, and Vision lowered Sokovia as gently as they could back to the ground, avoiding a huge disaster. Vision destroyed the final Ultron bot just as the press bombarded them.
"Captain America! Captain America! Who are the three newbies?"
Steve Rogers looked to the twins and Vision. Vision stepped forward. "I am the Vision. I am a synthezoid."
As the press jumped all over Vision, the rest of the Avengers pulled the twins away from the attention. Clint looked at them. "You two saved my life. As far as I'm concerned, you are honorary Avengers."
Steve smiled at them. "How would you like to make it official?"
Pietro and Wanda looked at each other, smiling slightly. "I think we would like that very much."

"Strucker, sir, it seems we have lost the Maximoff twins to the side of the Avengers. There doesn't seem to be any hope of getting them back to our side."
"Do not worry about them. We got everything we needed from the twins and they had no knowledge of Project Next Gen., so we needn't worry. Their replacements are coming along nicely, wouldn't you say?"
"...yes sir."

Two years later...
Wanda Maximoff was sitting in the lounge room of the Avenger's complex, a cup of tea floating next to her in her red mist as she read a book. Natasha Romanoff was sitting on the couch a few feet away from Wanda on her laptop, typing rapidly. Bruce Banner was in the kitchen area that was attached to the lounge, talking with Tony Stark about their latest scientific endeavor while boiling a kettle for more tea, Vision standing off to the side nodding every now and then. Sam Wilson entered the room with Steve Rogers, talking about possible training techniques. James Rhodes stood on the balcony on his phone.
A flash of silver ran through the room, materializing as Pietro Maximoff on the couch. He turned the television on, ignoring Tony's quip about not using powers inside. Pietro looked around, wrinkling his nose in confusion. "Where is the old man?"
"Clint is at his farm with his family." Wanda replied, not looking up from her book.
"And Thor?"
"Off world, I believe." Wanda took a sip of her tea. "Anymore questions or can I continue to read without interruption?"
"You're good, sestra." Pietro hummed, looking back at the television, flipping through the channels.
It was quiet for a while, the low murmuring of Tony and Bruce's voices could be heard under the sound of the television but other than that it was serene.
After about forty minutes of the Avengers sitting in peace Natasha reached over and grabbed the remote from Pietro, earning a whine from the speedster but no retaliation. He knew better, especially after the bruised trachea from the last time he crossed Nat.
Natasha changed the television input, sharing her laptop screen with the television. The rest of the Avengers fell silent and paid attention when they saw the Hydra facility they raided years ago on screen. Wanda and Pietro went rigged.
"Widow, what's this?" Wanda hissed out coldly, glaring at the screen as she closed her book.
"This, Wanda, is the Hyd-"
Pietro cut Natasha off, risking life and limb in doing so. "We know that, Natasha. But why are we looking at it? Why bring up such terrible memories for us all?"
Natasha sighed, typing on her laptop for a moment before speaking to her team. "The facility was thought to be inactive after our raid. That, however, was proven inaccurate after surveillance caught this."
"Wait, when did you install surveillance?" Tony asked, sitting down next to the spy and leaning forward on his knees.
"When we raided the place." Natasha smirked, starting the video.
On the screen the building stood imposingly in the mountains, the sky clear around the base. Without warning, the air around the base seemed to come alive, crackling with blue energy. The base began to shake violently, encased in the glow of the blue energy as it swirled around the mountains. The rocks on the side of the mountain became loose and began to fall down the side of the slope, down into the valley below. Then, just as suddenly and unexpectedly as it began, it stopped, the blue energy dispersing into thin air and the building stilling as if nothing happened.
"Nat, what was that?" Bruce asked. "What did we just see?"
"I believe, Doctor Banner, based on the energy readings from the video that we just witnessed a display of telekinetic abilities, similar to those of Miss Maximoff's." Vision answered, floating closer into the room. "Less refined, however, than Miss Maximoff's."
"Are you...are you implying that there are more people like me and my brother?" Wanda asked, eyes narrowing slightly in disbelief and skepticism.
"I am not implying anything. I am stating an observation." Vision clarified.
"Well, if there are more people like the twins, there is only one way to find out." Steve looked at each of the Avengers. "Get your gear, we're heading to Europe."
"What about Thor and Clint?" Pietro asked, standing up from the couch.
"We can handle this ourselves. If they comeback while we're gone, well, we'll leave a note for them." Steve chuckled. "Now, let's go. Wheels up in thirty minutes. The faster we get there, the faster we can handle this situation."
"You mean take out a potential threat to world safety." Wanda mumbled.
"If that's the case, witchy, so be it." Tony shrugged, walking out of the room towards his workshop. "Now come on, you heard the captain. Wheels up in thirty."
