It was my third week in the Glade, my job was a builder. Most of the Gladers, especially Gally disagreed with me being a builder because I am a girl, actually everyone was against it except for my friends; Thomas, Newt, Minho, and Teresa.

It was a LONG day! Gally made me work extra late and build a huge building for the Med-jacks since the last one is full. (Just pretend....thanks!) I set my work tools down on a old tree stump and wiped the sweat off my forehead. Not only did I have to work late but it was one of the hottest days yet and it was Birthday! Newt and Alby decided to make the day you showed up in the Glade your new Birthday where the other Gladers would throw a little party/ bonfire like they do when a Greenie (?) shows up.

I decided to go find Newt, Thomas, Minho, and Teresa. Walking back to the middle of the Glade I see a faint light...it looks like a fire. Maybe it's my imagination or someone found something that will help us out of here, I know that they forgot about my Birthday so it's not that. I walked up to the fire and sat beside Newt and Thomas.

"Hey guys! What's all this for?" I ask. I now notice that there are some lanterns hung on string and the fire was beautiful, more so than other times.

"You'll see." Newt said with a smirk, I just rolled my eyes at him and looked back at the fire. A few minutes passed before Thomas, Newt, Minho, and Teresa all stood up, getting the other Gladers attention.

"Today is a VERY special day as some of you may already know, it's the day that my best friend in the whole world, well that I know of anyway" some of the Gladers laughed "it's the day I met (Y/N). She has been here for me when nobody else was and we helped each other through........womanly problems." Everyone laughed at Teresa's comment this time and I blushed in embarrassment.

"We would like to wish her a Happy Birthday, even if you can't spend it with your real family we hope that you will still be happy to spend it with us?" Newt said, a tear slid down my face. I got up and hugged them all.

"I would love to spend my Birthday with you guys. Oh, by the way, you guys ARE my family, maybe not by blood but you have been there for me and love me like a family should. I love you all so much and I would never ask for anybody else to spend this day with." I said, now crying like a baby.

"WE LOVE YOU TOO!" Yelled the Gladers making laugh and cry at the same time. We spent the night playing games and talking, forgetting about everything that could happen.

"(Y/N) could I talk to you alone for a second?" Newt asked, I nodded and stood up. We walked all the way to the tree where we first met each other. "I have no other way to say this and I need to tell you before I lose the courage to do it. Ever since you came up in that box and I helped you out I have loved you, your hair, body, personality, kind heart, determined, lovable self. I wouldn't change anything about you even if I had the chance, you can't change something that is so perfect. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I love you, will you be my girlfriend?" Newt asked, looking into my eyes and holding my hands.

"Newt that is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. Of course I will go out with you, I love you too." I said before giving him a soft yet passionate kiss on the lips. From that day on we were a couple, yes we had ups and downs but we loved each other.

I am super excited..... going to see the Fast N' Furious cars tomorrow and meet Peyton List. I think told you guys already? Oh well, haha.
