1. after a long and exhausting day, person a finds themselves unable to sleep, too worked up to get their mind to shut off. this leads to late night thoughts they can't shake, turning to person b who is trying to sleep, almost successful until person a speaks.

2. after going out with some friends, person a ends up sick with a horrible cold. with their congested and miserable partner, person b feels terrible and calls into work so they can stay home and help nurse their sick lover.

3. for person b's birthday, person a is orchestrating a huge surprise party, however in order to keep person b from finding out, person a keeps them occupied by running around on the day of so that their friends and family can start setting everything up at him. however, with the obvious distractions and errands, person b thinks that their partner forgot about their birthday.
