The world is in grayscale, a colorless place until you turn 18. On someone's 18th birthday, they see a color, only one, single color that their soulmate will also be able to see once they're 18.
Person A is dating Person C. Neither of the two have shared what the other's color is, mostly because A's 18th birthday was coming up and it just... Never really came up, anyway.
Then, the fateful day comes. Person A's birthday. They're so excited to tell Person C that they can see the same color! But, when Person C shows up to A's birthday party with a colorless flower in their hand, A's heart drops.
They didn't see the same color...
