Back on the topic of headcanons.
Here are some nice Blush headcanons for you before I rip your heart out :)

- Mush fell first.
- it was subtle, so he didn't know at first

- and then Blink started flirting with him

- he definitely knew after that

- Blink fell for Mush about a month after Mush fell for him

- the signs that Mush liked him started to become more obvious
- staring
- blushing
- laughing at anything Blink thought was funny
- sometimes even trying to avoid him

- once Blink figured out Mush' crush
- he started flirting with him a lot more

- subtle gestures
- "Your hands look so soft. Can I hold them?"
- "My hand feels empty without yours in it."
- calling him 'Beautiful'
- sometimes buying some of his papes for him

- Mush didn't catch on as quickly as you would think he did
- and it drove Blink insane

- it went to the point where Blink grabbed Mush by the collar of his shirt after selling one day

- and then Blink cupped his face with his hands

- Mush realized really quickly what was going on

- Blink looked hesitant
- even though he really wanted to kiss the cute boy in front of him.

- so Mush kissed him

- he decided he was taking too long

- Blink was a bit shocked
- and he quickly melted into the kiss
- and then fell to the ground because his knees gave out

- Blink laid on the ground
- bright red
- Mush giggled a bit as he looked at him

- and then they're dating

- Blink is definitely protective of Mush
- and he really hates it when Mush flirts with girls
- and when others (boys included) flirt with him

- Mush doesn't mind
- he just keeps in mind that he's dating Blink and that when he gets back to the Lodge, he can cuddle or kiss Blink as much as he wants (if Blink consents of course)
- they both know he only flirts to sell papes

- Mush constantly loses his clothes
- Blink is more than happy to let him borrow his clothes
- and then Mush is bright red for most of the day
- and Blink likes teasing him

- they're probably the most clingy couple out of all of the Newsies

- Blink always has his arms around Mush's waist
- Mush holds his hands
- plays with Blink's hair and Blink plays with his
- legs are literally entangled when sleeping
- and Blink's arms are still around Mush's waist
- Mush has his arms around Blink's neck
- Mush sits on Blink's lap

- they're literally always touching

- it's almost painfully obvious that they're in a relationship

- as Race says,
- and I quote,
- "You guys make people who aren't single feel single."

- Blink loves seeing Mush excited

- he thinks it's adorable

- When Blink gets hurt,
- Mush gets all overprotective
- (Blink thinks it's really cute)
- he makes him stay in bed, sells papes quickly so he can stay with him, and helps take care of him

- When Mush gets hurt,
- Blink literally holds him till he's healed
- and after that
- Mush is usually sleeping when he's hurt
- and Blink's hands playing with his hair doesn't help

- if Blink plays with his hair, he's asleep within five minutes

- and when Mush can sell again
- Blink makes him sell with him

- you'd think they'd get tired of each other
- I'll give you the short answer;
- never.

- Blink hates it when Mush cries
- (they don't fight over much)
- he sings, he pokes him, he tells him horrible jokes that somehow make Mush laugh
- just so he can stop crying and smile

- Blink has definitely reminded Mush to not pay for sweets for him as a present.
