Canon Era
Third Person POV
Race sat on Spot's perch, sitting up and leaning against the 'wall' (?).
Elmer laid on the perch, the top half of his body/mainly his head laid in Race's lap.
Race played with his boyfriend's hair.
"Your freckles look like stars." Race mutters, his eyes studying Elmer's freckles.
A grin appeared on Elmer's face. "Make a new star." He tells Race, giggling lightly.
Race grins.
He traces across a few of Elmer's freckles. "There." He states. "Elmer Kasprzak's Star." He names it.
Elmer giggles a bit.
"I was looking for Spot." They heard chuckles. "You two aren't Spot." They state.
Race and Elmer sit up, looking over the edge of the perch.
"Hey!" Elmer grins, waving.
Race slips his legs under the bar of the perch, letting his legs swing over the edge and holding onto the bar that crossed over his chest.
Elmer copies his actions.
Pack and Match chuckle.
Pack was the leader of Midtown.
Match was his boyfriend and the leader of Richmond.
Their Seconds and Thirds stood behind them, also quite amused by the King of Brooklyn's youngest boyfriends.
"Where are your boyfriends?" Match asks them with a small chuckle.
Race and Elmer share a look.
They look back over at the leaders in unison, shrugging together.
The foreign borough boys on the dock chuckle, along with some Brooklyn Newsies who were watching.
"I think they're... uh..." thinking was very hard for Race at the moment. His brain didn't want to work. "talking?" He shrugs a bit.
Match chuckles. "That's not helpful, Racer." He responds.
"Oh." Race stops. "Well," his smirk returned. "Mission accomplished." He grins cheekily.
Match chuckles again.
"Oh..." Race starts, noticing something behind Match.
His brain was failing at life and processing stuff.
Elmer looks where he's looking.
He grins, waving. "Hi guys!" He greets his boyfriends.
Albert and Spot chuckle, looking up at them and waving as they walked down the dock.
"Okay, I'm done here." Race lays, on his back, on the perch. "If you need me, I'm turning my brain off." He states, pushing his hat over his eyes.
Elmer crawls back with him, laying next to him.
"Last time you did that, I said something and you responded with a sarcastic remark." Albert points out, looking up at the perch.
He could only see Elmer's feet, but he knew they were up there.
"I don't need my brain to be sarcastic." Race responds, his eyes closed as he brushes Albert's comment off.
Albert rolls his eyes.
The other boys chuckle.
"Sorry you had to deal with that." Spot apologizes to Match and Pack. "He gets sarcastic and adorable when he's tired." He explains.
Match and Pack chuckle.
"Don't apologize." Match tells him. "It's amusing and my boyfriend is adorable when he's tired as well." He shoots Pack a smirk.
Pack plays off the blush on his face. "It's cute." He shoots Spot a small smile.
Spot and Albert chuckle.
Elmer looks at Race.
He noticed Race's face was red under the hat.
He giggles. "Race's face is red." He states.
Albert and Spot chuckle.
"And so are tomatoes." Race responds, his eyes still closed. "It's really nothing special." He states.
Albert shakes his head, chuckling.
He presses a soft kiss to Spot's cheek, before heading to the perch and clinging up it.
When Albert got up there, Elmer hugged him.
He leaned his back against the perch 'walls' and let Elmer lay in his lap, his head tucked in Albert's shoulder.
Race just laid on his back, on the perch. His hat was still over his head and his knees were bent and up.
When Pack and Match left
Spot climbs up the perch.
Albert had fallen asleep with Elmer (asleep) still in his lap.
Race had also fallen asleep.
Spot chuckles, laying next to Race.
He didn't touch Race, but he knew that Race would unconsciously snuggle closer to him.
It's how it worked with him.
Both Race and Elmer clung to either Albert, Spot, or each other while they slept.
After a few minutes of closing his eyes and starting to drift to sleep, Spot vaguely remembered feeling someone's head on his chest.
His hand immediately went to their hair, playing with it softly.
He was asleep a few minutes later.
Later that night
When Spot woke up, it was pitch black outside.
It was a nice night; warm, but had a slight breeze.
Race was no longer on Spot, confusing him.
Spot sat up, looking around for Race.
He saw a shadow of a figure on the edge of the perch, his feet over the edge and him holding onto the bar that crossed over his chest.
Spot immediately knew it was Race.
When he moved closer to him, he heard him mumbling stuff.
"You can only see about 2,000 stars on a very dark night from just your eyes on any place on Earth." Race mumbles to himself. "And to do that, you need to be far from any source of light and the moon can't be out."
He looks back up at the sky. "As I can see," he starts. "That's not possible tonight." He chuckles softly to himself.
Spot chuckles, sitting next to Race, his feet swinging over the edge.
Race jumps a bit.
"Oh." He looks at his oldest boyfriend. "Hi, Spot. Didn't mean to wake you." He mutters.
"You didn't." Spot responds with a soft smile.
Race looks bank at the stars. "Did you know that most people believe that the Moon was created when a rock, the size of Mars, smashed into the Earth?" He asks his boyfriend.
Spot shakes his head.
He was honestly amazed by what Race knew; it was fascinating.
Race nods. "They do." He tells him. "And every year, the Moon drifts about 3.8 centimeters away from the Earth." He informs Spot.
"Specs teaching measurement?" Spot asks Race with a chuckle.
Race nods. "Numbers are easy to me." He responds.
Spot nods.
Spot notices Albert sitting down on the other side of Race.
"And the Sun and the Moon are not the same size." Race chuckles softly. "Not by a lot." He states.
"Which one's bigger?" Elmer asks groggily from behind Race.
Race jumps a bit.
He looks between his boyfriends, now noticing Albert as well. "Did I wake you all?" He asks nervously.
They each shake their head.
Race exhales slowly.
Albert shoots him a reassuring smile.
"So," Elmer starts groggily, laying his head in Race's lap. "Which one's bigger?" He asks curiously.
Race plays with Elmer's hair. "The Sun is bigger, being about-" he stops, trying to remember what he read. "400 times the size of the Moon."
Elmer looks up at Race, his eyes tired. "That's big." He tells Race.
Race nods.
Albert and Spot chuckle.
"Did you know that stars travel in clusters or with companions?" Race asks his boyfriends, looking at the stars in the sky as he continued to play with Elmer's hair.
Albert raises an eyebrow. "Really?" He questions.
Race nods, looking at him. "Yup. They're also born in batches, but not all stars stay in batches or with a partner." He explains. "For instance, our Sun doesn't have a companion or cluster."
Albert nods.
"I'm so glad I have companions." Elmer mutters, his eyes closed. "The Kasprzak Star travels with its three boyfriends." He states.
His three boyfriends chuckle.
"Seems like a lonely life without any companions." Race mutters.
"Do you think the Sun lives a 'life'?" Elmer asks him, drifting off to sleep more by every second.
"Yeah." Race answers. "The beauty they are may live a different life, but no matter what anyone tells me, they do live one." He states.
Elmer nods.
Albert and Spot share a small chuckle.
They knew their boyfriends wouldn't remember their in the morning and that they were acting so innocent since they were tired (and Elmer's an innocent boy) but it wad still cute.
And they'd definitely tease them in the morning.

I know wayyy too many facts because of my headcanon (which I love) where Race loves astronomy/astrology.
