Third Person POV

Antonio sat in the chair, his head in his hands as he sobbed.

The door to the room opened. Someone walked in and closed it again.

Antonio didn't look up.

"Kid," a gruff voice started.

"Jackie..." Antonio whispered, his grip on himself tightening. "Where a- are you?" His voice was as light as a breath, if it was even that.

"Kid, I need you to talk to me." The person in front of him pulled a chair out.

Antonio whimpered, covering his ears because of the horrible sound of his chair scraping the floor.

The person stopped. The sighed as they sat down. "You can see your brothers sooner if you cooperate," he told him.

Antonio lifted his head up.

The policeman gasped. He reached out towards Antonio.

Antonio pulled away quickly, standing up. He stumbled a bit, catching himself on the wall. "Don't touch me," he whimpered.

The policeman stood up quickly. "Kid, you need to get to a hospital," he said, stepping towards him. "I don't know why they brought you here and not to one," he muttered.

"Stop." Antonio whimpered, pushing himself against the wall in the corner of his room.

The policeman stopped. He sighed. "Who was Mr. Snyder to you?" he asked him.

Tears formed in Antonio's eyes. He gripped his arm lightly, digging his nails into it. "He- he- he's my- my foster parent," he whispered.

Abuse was the only word that popped into the policeman's mind. He frowned. "Who are Jack Kelly and Charlie Morris to you?" he asked him.

Tears streamed down Antonio's cheeks. "My- brothers," he whispered, starting to hyperventilate.

The policeman's eyes widened. "Hey, hey, calm down," he told him quickly.

"Please don't take them away from me, please," Antonio pleaded quietly, struggling to get air into his lungs. "Please, I can't-" he choked out a sob.

The door to the room opened and someone ran in.

The policeman looked at the other police officer.

"He said he could help," the police officer explained softly.

The policeman nodded.

Sean grabbed Antonio, holding him tightly.

"Sean," Antonio breathed. He sobbed as he held him.

"It's okay, Toni. I'm here for you," Sean whispered to him, running his hands through Antonio's hair. He stopped when he felt a wet liquid. His eyes widened and he turned back to the police officers. "Why isn't he at a hospital?" he asked them.

"The other two refusing to go to hospitals," the police officer informed him.

"And we needed to ask them some questions about Mr. Snyder," the policeman added.

Sean gritted his teeth.

Antonio tensed. "Please, I need them," he whispered. "Don't take them away from me. Please don't leave me," he pleaded with Sean, holding onto him tightly.

Sean held him. "I got you, Toni," he assures him. "No ones taking us away from you. Not me, not Jack, not Charlie," he told him quietly.

"Call an ambulance," the first policeman whispered to the other one. "Get the other kids in here and call the woman who Jack mentioned," he told him.

The officer nodded, leaving the room.

"No," Antonio's grip on Sean tightened, tears streaming down his face, "no hospitals. Please," he whispered.

"It's okay, Toni," Sean ran his hands through Antonio's hair, the younger boy's head laying against his chest. "Jackie, Charlie, and I will be here for you. They're just gonna help you," he assured him. "We'll be with you through it all."

Two other kids came running into the room.

Sean let go of Antonio.

Jack grabbed him. "Toni, I got you," he whispered, a sigh of relief escaping his lips. "I'm here for you."

"They're calling an ambulance," Sean whispered to Jack, worry flooding his eyes.

Davey nodded. "That's a good idea," he mumbled. "You're all really injured. I mean, Charlie can't walk," he pointed out.

Jack didn't respond to them. He hated hospitals as much as Antonio. He lifted the younger boy's face, his hands cupping his cheeks as he stared into his eyes.

He hated seeing tears in his brother's blue eyes.

Jack frowned as he looked at him. "What'd he do to you?" he whispered, checking his head for injuries. "I left for ten minutes at the most," he mumbled, feeling guilt flood through his body.

Davey squeezed his shoulder.

Tears slipped out of Antonio's eyes and slid down his cheeks.

Jack wiped them off gently with his thumbs. He noticed Antonio wince. It didn't take long for him to figure out why. "He-" his mouth fell open slightly, "he slapped you?" he whispered. "Where are the other injuries?"

The policeman watched them intensely.

Antonio whimpered. "He threw- it- it at me," he whispered, trying to shrink down.

Jack looked at the back of Antonio's head, resting the boy's forehead against his chest. His eyes widened when he found a lot of blood on the back of his head, behind his left ear. "Oh my God," he whispered.

Paramedics flooded the room.

Antonio clung to Jack, tears streaming down his face. "No, please," he whispered. "Don't leave me. I don't want to go back to a hospital," he begged quietly, struggling to get air into his lungs.

Jack looked at Sean and then at the paramedics. His eyes instantly hardened. He didn't trust paramedics.

One of them stopped the others. "They don't trust us," he pointed out, his voice soft.

"They're victims of abuse; they don't trust anyone but each other," another one responded. "We still have a job to do," he stated, trying to step towards them.

The first one stopped him. "No, no, this is much deeper trauma," he responded.

The second one rolled his eyes. "You have five minutes before we just grab them and sedate them if we have to," he told him, crossing his arms.

Jack's grip on Antonio tightened, his arms around him protectively.

Sean looked at Davey. "Is Charlie alone?" he asked him quietly.

Davey shook his head. "Patrick and Spencer are with him," he informed him, his voice soft.

Sean nodded.

The first paramedic stepped a bit towards the boys. "Hey," he smiled a bit. "My name is Jameson."

Jack kept his eyes on him, not fully trusting him.

Jameson's eyes flicked to all of the bruises and cuts on Jack and Antonio as he looked at them. He frowned. "What are your names?"

Jack's eyes stayed on him for a moment, before he looked at Antonio. "I'm Jack..." he whispered. "This is Antonio," he played with his hair, "and that's Sean and Davey."

Jameson smiled a bit. "It's nice to meet you all," he said. "How old are you all?" he asked.

"I'm fourteen," Jack and Sean whispered in unison.

"I'm thirteen," Davey informed Jameson. He looked over at Antonio. "Toni's twelve."

Jameson nodded. "I understand that you've been through a lot recently, yeah?" he asked. He waited until Jack nodded a bit to continue. "I promise you, we're going to figure this all out and the man who hurt you won't hurt you anymore," he assured them.

"One minute," the paramedic behind Jameson grumbled.

Jameson glared at him for a moment, before his eyes softened and he looked back at the boys. "First, however, we need to make sure you're okay and treat your injuries," he told them.

"I don't want to go back to a hospital," Jack mumbled, not meeting Jameson's eyes. "Toni hates hospitals too."

Jameson frowned. "I know. I'm sorry, but you need to be watched for a few days to make sure you're actually okay and that something won't happen," he responded. "You know? We don't want Toni to get hurt, right?" he asked Jack.

Jack nodded a bit.

"How about this," Jameson started, "you and Toni can ride in the ambulance together?" he suggested. "And Sean and Davey can be brought there by Officer Johnson," he added, looking over at the officer.

Officer Johnson nodded.

Jack looked over at Sean and Davey. He knew there was no way Antonio would agree to anything that had to do with hospitals, but he also knew he had to help him. "Yeah?" he whispered.

Sean and Davey nodded. "Yeah," they agreed quietly, in unison.

Jameson smiled.

"Is Charlie okay?" Jack asked Jameson.

"Times up," the second paramedic growled.

One of the other paramedics stopped him from doing anything, much to his annoyance.

Jameson looked over at Officer Johnson.

"That's the last boy. He's also their foster brother," Officer Johnson informed him quietly. "The other two paramedics are with him," he explained.

Jameson nodded. He looked back at Jack. "Yeah, he's okay. I think he just has a broken leg," he informed him.

Jack frowned.

Jameson held out his hand. "Will you come with me?" he asked him.

Jack stared at his hand, just over a moment going by when he stopped forward.

Antonio whimpered quietly at the moment, his head pounding. "Jackie," he whispered.

"I know, Toni," Jack responded softly. "We're gonna get help," he assured him.

Jameson gently held Jack's hand.

Jack helped Antonio walk outside.

Jameson opened the door in the back of the ambulance. He looked at Jack. "Do you two want to lay together?" he asked him.

Jack nodded, still holding Antonio close to him.

Jameson climbed into the ambulance, taking Antonio from Jack's arms.

Jack winced in pain as he climbed in.

The other paramedic patted the stretcher in the ambulance.

Jack laid down on it. Fear flooded his body, but he knew he had to be strong for Antonio.

Jameson laid Antonio on top of Jack. He wouldn't let it show, but worried flooded his body at the fact that Antonio was barely conscious. "Alright," Jameson started, "this is my partner," he gestured to the other paramedic as the ambulance started. "His name is Nicolas."

Nicolas waved, a soft smile on his face.

"Nicholas," Jack whispered to Antonio, "like our friend."

The younger boy didn't respond, his eyes closing.

"Toni," Jack whispered, gently shaking his arm. "Toni, you can't fall asleep," he told him softly.

"Antonio," Nicolas started in a soft tone, "please stay awake for us."

"What's your favorite sport, Antonio?" Jameson asked as he prepared two IVs.

"Track..." Antonio whispered, his voice weak.

"Or dance, right?" Jack asked him, worry flashing through his eyes. "You love to dance."

Antonio nodded weakly, almost immediately wincing in pain.

"Those are good sports," Jameson responded with a smile. "Will you tell us about them while we put an IV in your arm?" he asked him.

Jack looked worried at this idea, but it seemed Antonio was too out of it to worry.

"I like tap..." Antonio whispered.

Nicolas held his arm down lightly as Jameson put the IV in. "What do you like about tap?" he asked.

"The sounds," Antonio mumbled, his eyes fluttering. "The rh- rhythm, the feel..."

Jameson nodded. "Do you like tap, Jack?" he asked as he wiped off the spot he was going to put the IV in on Jack's arm.

Jack felt panic flow through him, but he tried to remain calm. "No," he answered, "but I like watching Toni tap." His voice shook. "His favorite song is Anything Goes right now," he informed Jameson, his eyes squeezed closed and his voice weak.

Jameson nodded. He finished putting the IV in.

Nicolas looked at Jack. "You're doing a great job," he whispered to him, gently caressing Jack's cheek.

Jack looked up at him, his eyes filled with tears. "I'm sorry," he whispered.

Nicolas frowned.

"Two minutes until we're there," the paramedic driving the ambulance informed Jameson.

Jameson nodded.

"Why are you sorry?" Nicolas asked Jack softly. "No one's mad. We understand that this is a lot and it's scary. You and your brothers are going to be okay, we promise," he assured him, gently wiping the tears off of Jack's face.

Jameson frowned when he looked at Antonio. "He's unconscious," he muttered to himself, grabbing a cloth. "He's lost a lot of blood." He lifted Antonio's head a bit and held the cloth against the wound.

Jack closed his eyes, trying to calm himself as a ringing sounded in his ears.

Nicolas looked at Jameson, his eyes filled with worry. "I know we said we wouldn't separate them, but I think that we may need to for a few minutes," he told Jameson.

Jameson nodded. "We need another stretcher," he said. "He's lost a lot of blood and we need to make sure he doesn't lose anymore," he stated.

Nicolas nodded. "Jack's out too," he said.

Jameson looked at their vitals. "He's, thankfully, just asleep," he said. "And so is Antonio, but I'm worried about his heart rate slowing," he informed Nicolas.

They pulled into the hospital.

All at once, doctors and nurses surrounded them.

They grabbed a second stretcher and Jameson placed Antonio down on it.

Jack woke up for a moment, panicking because of all of the people, but after they got a mask on his face, he fell asleep.

Later

Jack woke up to a steady beeping.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

Jack groaned softly. "Someone turn it off..." he whispered.

There was a chuckle from next to him. "We can't, bud, that's telling us that you're alive," they informed him.

Jack lifted his arms, wincing in pain as he brought them to his face and rubbed his eyes. "Where's Toni?" he whispered.

Jameson frowned. "He's in surgery, bud."

Jack shot up. He cried out in pain when pain flooded his body.

"Woah! Woah!" Jameson quickly and gently laid him back down. "He's gonna be okay. The surgery has been going well," he assured him.

Jack winced in pain. "Where's Charlie?" he asked.

Jameson watched him. "You are really a big brother, aren't you?" he asked him.

Jack's eyebrows furrowed. "What?"

"You're more worried about your brothers than you are yourself," Jameson stated. He smiled a bit. "You remind me of my brother," he said.

Jack tilted his head a bit. "What's he like?"

Jameson chuckled. "Well, he really likes to hold it over my head that he's older," he explained. "He's a firefighter, so I do see him a lot because we work at the same firehouse," he informed Jack.

"You work at a firehouse?" Jack asked Jameson, looking confused. "Aren't you a paramedic?"

Jameson chuckled. "Yes, I'm one who works with firefighters," he informed Jack. "My ambulance usually goes to fires with firefighters so if anyone was hurt, we can help them without having to send out a whole different call," he explained. "And we still take calls for when people just need paramedics," Jameson added.

Jack nodded. "So Charlie is okay?" he asked.

Jameson nodded. "He's not awake yet. He also had to have surgery to fix his leg so that it could heal properly," he informed Jack. "They'll move you to a room together when he wakes up. Same with Antonio," he said.

Jack nodded.

Jameson looked at the clock. "I have to get going back to my work," he informed Jack. "How about I send Sean and Davey in and I'll come back with a few of my firefighter buddies?" he suggested.

Jack nodded.

Jameson got up, smiling. He started to leave the room.

"Jameson?"

Jameson looked back at Jack. "Yeah?"

"Thank you," Jack whispered.

Jameson smiled. "You're welcome, bud." He left the room.

Davey and Sean came in a few minutes later.

Davey sighed in relief. "You're okay," he whispered, quickly going over to Jack.

Jack nodded. "I'm okay," he whispered, holding Davey's hands.

Davey's cheeks reddened.

Jack looked over at Sean.

Sean was anxiously waiting for something.

Jack frowned. "Jameson said the surgery was going well," he informed Sean.

Sean nodded. "Thanks," he mumbled.

Davey looked at Jack. "Medda's here," he informed him.

Jack grinned. "Really?"

Davey nodded. "Do you want to see her?" he asked.

Jack nodded.

There will be a part 2 to this hopefully out later today lol.
I have so many ideas and have been trying to write the one-shot ideas, but I just have no motivation to and it sucks.

I love Andy's Crutchie.
