Third Person POV

"AHHH!!"

Romeo, JoJo, and Knobs went tumbling into their foster brother's room, their eyes wide.

"What happened?!"

"Are you okay?!"

The brunette haired boy squeals, turning to face them with the biggest grin on his face. "My first Soulmate letter came!" He exclaims, jumping up and down.

JoJo and Romeo squeal.

Knobs tries to leave the room.

Romeo grabs his wrist and pulls him over to the bed where the four boys flop down on it, Knobs under JoJo and Romeo so he didn't leave.

"Guysss," the French boy whines. "I want to read in peaceeeeeee." He complains.

JoJo scoffs. "You're just annoyed that your letter hasn't come yet." He waves it off.

Knobs rolls his eyes. "Love is gross." He sticks his tongue out in disgust.

Mush looks up from his letter and makes eye contact with Knobs. He smirks. "That opinion will change once you've met your Soulmate." He comments, looking back at his letter with a knowing smirk.

Knobs rolls his eyes again.

"Anyway," JoJo starts. "Open it! Open it!" He exclaims, grinning as he shakes Mush's arm.

Mush laughs. "Okay, okay," he slowly starts to open it. After a second, he stops.

Romeo, JoJo, and Knobs looks at him, confused.

"Why'd you stop?" Knobs asks.

Mush bites his lip. "What if they hate me because I'm a boy?" He asks. "They could not be Gay or they could be a female and a Lesbian!" He exclaims.

JoJo waves him off. "Soulmates are made for each other." He reminds him. "They'll be perfect for you, you two will be an amazing match." He assures him.

Mush nods.

"How does that even work?" Knobs mutters grumpily, his hands holding up his head as JoJo and Romeo sat and laid on him. "There are so many people in the world, how can everyone just have a-" he starts.

Romeo presses a finger to his lips. "Hush, Key-hole."

Knobs rolls his eyes, pushing Romeo's finger away.

Mush and JoJo giggle.

Mush starts to open the letter again, pulling it out of the envelope.

He runs his thumb across the smooth feeling of the paper as a smile appears on his face. "They decorated it." Mush whispers, blush already finding its way onto his cheeks.

"Aww!" Romeo and JoJo chorus.

Mush opens the letter and starts reading it.

"Dear Soulmate,

Hi.
I don't really know how to start this. I'm not really one who's very good at the whole 'oooh, people I don't know, let's go talk to them!', you know?
It makes it easier knowing you're my Soulmate."

Mush was interrupted by JoJo. "They sound adorable!" He exclaims.

Mush giggles. "The awkwardness is cute." He adds. "We'll make an adorably awkward pair." He states.

"I guess I should probably tell you about myself, huh? The boys (my chosen/adopted brothers) keep poking at me as I write this on what not to do and what to do, since all but one of them have sent their letters (the other isn't sending the first one).

The four boys on Mush's bed laugh.

"Brothers?" Knobs repeats.

"Sounds like there's a lot of them." JoJo comments.

Mush nods.

"My names Louis Baletti-Larkin (my adoptive mother's name). The boys call me Blink, or Kid Blink, or Kid. There's really a whole assortment of nicknames we all have. Someone once called me Blind Diamond.
My pronouns are he/him, I'm sixteen, and I'm Bisexual."

"Bisexual!" Romeo cheers.

Mush bites his lip to hide his smile, his cheeks a rosy color.

"I hope you don't mind, or judge me for this, but I have an eyepatch. There was an accident a while ago... in one of my foster homes, and I can't see out of that eye."

Mush frowns. "Why would I mind or judge?" He mutters to himself.

"I'm sorry I'm so awkward. I'm usually like cocky and loud and annoying, but I just... I want you to like me, so I'm kinda nervous. Sorry."

"That makes two of us." Mush whispers, gently rubbing the corner of the paper with his thumb.

"I hope you right back soon and don't mind that you have me as your Soulmate.
Love you already,
Louis."

Mush smiles, his cheeks red. "He drew a heart." He points out.

The other three boys there smile.

"Write back!" Romeo exclaims, jumping up and grabbing a quill and paper.

Confused, Mush holds the quill in his hand. "Why do we have a quill and why should I-" he starts, looking up at Romeo.

"Because quills take better photos." JoJo grins at him, holding up his phone.

Still smiling, Mush rolls his eyes as he takes the quill and paper.

About two weeks later

("Two weeks later, I'm writing a letter nightly." Lol.)

Mush grins to himself when he sees that he had another letter.

He quickly opens it, figuring he could tell his brothers later.

"Dear Nicholas,
That feels weird to me haha. I now know your name. Interesting."

Mush laughs.

"It's a very cute name, don't get me wrong, I like it.
The picture your brothers forced you to send is cute too, just like you *imagine a winky face* tell them I said thank you for that. I'll treasure it forever."

Mush blushes.

"Your nickname is cute too.
Wow, you're just full of cuteness, aren't you?"

Mush sighs slightly, smiling and blushing. "I guess in your eyes I am." He whispers.

"Anyway, I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I was when I saw that you responded. You were so quick!
My brothers keep making fun of me, but Race (he's fifteen and the youngest, other than Lucky, who's ten), really shouldn't speak because he hasn't gone through this yet, and Jack (who's seventeen and the oldest) doesn't tease me as much because he thinks it's cute."

"I was excited too." Mush chuckles to himself.

"What do you do activity wise?
I play football on my school's team and I like video games. Common, I know."

Mush giggles. "It's cute."

"Speaking of school, I have that in a few minutes. I better get going.
Can't wait to hear from you again (:
Love you tons,
Louis."

Mush smiles.

"(P.S. I left a picture of myself :)"

Mush sets the letter down on his desk and grabs the picture out of the envelope. He unfolds it.

Mush's cheeks turn bright red. "Well, damn." He mutters. "He's cute." Mush looks back at the letter. "I could die happily right here," he mutters. Mush laughs to himself as he starts getting the supplies to write back.

A few months later

For months, Mush and Blink sent letters back and fourth between each other.

Mush's nicknames for Blink were Louie, baby, and lovey.

Blink's for Mush we're Mushy, Nick/Nicky, love/lovey/lovely, bub, bubby, and a variety of others.

Mush felt like there was a new one at least once per letter.

He'd signed his last letter to Blink off as "Hope I get to meet you soon, Nick."

What he didn't know was that he'd meet Blink sooner than he thought he would.

All he knew at the moment was that JoJo and Romeo had gotten El (and were dragging Knobs into this as well), and were guiding Mush somewhere with a blindfold over his eyes.

"Guys..." Mush starts slowly. "I don't trust you one bit to not get me killed- or even as to where we're going." He tells them.

Mush pictured them rolling their eyes.

Knobs muttered an "I wouldn't either".

And there were a lot of unfamiliar chuckles.

Mush gasps dramatically. "You're selling me, aren't you?" He asks. "I always knew you didn't like me."

Romeo and JoJo roll their eyes.

"I mean, I figured our wedding wouldn't be a forced marriage, but if you're okay with it, either way works for me." Mush heard an unfamiliar voice comment. "It gets us more money to have you sold into it." He chuckles.

The blindfold was pulled off of Mush's eyes, revealing Blink, standing there in front of him.

Mush gasps. "Blink!" He squeals, running over to him and knocking him over in a hug.

He heard lots of chuckles as he held onto Blink as tightly as he could.

"Ello, love." Blink greets, smiling as he holds Mush in his arms. "I'm glad you're eager to see me, but you've just broken my back." He informs him.

Mush quickly scrambles to get off of him, his eyes wide. "I'm so sorry!" He exclaims.

More laughs from the boys around him.

Blink chuckles. "I still would like hugs." He informs him, holding open his arms as he sits on the ground.

"Mmm..." Mush hugs him tightly.

A few minutes later

Mush sat on Blink's lap at a diner with the rest of the group.

Blink had introduced his brothers and Mush had introduced him (though Lucky wasn't there cause he's ten).

"So..." Mush starts slowly, taking a sip of the drink he was sharing with Blink.

"Together for seven minutes and they're already acting like a couple." Albert mutters.

Race nods.

Mush blushes.

Blink smiles, pressing a soft kiss to Mush's cheek.

The color of Mush's cheeks redden. "How'd you get Blink here?" He asks.

Romeo chuckles weakly, stirring his drink around in the cup with his straw. "Funny story, actually..." he starts, scratching the back of his neck. "Blink and his brothers live in Lower Manhattan about an hour away." He informs Mush. "And JoJo is Race's Soulmate and JoJo is Albert's." He adds.

Mush's eyes widen and he almost spits out his drink.

Blink chuckles.

"Wow..." Mush leans back against Blink, his eyes still wide. "Okay."

Romeo nods.

"And the reason that Knobs is blushing is because the person in the other group over there is his Soulmate." Elmer adds nonchalantly, pointing lazily over to a group across the cafe.

Mush, Romeo, and JoJo's eyes widen.

Knobs' face turns bright red.

Romeo and JoJo quickly get up, dragging Knobs up with them.

"Guys..." Knobs complains.

"Hush, child." Romeo shushes him again by putting a finger to his lips. "The adults will handle this." He tells him.

Knobs rolls his eyes; sometimes he hated them for this, but at the same time, he wasn't gonna go talk to his Soulmate, so he was kinda glad he had someone to force him to.

He just wished they wouldn't sometimes.

Mush presses a soft kiss to Blink's lips. "I'll be right back; brother duty calls." He tells him, mumbling against Blink's lips, before pulling away and walking with his brothers to the other table.

Blink watches him, blushing.

"See that puppy-dog, lovesick look on his face?" Albert asks Race, pointing to Blink. "That's gonna happen to you soon." He informs him.

Blink rolls his eyes.

Race smacks Albert with his hat.

Jack chuckles.

Blink sips from the straw of the drink he was sharing with Mush as he watches the brunette boy, a soft smile on his face.

I couldn't have wished for a better Soulmate. He's perfect.

I thought this was cute (: and can you believe that this is only the fifth all-focus-on-Blush one-shot I've done? Blush has been in other chapters, but this is only the fifth based on Blush one. I need to write more Blush lol, they're so cute.
