Katherine couldn't help but laugh at Jack . He was too focused on his son .

Katherine first met Jack during the new boys strike . Little did either of them know Jack had a son.

His name was Mason (#kardasian ) . His mother was jacks old girlfriend and she had passed away .

No one in her family wanted to take care of him so her brother found Jack and placed little three month old Mason on the door step in a basket .

Katherine's father was all against the idea of Katherine being with Jack , but the fact he had a bastard child made him even angrier.

Quickly Pulitzers feelings changed . When he met Mason he giggle at Joe , earning a soft smile . Joe enjoyed Mason's company .

"Jack ? " Katherine said . Jack was currently rocking the baby back and forth.

"Huh ?" He said looking up . "Your tired go to bed I can take care of him " she said . He shook his head no .

Jack didn't want Mason to think Katherine was his mother . Because deep down he knew one of Mason's mothers family members would come back from him . And he didn't want him to go trust him or Katherine anymore .

"Jack , your tired , you need sleep " she said . "Katherine I'm fine " he the. Yawned . "Jack !" She said in a yelling whisper . "Fine !"

True Jack and Katherine were married . But Jack didn't want to share Mason . He didn't want to her Katherine because they both knew she could never be his birth mother .

He handed Mason to her and kissed his sons head and wife's lips , "night " he said waking off to their bedroom.

Katherine held Mason , who was crying and fussy . She had never taken care of Mason by herself , but she knew she could . After all she was his stepmother .

Mason's crying grew louder and louder .

Katherine knew Jack would come into his room any minute and take him .

"Hush, little baby, don't say a word" she then though if she should say mamma , after all she and Jack we're going to raise him . As a team .

By the time she sang the song he was asleep . It was already 7:27 in the morning and Jack would be up soon to get ready for work .

"Hey " Jack said coming into the nursery . "Hi " she said back a sleeping Mason in her arms . "You got him to sleep ?" "Yeah wasn't too hard " "good , you sang ?"

"Yeah ," "Mamma ?" "I didn't want to say Step Mothers gonna buy you a mocking bird ! That's dumb ! " "Mamma ? Katherine we talked about this !" "Jack , what's the harm we will tell him the truth! This is my one shot to have a baby because you and I know by the time Mason's old enough for us to have one of our own we'll be to busy and tired ! " she said .

"Katherine, it's just I don't want you to get hurt " "I won't ! " she said .

Mason began to cry again .

"Hush little baby don't say a word, " Katherine said Mason was a tad fussy but was claiming down .

"Mammas gonna buy you a mocking bird " Jack finished for her . Mason was asleep again and Katherine put him in his crib .

"Mamma ?" "Let's do it , he's ours now . " "what ?" "Well go to the court when he wakes up and you can officially adopt him !" He said .

Katherine smiled and locked her arms around his neck , his wrapped around her waist and they shared a sweet beautiful kiss .
