Jack's POV

"Y/N! Come on!" I grab her hand as she jumps on the back of the carriage. "Thanks Jack." She whispers, breathing heavily.

We jump off at queens. "You best get back to your boys." I say, putting an arm around her. "Thanks for getting me out Jack. You know that if you ever need me and the boys of Queens, you got us."

I smile and watch her walk away, then sneak back to Manhattan.

Reader POV

I walk in to the lodging house and I hear yells of excitement. "She's back, boys! Y/N is back!" I hear my second in command yell. I grin as the littler boys gather round. " I missed ya, boys. We owe this to Jack Kelly from Manhattan."

They all nod vigorously. "Whatever he needs."

TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE CARRIAGE

Over time Jack and I became friends, and I never forgot that day that he saved me.

One day, some boys, not my newsies, came in.

"We need your help. We were sent by Jack Kelly from Manhattan." the one with glasses says.

I raise an eyebrow, though I know I'm going to say yes anyway.

"What do you need?" I ask in as best of a skeptical voice as I can.

"We're going on strike. These new prices just ain't fair, so we going on strike." The one with longer hair says.

I grin. "What you don't know, boys, is that I owe Jack big time. He saved my life basically, so we're in. You have him tell us what he needs." I say

They laugh in excitement. "Thank you so much, Jacks gonna be happy!" one with curly hair.

They leave and my second in command comes up to me. "Are you sure about this?" He asks. 

I nod with a surety. "Yes. If it weren't for Jack, who knows where we'd all be? He needs our help and we will give it to him."
