"David, its fine, Its not like Jack is going to hurt me!!" Kayleigh Jacobs was sitting at the dinner table, glaring at her brother, at least where she thought he was. David huffed and said, "I don't trust him with you Leigh, he will break your heart." She looked toward her dad(where she coulde hear him at least), who was sitting in a chair, reading the paper. "Daddy, tell him I will be fine! He isn't any older than me." Her father looked up with a smile on his face, "I don't like this anymore than you do David, but Kayleigh is old enough to make her own decisions." She smiled huge and hugged her dad. "Thank you, David, get me my cane." David handed Kayleigh her cane and he escorted her to the newsies lodging house for her very first date with Jack Kelly.

 Jack took her by the hand the moment he saw her. "Its okay David, I got her." He grabbed a basket and said, "I have a picnic planned out for us, Blue Eyes." She smiled and leaned into him. They walked to Central Park, holding hands and being sweet. When they got there, she looked at him, at least as much as she could. "Jack, Why me? You could have anybody and you chose the poor, blind sister of The Walking Mouth." He chuckled and picked her up, bridal stylr, and laid her on the old, ratted blanket. "Because, you see me better than anyone else, and I absolutely love you for that." He leaned down, brushing his lips to hers. She pulled him closer, holding his head to her, wanting as much of him as she could get. "Everybody wants me to stay away." He pulled back and smiled "What did you say?" She smiled and reached for his hand "He is everything to me, and I can't leave him alone." He pulled her even closer, the two lovers ignoring everything but each other.
