you sat there, waiting for Ace and your father, Joseph Pulitzer himself, to finish talking. Ace had gone in to ask your dad for permission to marry you and it had been a while. Finally, they finished. The door opened and you waited to hear what he had to say.

"Sweetheart, how could you love this boy? He is nothing but a street rat and I will not stand for it! You will never see this boy again, or else you are no longer my daughter!" your father said coldly. 

Tears dripped down your face. You loved him. "Father...he is a good man!" You grabbed his hand. "Lets go." You both ran out the door, your father screaming in the distance.

Once you were far enough away, you fall to the ground and put your face in your hands. "I'm sorry Ace." You sob.

Ace puts his hand on your shoulder. "Y/N... I love you. Ive loved you for a long time and I want you to be my wife. Everything will be okay if we just hold on."

You look up at him with a half smile. "Lets go."

TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY SPOT'S SLINGSHOT

You wore a nice white dress, holding Spots hand as you were about to walk down the aisle. You wished your father was there, but Spot had been gracious enough to offer to escort you down the aisle. 

You smiled brightly as you walked, all your newsie friends had gathered, though many were no longer newsies, and had wives of their own. Ace stood with a large grin on his face. He took your hands and you stared into his eyes.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife"

You stood in your kitchen, waiting for your husband to come home from work. You had made up a nice meal and waited. 

"Hello sweetheart, I'm home!" He called. You smiled as he came into view. You hugged him and took his hands. 

"Before we eat, I have an announcement." You say, wringing your hands. "What is it, my dear?" He asks. You smile and take his hand, putting it on your stomach.

"Y/N?! You're...we're...having a baby?!?" He gasped with the largest grin you have ever seen.

"Yes! Aren't you excited?" You say giggling. He picks you up and swings you around the room. "Of course! I'm so happy! We're gonna have a family, my love!" 

You had three children, two boys and a girl. Your father eventually softened his heart when he heard you had children, and in the end, you were all a very happy family.
