Ashlie always hated thunderstorms,

Ever since she was nine.

It was turning into a really big problem really, but living in a house where guys could ridicule you're every move...

She didn't necessarily tell them.

So now she sat,

Curled up in a ball.

Crying,

Telling herself to calm down and it's okay.

"Ash?" Cory's voice called, "What?" She managed and brought her knees closer up to her chest. "Ash..." He sat near the corner of her bed, "What Cory?" She snapped.

"You okay..?" "Yeah! Fine, I love spending my nights crying and scared huddled in my blanket, it's how I spend all my nights." Her bottom lip quivered as Cory grabbed her hands and sat her up.

"It's okay, it's just a storm. It passes," He smiled weakly.

"I don't know Cory, here I am, twenty and crying, because of a thunderstorm." She said, slightly more calm.

"We all have our fears, it's okay..." He continued holding onto her hands and pulled her into a hug.

"It's okay, just breath..." He whispered in her ear as her heart slowed down and sniffled every now and then.

"Thanks Cory," She muttered.

"Anytime." They pulled away, "Goodnight, Ash." He got off the bed.

"Goodnight... Cory," She whispered and laid back down.

"Love you..." She mumbled before falling asleep.
