3rd person POV

CRACK!

Ashlie jumped in her bed. She let out a small squeal and shut her eyes tightly. She hated thunderstorms.

And there was a thunderstorm outside.

Whoosh!

Crack!

BANG!

Ashlie hid under her blankets.

She couldn't keep her sobs in. She was bawling in her blamket. She then heard a knock on the door. "W-w-who is i-it?" she sobbed. "Ash?" she heard a voice.

"Nick?" she says. She wipes her tears and looks at the door.

"Are you okay, I though I heard you crying?" Nick says.

"That w-wasn't me." Ashlie stutters.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was." Nick argues back.

Ashlie then breaks into a fit of sobs. "Come here." Nick says, sympathy in his voice.

Nick walks over to her and engulfs her in a hug. She cries on his chest and he rubs her back.

"Here." Nick says, he picks her up bridal style and walks downstairs. "Lets get you water." Nick says.

He puts her down but keeps his arm around her. She snuggles under his arm and closes her eyes. Nick fills a glass of water and hands it to her. "Drink." He orders. "Okay." Ashlie sniffles.

They sit on the couch. "Wanna play bedwars?" Nick asks. "S-sure." Ashlie says. 

They then walk upstairs. "I'll go get my laptop." Nick says. He comes back and the log in. 

-time skip-

"Take that!" Ashlie yells. 

"Nice!" Nick smiles. They pause and go silent. Ashlie slowly scoots herself into Nick's lap. 

"Thank you." she whispers. "For?" Nick whispers back. "For everything, for helping me through the storm when ai was scared. For caring about me. For making me laugh. Thank you." 

"You're welcome, sweethear-" Nick then realises what he was saying.

"Uuhhh...." he murmurs. "Sweetheart, huh? I like that name, I can deal with it." Ashlie smiles.

"Okay, sweetheart." Nick says, seductivly. He hoists her up and kisses her soft lips.

They move in synce. Ashlie moans quietly. They then break apart and lay down together.

They fall asleept in eachothers arms.

"I will always protect you, sweetheart." Nick whispers.
