Cory's POV

Ashlie layed on my chest as we played the PS4. "You're going down!" I yell. "Mhmm." She says. I notifaction pops up on the side of the screen. It said :

"Oh." I say. Ashlie smiles. She turns her body so that she's sideways on me and she cuddles up into my neck. I hold her tightly. 

"Wanna go on a walk?" I ask. My hand gripping her waist. "Sure." She says. He voice cracking. "Are you okay?" I ask. "Yeah, I don't know why my voice cracked." She says.

Then, she coughs. "Are you sure?" I ask. I feel her head. I pick her up and go to the cabinent. I take out the thermometer and sit back down. "Open your mouth, love." I say. She does and I pop the thermometer in.

When it beeps, I take it out and look at it. 104 degrees. "Maybe no walk." I say. She groans and her head falls on my chest.

Then, I remembered I was getting something for her today.

Nick was bringing it at- Ding Dong! 

Now.

I'll get it, you stay here. I walk over and answer the door. I slip out and takethe thing from him. "Thanks, Ashlie's sick." I say. "Oh, that's not good. Well, I gotta go. Tell Ashlie that I hope she feels better. Bye." Nick says. He walks away.

I wave and go back in, hidding the item behind myback. Ashlie looks at me. "Okay, I got you a surprise." I say.

She sits up and looks at me. I sit down next to her. "Close your eyes and reach out your hands." I say. She does so and I take the small item and put it in her hands.

"Open up." I say, smiling. She opens her eyes and looks down. She gasps and looks at me. She has the biggest smile plastered on her face. Her smile alone makes my heart catch on fire.

"C-cory.. You didn't.." She asks, looking down at the kitten.

"It's for you." I smile. She holds it to her chest and looks at me. Then, she kisses me.

I kiss back and out my arm around her waist. 

"I love you." She says.

"I love you too." I smile.
