An old man
whose house is on fire
He can barely breathe
The situation is dire
A fireman comes in
He runs to the man's room
Risking his own life,
he saves the man from doom

A young girl
playing at the river bank
She falls
A woman drove by as she sank
She gets out of her car
and gets ready to dive
She pulls the girl up
thus saving her life

Such things happen in our world
with each passing day
Why is it that when you watch the news
that's never what you hear them say?
